I don't eat steak unless its medium rare. Cooked anymore than that and its garbage.

The kobe burger with black truffle oil and crispy prosciutto at I <3 burger at palazzo
And prosciutto & cappola (gabagool) with 3 yr old Italian goat cheese , with a spicy spaghetti addante with cured pork
Wicked spoon buffet (best in Vegas) at the Wynn

Looks killa man. I love a good steak but i've never paid that much for one, no where near looks really good.
I bought a $90 lobster before to try but that was a small compared to some of the other ones in the tank.
We used ta pretty often rack up bills of over $300 but there'd be a few of us. Thats with LOTS of food and appetisers and drinks though.
Was that the sort of place where the waiters place a napkin on your lap and pour your wine for you and all that?

If I am cooking my own steak I am cooking that shit well done, but if I am at a restaurant and its an expensive steak I'll get it medium well or how ever they cook it. A lot of high end spots wont cook your steak well done if you ask. A real good steak you are ruining, but a 10 dollar steak from the grocery store its whatever...

if u guys were my homies, id change you. i had plenty of friends that despised any blood in their steak, theyll cook the steak till its dry. since basically korean bbq is all well done. but me and a couple others talked so much shit they finally get it medium rare, and the love it. but they still get every other meat well done.
you can make a market steak taste just as good and just at juicy and tender if you cook it just right. i mean no where near a $60+ steak, but u can make one like from outback steak house.
do you both cook homemade burgers well done too? no knock, i know ppl prefer well done, but once they get found of medium-rare they never go back

Steak tartare is the shit when its done right. This one spot in Glendale called Carousel has really good steak tartare Lebanese style. I'm sure it doesnt hold a candle up to the stuff you got in Vegas though.

Think i'd pass on those last pics but i too was one that only knew a well done steak and the thought of eating it bloody seemed gross. I got this from my dad, he likes everything well done but when i tried a steak medium rare for the first time i then realized what i was missing out on and would never go back.
Have you guys tried having a steak on a stone grill? you can get it in some pubs here. They serve you teh raw steak on a hot stone with a dipping sauce and you basicly cut it up and eat it as its cooking. Not fancy but bloody good.

anything above medium rare is retarded. if its a nice place i strictly go rare but you cant always trust restaurants so medium rare is the call if im unsure

i cant do medium rare... i guess its the mexican in me... i gotta go medium (pink throughout) when i was a kid though my family always got well done like typical mexicans until i was about 16 my girlfriend made me try medium rare and i didnt like it and the server said let me bring it up to medium, when i did it was so much better so ive stuck to medium ever since

some korean places are better than others, but usually they have sesame oil, mayb garnish with sesame seeds, with an egg on top and korean radishes, and ur mix it up.
other good places add chili sauce, or chili sesame oil to it and its the bomb, one of the best i had was in china at the north korean restraunts they have up in the china, they were known for the dish up in the north.
but u can get it at a good amount of places in any place where theres a korean community. but its not at eveyr pub/restaurant, its not THAT common, but its not hard to find a place that does serve it.

its like back in the 90s when hardly anyone ate sushi because it was "raw". you guys just need to try the finer things in life, rather than eating mac n cheese, pizza, burgers, etc etc.
and the chances are of getting sick is very very slim.

Sushi is some of the greatest shit to ever exist. I understand why people would have reservations when it comes to steak tartare though. It took me a few times of seeing it in front of me before I gave it a go.

im pretty sure its the fact that mexican meat dishes, like korean meat dishes are cooked well done. so theres going to be a good amount of mexicans thatll eat mean well done even if they grew up in the US.

At some point I'll have to eat at one of the high end places. My typical Vegas diet consists of bagels/bread, Vodka, Beer, Red Bull, and Gatorade with cheap sandwiches thrown in.

The best way to eat a steak is Pittsburg style...burnt on the outside, medium rare on the inside.
Only ask for that at a legit place or else they will completely fuck it up (it's easy to do).
