LOL.  Listen bruh, I'll give you a pass because you're new to the game.  TI might appear to be a badass in comparison to his contemporaries, but he wouldn't have meant anything in the game prior to it's complete whoring.  He's corny as fuck.  He's got nice beats, but his contrived lyrics and subject matter have been played out for several years.  He brings NOTHING new to the game, he's not innovative.  He's generic.  He's boring.

u would not be saying that if u listen 2 T.I. in like 2001-2003..he's now turned mainstream, but that shit happens

this is a verse from a "whore" rapper, corny, generic, and boring??

i'm either running for my life or I'm just waiting to die
I'm the supplier of the fire if you're chasing a high
It's never, when or why, it's the way that he die
Did he stand like a man till the day that he die
Or was he reaching for guns or trying to run
Or was he outside on the lawn in front of his son
And if ya, running your mouth you can die in the slum
Cuz in the, south where I'm from they dying for crumbs
You can die for your Patna's or die for ya moms
Or you could die cuz your nigga just heard the alarm, just (stealing)
Or die in a plane they say it's a bomb
When they run it into a tower, they just say it's Saddam
Screaming Allah the moment that it's hitting the building
With total disregard for all men women and children
See niggaz get killed when, people mix they money with feelings
I'm filling my money up in the wall some in the ceiling
I'm just one of the millions of niggaz who ?
It's a war going on and they killing for nothing
We were in denial all awhile they where flicking the buttons
I'd rather be dying for something instead of living for nothing
End of discussion

I been a menace to society (since when?)
Since Menace II Society
Still refuse to become a legitimate citizen quietly
Feel like my label hiding me
But here I am anyway
I might be back to slanging grams any day
And if this record flop, where I'll be
Back with a - bomb of hard with C-Rod and the squad
This whole industry's a facade, man this aint real life
Half these rappers don't know what sacrifice feel like
Man these niggaz is all hype
Not even rapping on real mics
They just get high and say whatever the fuck they feel like
They make me feel like bustin these niggaz one at a time
And I'm still out bustin these niggaz
Hoe pick a rhyme

ay i been buckin for my title since fo pac had died
and when big was alive
i wasn't discovered, i was prophesied (woah)
that's why we see before ya eyes
of a normal size
thought ?? was catchy
just see it, feel it
know it's fire
u can come 2 the south
see any more young n*ggas out the gett-o this fly?
i'm the best in my occupation
cause my expectations is so high
no lie
better cross ya tears & daught ya eyes
add ? and then put P at the end
put it in, it sho gon ride
that's right this here, westside lets ride
bankhead been my home
and i ain't ask nobody to get me shit, i rather get my own
just let it be known
that im gon snap on all the shit i'm on
im the king of the south
and i came ta claim my crown and get my throne
and u can't stop it, so do not get on this microphone
n*gga im the hottest thang poppin at least til christ come home

come on man...

jrome, another verse i meant to post (my personal fav T.i 1 of all time, but those others are dope 2):

Open my eyes, see the sunrise
Talkin about memories of G's got my tongue tied
Pour out some Henn for my friend, why the good die?
But til the end, I'm in the wind where the slugs fly
Pray for my sins, I hope I find Heaven close to me
Try to be Godly but these haters provokin me
Pull my shotty want them dead is what my heart say
My hard head make me learn shit the hard way
Dodging the fedz ain't the easy way to live cat
But n*gga do it everyday to make a mill stack
Your phone tapped, under surveillance, secretly indicted
Being watched daily, livin shady just to drive a Merdedes
And fucking ladies, who making babies used against you
Your enemy be the main nigga you be a friend to
How can begin to explain the pain
Can you stand the rain?
It used to be a simple thing, but the game done changed
Now slanging caine is a lifestyle
Risking your freedom just to ball for a short while
Gettin buckwild on the streets of the Westside
Down in Atlanta, where we ride some of the best died
From cocking hammers of these Tec-9s and .45s
Excuse my grammar; but it's fucked up how time fly
It seem like yesterday we play until our days was nights
And yesterday, I just put flowers at his gravesite and that ain't right

Who are my favorite "rappers"?  If you called them any of those things and substantiated it, I wouldn't have a problem.  Rappers success and acceptance doesn't make me feel better about myself.

