-
Nima - much love homie. Fuck The Sauce AND XXL when we've got DubCNN hooking us up! ;D
Only skimmed it cos I'm at work, but read the whole account of vegas, and that shit nearly brought a tear to my eye man - imagine being in Bad Azz's situation. It might not be the fans' place to judge, but I for one say fuck Suge and Kurupt for that.
-
"So I walked out the club, Suge came and catch up to me, put his arm around me like "where you goin?
you leavin so soon? we wanna talk to you, we not finished!" and I'm like "Man you trippin Suge, I'm by myself man, I don't have no win, it's like a giant squashin' a bug right now, gimme a pass, let me go, I ran into a fuckin spider web, let me out!" I was like, not pleadin' for my life, but on some gangsta shit like "look man, you won right now, don't get me right now. I'm by myself! Only thing you could do is kill me right now, don't kill me! Just gimme a pass, let me get outta here, I can't win right now, even if I fight one of you guys and I beat his ass, ya'll gone fuck me up, so I can't win. Just let me go!" And he got me fucked up, and I'll hate him forever! He told those guys "Fuck him up" and I swear to god I thought I never woulda made it out of that scene alive man, I pray to god that I'm here today and
I'm alive right now and I can move around you know what I'm sayin? "
pure comedy
he should write a book

Dope interview man... PROPS!
-
20megs damn this would take me all nite. duz he mention Pac at all? I guess ill read it but I like bad azz!
-
t's like Puffy,
he always makes good raps and makes good songs, but how? He's a wack rapper, and he's a wack producer, but he'll get a dope producer, have him produce a track and he'll put a little bit on it and he'll have a dope rapper write him a rap and he'll put a little bit on it, and then he'll bust it,
HAhaha yea, dope interview, damn he talks a lot but thats good, he gives a lot of info, it would be cool to have him on wcc 2 8)
-
Major props on this interview nima, I think it is the best yet, it is so in depth, and I ain't even half way done readin it. Damn this shit is long! It really makes me reminisce on the old days of rap, when everyone was all together, and hangin together, in the studio together and shit like that. Wow I hope they put out the lbc crew album, and I agree wit bad azz, I think that would have gone 4x platinum at least.
-
I just scanned thru it, cause I don't have time right now, but I read his comment on Dr. Dre and realized that Bad Azz is an idiot.
From his comments it looks like Bad Azz has been at every studio session that Dr. Dre and The Neptunes have held cause he's providing a lot of behind the scenes info and knows about the contracts involved. Why would he say he wants to be on Detox then proceed to talk shit about Dr. Dre saying shit he obviously knows nothing about or a has heard secondhand?
-
yeah it's too long but like good interview

i just scanned through it for right now...he said HE wrote just dippin....weird, 3 other artists are credited. snoop, kurupt, and hittman....dont expect to see bad azz over a dre track anytime soon lol
-
damn pretty tight interview overall but sounds like bad azz doesnt know about some of the things like he saying he does.
-
first off fuck kurupt suge and spider you aint no man hittin a guy when hes out numbered 40 to 1 that aint right
and fuck badd azz he talks sum shit acting a fool talkin bout dre
thanks dubccccccccccc
-
It was a really good interview Nima thanks alot again .
Interesting hearing Bad Azz speak on Dre the way he was. He was making some good points tho about Dre getting other peoples help for his beats.
And it was dope hearing him speak so highly on the 213 record. 8)
-
Tight shit man He spoke the real!! and FUCK KURUPT
-
Nice interview...didn't know Bad Azz was that flamboyant
-
great interview, don't hate on bad azz just cause he spoke tha real bout dre (except the neptunes shit, they are weak). bad don't need dre, sorry guys but there's non-aftermath/shady music out there ;)
-

Don't hate of Bad Azz? Are people hating because they believe he's talking shit about Dre?
He's talking like he knows the details of all of Dr. Dre's and The Neptune's contracts and studio sessions.
Some questions I'm not sure about:
Has Bad Azz ever even worked with the Neptunes?
Do we know of Bad Azz working with Dre in the studio thru the credits anytime other than "Just Dippin'"?

