Seriously, the absolute nicest people that I know are all Arab immigrants. My Dad often speaks of how the 2 Muslim Arabs are the best workers where he works, and everyone likes them. The only guys I talk to at College are 2 Arabs, we don't speak about religion or anything. All the White people in my course are fucking assholes, but the 2 Arabs are great guys. The store across the street from my parents' place, I go in there and the Arab Muslim immigrant gives me discounts, has conversations with me, just a generally great guy. The nicest, hardest working girl at my part time job is an Arab Muslim immigrant. Boy, things are working out great up here.
I wonder why everywhere else is having trouble?

I wouldn't judge a whole race of people based on expierences with 4 individuals.

Well I was using specific examples. When's the last time you heard of clashes between Muslims and non-Muslims in Canada? Meanwhile, I bet Canada has more Arabs (proportionality wise) than the US. I find it strange.

You can say the same thing about the way people generalize a man with a beard and a turban walking down the street, minding his own bees wax, and people stare at him because they believe he may be strapped with some TNT around his waste or because he may be a member of Al-Queda.
There's a rule of thumb when it comes to all groups/races/creeds of people: some are good and some are bad. I have never had a bad experience with Muslims. They are some of the kindest, most generous people I have ever came in contact with. I can't say I know how the Muslims in the Middle East are because I've never been there, but the ones in the United States, and I assume Canada, are for the most part decent citizens.

Generalizations are bad? Is that only when they're positive generalizations about Arabs/Muslims? The reason I ask is because when people like CWalker make negative generalizations, you don't ever say "Generalizations are bad". Just like our government, when dictators let us use their country's resources, they're good dictators, but when they nationalize their land, they suddenly become evil dictators. No wonder you have no problem with our foreign policy, double standards are your thing.

You see, we used to like Saddam. He let us own some of the oil in his country. He was killing people, but we didn't care. When he nationalized the oil fields, he suddenly became a "bad dictator" who kills his people (even though he had been doing it for years).

the new cat from Afghanistan on my old school was one of the nicest cats that there was, and he also got good marks, so I can kinda co-sign.