TI is a mediocre talent.  Like I said, he may shine compared to his contemporaries, but to most people that been payin attention to Hip Hop as long as I have aren't impressed.  I'm not saying that he doesn't have some skill, I'm just saying that his success in the mainstream today doesn't annoint him as talented.  It really just shows how diluted the current talent pool is.

TI 01-03 may be better than TI 07, but the difference isn't that great.  Rubberband Man was cool, but that was it.  It's no different than his shit today - nice beat, overly catchy popped out hook, generic lyrics.  It's just as boring to me now as it was then.  His singles are trite and give me no reason to want to buy his albums.

Lunatic, +1 for posting those lyrics. "No More Talk" is actually the song that made me started liking him. That and "Be Easy" are hella slept on.

And yesterday, I just put flowers at his gravesite and that ain't right

o shit now jrome's gotta come back wit some fyiaaaa lol
actually no he doesn't need 2 come back because i didn't call any of his fav artists "rap whores" or "corny" or "generic & boring"...there is NO possible hating on ANY of the verses i just posted, ESPECIALLY this one...no offence 2 jrome, he a cool dude & i got mad respect 4 em, but ppl listen 2 an artist and label them things without knowing the full truth about them...peep T.I.'s 01-03 shit, and half of it dope as this

His singles are trite and give me no reason to want to buy his albums.

i wasn't saying anything about ur fav rappers...no he's far from a mediocre talent, and the lyrics i posted prove that

funny i am saying the time BEFORE his success & popularity came he was amazing, so u can write off the "success in the mainstream doesn't anoint him talent, because i never said that :-\

u may not be impressed, but i know many that are..i'm not tryna call him the greatest ever or anything like that, but 2 call him "wack" (when i've clearly shown concrete evidence with great lyrics like that) is just as far from the truth as calling him the GOAT

the difference is pretty great...if not, it would only be because he would be coming "tight" im 07 for u 2 say that, because he was fantastic in 01-03

Rubber Band Man was actually 1 of the worse songs off that album (which is certified southern classic in most ppl's books)..that song is actually a bad example for that album

put up rubber band man vs. no more talk, be easy, i can't quit, doin my job, long live da game, ti vs tip, i still luv u & you or anyone for that fact will lose the argument

singes are meant to wanna attract an audience, and most rappers that drop singles drop club songs/love songs or something catchy like rubber band man..but that album is filled with great, creative, deep-thought songs that i posted above

Lunatic, +1 for posting those lyrics. "No More Talk" is actually the song that made me started liking him. That and "Be Easy" are hella slept on.
+1 right back

2 great songs...classic album 8)

im confused, i heard 10 is the realistic MAX they can hit him with :-\  now he's facing AT LEAST 10 if convicted??

Well, 1st off he tried to purchase assault weapons which are completely illegal even to legitimate gun owners, dealers and military. On top of that the assault weapons he tried to purchase were silenced assault weapons which is probably the worst possible federal firearms felony class offense on the books. Then the they find the guy had a fucking assortment of assault weapons in his possession which isn't like having a little Glock with the serial number scratched out, that's fucking bad.

With all those guns I wouldn't be surprised if the Federal Attorney tries to convict T.I. as an illegal ARMS DEALER. To which he would probably get like 25 to life. And in Federal court?.... Yeah,  basically he's completely fucked.

I have always liked TI's music. I think his personal swagger and the way he carries himself surpasses his lyrical skill. But ya got to give the man credit, he said he was the King of the South and to the majority he is. Other than Flip, no one really questioned it. But IMO personally he MIGHT make my top 10 of favorite mcs in the south.

Assault weapons of the semi-automatic-only type (which constituted most of the guns you see in the picture) are legal.  Machine guns (fully automatic) are not unless they're registered with the BATF.