alright you have a point and i don't want to argue, i'm sure we can have intelligent conversation. this is what i was talkin bout mainly:
"and fuck badd azz he talks sum shit acting a fool talkin bout dre"
-
Whoa, great interview.. major props.
But about Bad Azz..
He seems to have a bigger ego than even Jayo Felony, even for being such small figures in the music biz..
I like Bad's music, but when he's talking about being the greatest on the West, and says that Battlecat have made beats for Dre (Yeah right!!), it's seems like he's smoking on something.
Also how he boasts about Fabolous as a great rapper, and Battlecat, Jelly Roll, Neptunes, Fred Wreck as all being better than Dre.. there's something wrong.
Either he's seriously pissed for not getting tossed a Dre-beat, or he was smoking through half of the interview.
-
As much as people dont want to admit, Bad Azz said some true shit about Dre....Because Dre does have alot of people "helping" him to make his beats, where as other producers create there own sounds and make "their own" music. I think Bad Azz has a long way to go tho when hes speaking about being the next "King of the Coast".....I would put alot of other people up there ahead of BadAzz......and BTW, KURUPTS A BITCH! 8)

Yeah, Kurupt IS a bitch if Bad Azz told the whole truth here..
And btw.. there is no way in hell that Dre have put out a Battlecat-beat and labeled it as his own.. no fucking way.
Fred Wreck.. maybe, but there must be a reason why Dre's shit bumps a lot more than Wrecks, so Dre is probably doing more than just polishing the tracks he gets.
And it was never really a secret that Dre have helpers in the studio, and when Bad says that Just Blaze, Battlecat & a lot more is better than Dre, it's pretty obvious that's exaggerating greatly.
-
and says that Battlecat have made beats for Dre (Yeah right!!), it's seems like he's smoking on something.
not to sound like an ass but Battlecat did the Just Dippin Remix lol
-
Just finished listening to the interview and it was well done nima. It was really in depth, i believe most of the things bad azz was saying. Alot of cats been talking about dre not producing his own beats but getting credit for it and how ironic is it for bad azz to say the same thing. Notice how Fredwreck and Just Blaze said they will be helping dre with detox so lets see how this plays out. He is really loyal to Snoop and i admire him for that. It is said how kurupt just watched him get his ass kicked. This story has so many stories i don't know who to believe. I guess we need to hear kurupt's version to decide. I just feel sorry for Roscoe , because he is affliated with deathrow and kurupt. He could do much better. I will be on the look-out for his album titled executive decisions. I don't think he is arrogant as Crooked I though, because has had success. It was also funny how he shitted on Nas, because he tried to over charge him for 16 bars. That is something nas would do for real. One more thing it's good to see him keeping in touch with the lbc crew.
-
and says that Battlecat have made beats for Dre (Yeah right!!), it's seems like he's smoking on something.
not to sound like an ass but Battlecat did the Just Dippin Remix lol
Yeah, I know.. and he also did that track with Knoc-Turn'al feat. Dr.Dre.
But my point is that you have never seen anything listed as "Produced by Dr.Dre", when Dr.Dre really got the beat from Battlecat.
Dre & Battlecat have 2 totally different sounds, and Dre is lightyears ahead Battlecat, imo.
So when Bad Azz says Battlecat "ghost-produced" for Dre, it's almost like saying that Eminem produced the whole Chronic-CD and most of Doggystyle. It's that farfetched to me.
-
So I always set the record straight about Spider. He's a bitch, he punched like a little girl
ahahahah !
props on this interview, i got a alot more respect for him now, esp after that death row beatdown. to come back like that and say FUCK DEATH ROW, that gets respect.
-
Dope interview homie...
but..."The Neptunes are as dope as Dr. Dre. And I didn't say doper, and they're new, they ain't as old as Dre, but on me, they PRODUCED all they songs, Dre don't produce all his songs, look Dre gets props for songs that he didn't produce!"
Thanks for the truth Bad Azz..
It had to be heard.
Truth hurt's
Hatesrats 2oooTre
-
It could be true, I always thought the original Just Dippin sounded like Battlecat production even Dre was credited.
-
hahaha, bad azz called neptunes as good as dre cuz theyre producing for justin timberlake? is he fucking kidding me? and khalil produced for dre? khalil?! khalil's beats are NOTHING like dre's.
but for real, i liked the shit bad said bout death row. he was being real about everything. i bet he sure wants to kill kurupt rite now
-
Great interview.
Im Looking forward to seeing how MELLOWMAN covers the issue of Dre not producing his own stuff.
So many different artists have said he doesn't produce his own stuff and Bad Azz is another in the long list.
DJ Quik >>>>>> Dre