I mentioned this before, but people weren't listening to me.  It's 10 years for EACH COUNT of violating the National Firearms Act.  He did it five times by purchasing three machine guns and two silencers.  So theoretically, 50 years is possible.  That's why it didn't make sense to me when I heard this "up to 10 years" shit.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep recently got sentenced to 3 and a half years for getting busted wit one pistol....lol T.I. is offically fucked, dude got caught wit an arsenal....it would be some amazing shit if his lawyer gets him off, but i bet 10 years is the least dude will get, probally get out in like 7 or 6 maybe... either way i dont think will hear from him in awhile, in the mean time for some extra cash and since the songs will be dated by the time he gets out to record new shit, they should release an album by him with the leftovers from T.I. vs T.I.P. i heard he had some tracks with big name artists like akon, weezy, eminem, andre 3000 and probally more that he didnt put on the album.

Look at how many of these clowns the last 5 years have claimed "king".  It's fuckin retarded and means jack shit today.  All these cats come in and think that just cuz they say that the shit is true.  When people hear that shit enough, eventually they believe it and that's the case here.

TI is nowhere near the best in the south.  Talk to me in 15 years or so.  If he's still regarded as the greatest we'll talk.  Until then, he's nothin but a fad.

And since we're posting lyrics and throwin around the word "Classic", check this shit:

Definition of Classic:

Is y’all ready for Twenty-0-7, it’s now another drought
Everyone’s a killer, wow we buggin out
Since 86 showin the crowd what I’m about
And they still want to know when the album comin’ out
Ask the teenagers, O’Gs and Ask the kids
What they definition of Classic is
Timeless, cause age don’t count in the booth
And your flow stays submerged in the fountain of youth

Perseverance, see the fake hustler rapper to them it hurts to hear this
O you went platinum – yeah that’s nice, now let me see you do the same thing twice
Three times, 4 times, then a couple of more times, please your amateur night is show time
It’s one life to live so live it the best you can, the world could use one less man

How many y’all got criminal minded you you you y’all don’t be blinded
Me I got no jewels on my neck, why – I don’t need ‘em I got your respect
KRS 1 20 years I rock I do it for JMJ and Scott LaRock – this hip hop
And we’s a nation, don’t you want to hear more KRS on your radio station?
Instead of broadcasting how we smokin’ trees, on the radio we need to hear more local MC’s
Where you at? tell me where you at? This is the difference between MC’ing and rap
Rappers spit rhymes that are mostly illegal, MC’s spit rhymes to uplift they people
Peace, love, unity, and Havin’ fun, these are the lyrics of KRS One

LOL at anyone trying to teach Jrome about something in any way related to hip hop. I dont think i have ver been in a discussion with the man, but he is clearly the most knowledgable guy on this site when it comes to rap. I would just say "Ok, Jrome thats your opinion. I disagree" and leave it at that, because you wont prove him wrong.

I was just reading some of the other topics posted here about TI. Can anyone help me answer these questions:

A. Why would TI go buy illegal arms himself and not send one of his many dick ryders in his crew to buy them for him?
B. How the fuck do you buy guns from a under cover agent? Wouldn't you at least know a your ''connections'' and if they are ok people to do business with?
C. Why does he have guns in his house? Who is he going to war with on the streets and why does he need protection and who from?
D. Do you really think he is stupid enough to sacrifice his career for some real jail time?
E. Could this all be a big set up for him to pay a big fine but he will make that all up when he drops his new album with high album sales?
F. Or is this actually real?

I just gotta say that T.I. is gangsta for gettin all these guns eventhough it seems pretty stupid to get caught for something like this and he doesn't really need that whole arsenal of different guns & machine-guns etc but maybe he has a fetish for guns, who knows.. FREE T.I.! I hope he gets less than 10 years for this.

Mediatakeout's report...

Quote
October 18, 2007.   MediaTakeOut.com has gotten wind that the authorities may have offered rapper TI a plea deal. And under the terms of the deal, in exchange for leniency, the authorities want information on another Atlanta rapper.

According to a person close to TI, who spoke exclusively to MediaTakeOut.com, federal agents made TI the offer shortly after his arrest. The insider explained, "[Federal agents] are looking for information on [a particular Atlanta rapper] and they want TI to tell them what he knows. I'm not sure what kind of deal they're offering, but it's better than what he's facing."

While it's not clear whether TI is even considering the offer, the insider doesn't think that it's likely. Explains the insider, "TI is no snitch - never has [been], and never will. His team [of lawyers] will beat the case the right way."

Developing...

Wonder if thats true?

yes he's stupid as fuck for this but SMH at those happy about this simply because they don't bump his music..i don't care if you're fuckin soulja boy, i personally hate to see someone throw there life away for dumb shit, and get so much time for soothing unless it's like murder or rape
'

And a double SMH for sticking up for his dumb ass because he makes club bangers that you like.  TI being platinum doesn't make it cool for him to buy automatic weapons w/ silencers.   It doesn't warrent propagating "free TI" like he has been unfairly imprisoned.  What is your message here?  Is TI a political prisoner imprisoned for his beliefs?  Is he carrying the cross for a group of people that are unfairly imprisoned?  Is he important like Muhammed Ali or Jim Brown?  On that level or what?

Motherfuckers are so proud to be ignorant.  They just spout shit off without even thinking.  Shit is disgusting.
i said he's stupid as fuck

i'm not saying he's guilty, i'm not saying he's innocent..i think there's a lot more to this story than we know at this point..i think he gonna get off on a lot on of the charges, if not all..i believe he's innocent of the guns in his car & house, so that's why i'm saying free T.I...and fuck the snitch, that shit was plain wrong, another reason i'm yelling free T.I

it goes both ways...pretty sure u said it's a blessing because u don't like the music he makes, so you're in the same boat as me

he may not be someone as important as them people, but i'm sure he has touched a lot of ppl..i know i have been motivated by his music and words a whole lot, and i know damn well i ain't the only one...the story as we know it don't make no sense for somebody like T.i who's stayed outta trouble for a good while now

motherfuckers are so proud and hoping he goes in for this because they don't like his music...that's ignorant & disgusting also

No, you are saying he's innocent by saying "Free TI".  If you don't believe one way or another you wouldn't have that shit posted up.  If he is unjustly convicted, then sure, fly that flag.  But at this stage it just makes you look like a groupie.

TI resorts to this hustler image, he milks it for all he is worth.  He glorifies it and exploits it.  Well guess what, if you're making millions of dollars off of that image, talkin about killin and slangin drugs, you can't be surprised when you catch a fuckin case.  It goes with the territory.

Lunatic, you look like a MAJOR groupie, are you fuckin kidding me?

you won't even answer Jrome's question

you think he didn't do "all" of what the media says.... but yet you won't go with saying he's innocent

which way is it?  like I stated the other day, you're logic is very distorted

you must be like 13 years old or something right?  I mean you're not even making sense

like Jrome says, holding a flag with "Free TI" is blatantly advertising some sort of unfair imprisonment

as if TI stood up for something he believed in and got jailed or something...

I don't think you understand... if he had just one gun with a silencer, makes no difference

he is a convicted felon and knows the consequences....

you can wish all you want that this didn't happen because this means less music for you, that's fine

but to say he should be free and receive special treatment because you like his music is pure ignorance

smarten up and go about this like an intelligent person, you seriously look as retarded as TI does with this ridiculous rally-type groupie attitude

According to top hip-hop blogger Sandra Rose, T.I.'s lawyers will reportedly seek an order similar to the pre-sentence order that suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Last month Vick was ordered by a federal judge to remain on house arrest every night while awaiting sentencing on a dog fighting charge.

As previously reported by SOHH, T.I. (born Clifford Harris, Jr.) was arrested by federal authorities after allegedly attempting to buy three machine guns and two silencers. With T.I. being a convicted felon, he is not allowed to legally own any firearms. The rapper was originally denied bond at a brief hearing on Monday (October 15) but will appear in court tomorrow to decide whether there was probable cause for his arrest and if he will qualify for bond before his trial.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Steve Sadow, one of T.I.'s lawyers, said he requested that the rapper's bond hearing be pushed back until Friday to give the defense additional time to prepare. But sources say Sadow and Dwight Thomas, another member of the rapper's legal team, are preparing to ask U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman to place T.I. on house arrest under electronic surveillance or require him to wear an ankle monitoring device as a condition of his bond.