I read it yesterday. That shit is fucking long, but it's also fucking dope. Dope for that interview. Bad Azz's and Soopafly's interview both have been very good.
-
lol sick interview playa, well i cant really comment on the dre shit cuz bad azz obviosuly know mo than any of us about him being in the industry and so on....but i aint gettin into that,
mad props for the interview though, its sick , must have taken forever to write that shit down playa! much respect, i think bad azz is a kat whos someone ya can chill and have a laugh with, he talks alot but he seems a dope kat

Dope interview as ever Nima, but damn does he go on and on, took me like an hour and a bit to read the whole interview.
-
Oh and BTW he was on point on the Dre thing. I think cause he was high he did tell us more than he prehaps would have done if he was completely straight.
-
that interview maybe was the best one ever lol..
i downloaded the audio.. and once i started to lissen to it i couldnt stop lol.. it was really intresting.. :)
-
what if Battlecat did Just dippin :o :o :o :o :o
dont say that Battlecat is different from Dr.Dre,when I first heard Raga lolo's by C-Bo I thought it was a Dre beat but nope it was by Battlecat
-

ironic how DJ Quik praises Dre so much tho? when before he worked with him he felt the same way as everyone else ???
-
Battlecat DID NOT do "Just dippin" !!
He did the remix!!
Dre: "Battlecat, whatchu got for me!!"
Did people sleep on the remix ???
And another thing.. if Battlecat, JellyRoll, Daz, Focus, Khalil and others make so dope beats that they deserve "the Dre-stamp", why doesn't "their own" beats sound anything like that at all ??
I can honestly say I have never heard a Battlecat, Daz, Khalil, or Focus-beat sounding ANYTHING at all like even possibly a Dre-beat.
So the main theory for Dre-haters is that Battlecat, Daz, Khalil, Focus, etc. deliver all their DOPE BANGER-beats to Dre, for him to release under his name ??
And then keep their own mediocre/average beats to release under their own name ?
Don't think so..
-
It fucking SUCKED!!! and you know it nima! you have no skills at all. i'm not hating. just saying. bad ass keept pausing for you to say something and all you did was say "yeah" and that's about it, that's why bad ass keept blabbing on. next time hire someone who can do an interview right! peace.

For one, I don't think the whole Khalil thing is true, unless Dre is getting him to work with him on Detox because no current Dre or Khalil beats do sound alike.
The problem I see with Dre is that he takes advantage of his name to make these other producers do work for him when they are just coming up into the game. For instance, back on the early Death Row releases, Warren G and Daz were just coming into the game, and therefore were just pleased to be working with Dr Dre. Therefore they did a lot of work towards those beats that was uncredited. I'm not saying they solely produced the beats, cause Dre obviously had a role to play in the beats, but they certainly were involved heavily in some of them. When you look at say a Warren G album, after the produced by Warren G part in the credits they list all of the people who played the instruments on the track. I think that this was the sort of role which Daz and Warren played on The Chronic and Doggystyle, and it is probably only because neither of these albums exactly had extensive credits that they were not listed. We have seen since then that Dre has actually listed people such as Scott Storch in his album credits who have played major instruments on tracks, and I mean the whole of 2001 said produced by Dr Dre & Mel-Man so he didn't take any shine away from Mel-Man in that situation.
Don't get me wrong, I do think that Dre does take a lot from these up and coming producers, but what I am saying is that he does normally at least give them some credit even if it isn't like co-produced by, at least they are normally listed in the credits. As for Battlecat and Jelly Roll, they are dope beat makers, but the thing is that when you add Dre to that they become better, because he fiddles with their beats and adds stuff to them to make them doper, without him these beats wouldn't turn out as dope, and therefore he should have some credit on the tracks. Recently he has given equal credit on the cuts he co-produced on Xzibit's album and The Wash soundtrack, which is certainly a good sign.

shits on point. unless they just give dre a melody and he makes it sound that much better. but i doubt even they do that, because you would still notice.
but NO way khalil is ghost producing for dre. listen to anything khalil has EVER produced and see what i'm talking about.
-
Good interview. I skimmed through most of it but I read what he said about the Vegas altercation and Dr. Dre. It's a well known fact that Dre doesn't always produce everything by himself but I think it was real disrespectful of Bad Azz to denounce Dre like that in an interview, and he's supposed to be his friend... to me it's obvious that he's jealous of Dre. And all this BS about being the best talent on the West Coast, negro please. Dude got a ego problem... ::)
Props on the interview.
-
Dam that was a nice interview but it was long as fuck :o

yo i aint no dre hater but are u sayin that khalil daz n battlecat n focus make mediocre and average beats?
Compared to the average Dre-beat - yes.
They have standout moments, but not even near Dre's level.