"This would ensure the public's safety as well as allow [T.I.] to continue to support his family until his trial comes up," said a source familiar with the case. But others are questioning if the strategy will pan out in the rapper's favor.

"I understand [T.I.] violated his probation with a previous gun charge, not to mention the felony conviction on drug charges in CobbCounty," said a prominent Atlanta attorney, who asked to remain anonymous. "The judge will also take into consideration the company that the young man keeps," said the attorney, seemingly referring to the two rappers signed to T.I.'s label who were named in the federal affidavit for allegedly providing T.I. with guns. "All of those factors will weigh heavily against him when he goes before the judge."

T.I.'s bond hearing: Scene from the court house

The scene at the Richard B. Russell Federal building downtown looks more like a concert. Of course more females than males pack the halls outside the courtroom on the 19th floor (the hearing was moved from the 18th floor to accommodate the crowd). Many of the industry's heavy hitters are in the courtroom to support T.I. including Warner Music Group Chairman Lyor Cohen, Michael Mauldin of Mauldin Brand, T.I.'s mom (wearing her Louis Vutton) Grand Hustle general manager Hannah Kang and CEO Jason Geter, Exec. VP of Warner Music Kevin Liles is also in the courtroom as is T.I.'s hard-working publicist Sydney Margetson.

There are many rappers in the courtroom in support of T.I. including Young Jeezy (more on that later). Noticeably absent is T.I.'s pregnant girlfriend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle (who may just be running late or caught downstairs in the long line of visitors waiting to get their cell phones confiscated). Security is very tight at the courthouse as you can imagine. Other family members are seated in the courtroom for the hearing which is scheduled to begin at 10:30.

T.I. to plea not guilty, asks for release on $2.2M bond

By BILL RANKIN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Published on: 10/19/07

Lawyers for rapper T.I. asked a federal magistrate Friday to release him on a $2.2 million bond, along with separate bonds backed by his record company, record company executives and the equity of his two homes.

They also said T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, would agree to stay in his home with 24-hour-day monitoring.

Harris and his legal team made the proposal to U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman, who will decide whether Harris can stay out of jail while awaiting trial on weapons charges.

Baverman was expected to rule by midday.

Harris also was to be arraigned and enter a not guilty plea at the hearing, as well as find out which U.S. District Court judge is presiding over his case.

Harris was arrested Saturday on weapons charges in a sting at a Midtown parking lot.

Because of an overflow crowd that came to attend Harris's first-appearance hearing on Monday, Baverman held the bond hearing in a larger courtroom at the Richard B. Russell Federal Building and Courthouse.

On Wednesday, a federal grand jury indicted Harris on charges of illegally possessing unregistered machine guns and silencers; unlawfully possessing machine guns; and of being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.

Federal prosecutors are moving to have Harris held without bond until his trial, which could be several months away. To obtain a bond, Harris's lawyers must convince Baverman there is a reasonable assurance that, based on the conditions of his pre-trial release, Harris will not be a risk of fleeing and will not be a danger to the community or to any particular person.

If convicted, Harris faces almost certain prison time.

The bond proposal from Harris's lawyers included a $2.2 million bond with a cash desposit of $500,000; a $1 million signature bond signed by Atlantic Records; five $100,000 signature bonds signed by five Atlantic Records and Warner Music executives; two $100,000 surety bonds from different bonding companies; and the equity of the Harris homes, which lawyer Ed Garland said are worth $1.5 million.

Harris's lawyers also said he would stay in his home and be subject to electronic monitoring, as well as allow an independent monitor to also live in the home and search anyone coming or going. Monitoring expenses would be paid by Harris.

more confusion in the case:

T.I. currently faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.

10-45, while that says maximum of 10 years :-\

Rapper T.I. in jail at least another week
Judge will hold another bond hearing next Friday; rap artist has pleaded not guilty

Rapper T.I. will remain in jail on weapons charges for at least another week, after a federal judge on Friday denied any immediate release on bond.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman said he will hold another hearing next Friday to further consider conditions proposed by the rap star's lawyers that may prompt him to release their client pending trial.

"I haven't decided on releasing him yet," Baverman said, "I just haven't heard the conditions yet and I'm not satisfied."
Baverman also said that if he does grant bond, he wants to be comfortable with an entire "package" of conditions that assure that T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., will not flee or pose a danger to others.
The judge also told Harris's defense attorneys he does not have time to monitor Harris. "I'm not going to get involved in essentially being the warden for Mr. Harris," Baverman said.
Harris also was arraigned at the hearing, and he entered a plea of not guilty to the weapons charges.
Aftegr Harris entered his plea, assistant U.S. Attorney Francey Hakes disclosed that the case is part of "an ongoing investigation" and indicated more changes may be comin. Harris's trial would take less than a week, Hakes said, "as the indictment stands now."
Lawyers for Harris proposed that he be released on a $2.2 million bond, which included separate bonds backed by his record company, record company executives. Harris also agreed to post the equity of his two homes, which his lawyer, Ed Garland, estimated are worth about $1.5 million

Garland also said Harris would agree to stay in his home with 24-hour-a-day electronic and human monitoring.
But Baverman said he wants more information about who will be chosen as Harris's monitor, who would live inside Harris's home and how they would search visitors and alert authorities if Harris violated any conditions. The judge said he wants to consider a list of companies that do such monitoring and hear details about them.
Baverman also set these tentative conditions if he does grant bond: Harris must post a $2 million cash bond plus the equity in all properties he owns. He must be locked down in his house 24/7; have an electronic monitoring device; consent to any searches; be screened for unlawful drug use; remove any safes in the home; and be allowed to live with only his girlfriend and children.

Prosecutors oppose bond for Harris, although assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Alley told Baverman it is a "close call" as to whether the conditions were acceptable.

Alley recounted a litany of arrests, convictions and missed court dates by Harris from 1997 through the end of 2003. These include firearms and drug violations as well as Harris giving authorities false names at the time of his arrest.
Alley noted that during a search of Harris's home in 2003, local authorities and federal agents found a firearm, a silencer and a bulletproof vest in Harris's master bedroom. One of Harris's lawyers, Dwight Thomas, later noted that this case had been dismissed.

Also at Friday's hearing, Alley revealed that Harris had up to a half-pound of marijuana in his vehicle when arrested last Saturday. At this arrest, agents also found three handguns, at least one of them loaded, inside Harris's vehicle, Alley said.
"He told agents the marijuana was his and he had smoked marijuana that day to get ready for the BET Awards show," Alley said.
Baverman said he was distressed to learn that Harris told a pre-trial services officer in an interview a few days later that he had not smoked marijuana in more than a year.

Baverman said he was impressed with information provided by Harris's lawyers that showed the rapper has been "exceptionally generous and has reached out to the community, particularly the community of the underprivileged, with great generosity."
On the other hand, Baverman added, "on the day that is probably the most important of his professional career he shows up armed at a gun deal to buy machine guns and silencers. I'm really, really concerned about that sort of dichotomy."

Baverman called Harris "an exceptionally gifted and talented musician" and noted that many people in his position would not do as much for the community, including local students.
"He should be commended for that," Baverman said. "But I would be blind not to recogize some of the lyrics in some of the songs that stand in contrast to the message he gives to schoolchildren."
Baverman, a former defense attorney, found that the prosecutors had not met their burden of convincing him that no possible conditions could be place on Harris to assure he would not be a flight risk or danger to others. For this reason, the judge said, he is willing to consider the extraordinary conditions proposed by Harris's legal team.
But Baverman said he found Harris's past conduct "exceptionally troublesome" and he said he considered the strength of the government's case against Harris to be "significant."

sounds like Tip might have a shot...

I think its fairly obvious that hes just an avid gun collector, i reckon he'll get bout 20-30 cos they said the MAX sentence is 10 years per felony, and hasn't he gotten charged with like 3-4 felonies from this ??? Esp. wen u consider all of the hate about hip hop atm, the feds are waiting to make an example of som1 and unfortnately T.I was retarded enough to let this happen, its shame that hes gonna be locked up cos hes 1 of my fav artists atm (id simply rather turn on tv and see a T.I tune then all this bull shit 'Crank That' ringtone songs) The only hope T.I has is if theres a Suge Knight figure who can get him outta this, like suge did for Snoop and Pac (well kinda, suge just bought him outta jail, cos pac wasnt up for bail atm wen he was released ???) Guess we'll have to wait and c.....

Esp. wen u consider all of the hate about hip hop atm, the feds are waiting to make an example of som1 and unfortnately T.I was retarded enough to let this happen, its shame that hes gonna be locked up cos hes 1 of my fav artists atm (id simply rather turn on tv and see a T.I tune then all this bull shit 'Crank That' ringtone songs) The only hope T.I has is if theres a Suge Knight figure who can get him outta this, like suge did for Snoop and Pac (well kinda, suge just bought him outta jail, cos pac wasnt up for bail atm wen he was released ???) Guess we'll have to wait and c.....
i keep hearing that 10 is max sentence, so i'm not sure :-\

only once i heard 10-45 years, and everywhere else i heard 10 was the max

even if so, it's already lookin alright for him..bail seemed a long shot, and now looks like he'll get it next friday..the judge already said he was impressed with T.i's lawyers..i'll be shocked if gets more than 10, but will see...

T.I. doesn't have a mixtape out

some DJ just put it together

T.I. gave him some grand hustle material to be released in the form of a tape real soon, and then he got caught

the tape was to be called "respect the hustle"....the only change the DJ made (on his own) was to put Free T.I.P. in brackets at the end and he added a Intro

so this is the work of the DJ's...

I don't give a fuck who did it, it's all a ploy to capitalize on this situation.  His last album wasn't as successful as the industry thought (just like I said months ago because TI largely abandoned his core production crew in lieu of big name hype), and now they are into hype mode.  Music ain't good enough to sell, lets catch a fuckin case and catch some artificial sales from that.

Mainstream rap is FUCKING WACK.  Save yourself some time and respect the wisdom of your elders.  This shit is a joke.

i think you're failing to realize T.I. has NOTHING to do with this free T.I.P. mixtape besides he gave the DJ some material for this tape before he was caught, and none of the material has to do with "free t.i." besides the intro that the DJ made himself :-\  this is the work of DJ Scream & DJ MLK, so take ur beef up with them

it's THERE ploy 2 capitalize on it, no Tip's :-\  his album is doing just fine...it's already platinum, i think it's doin just fine...right now, it's a few hundred thou off what King did, but there's lots of time to go

and besides DJ toomp's absence, he didn't abandon his corre group of production

who prod. on this album??

mannie fresh (prod twice on King, once on urban legend)
lil c (who grand hustle has a good relationship, prod. much on young dro's album)
Khao (grand hustle in-house producer)
just blaze (prod twice on king)
tony galvin (prod on king)
keith mack (prod on king, grand hustle in-house prod.)

new comers:

wyclef
danja
the runners
eminem

u would call that "abandoning his core production group" :D :D

I wonder how many days after he gets bail (he will eventually get it), will he put out a new mixtape regarding the situation?
yea he'll get bail next friday it looks like

i'm guessing he has a recording studio in his house, so it shouldn't be to difficult

hopefully he does it...

there already is a "free T.I.P." mixtape, but i can't find a link for it :-X  fucked up, cause it good a good track listing as well

1 Free T.I.P Intro
2 T.I.P. Jeezy Kuntry - Do U Potna
3 Young Dro - Best Thang Smokin
4 Big Kuntry - My Muzick
5 Big Kuntry Ft Jr - The Bizness
6 Young Dro - I'm Sick'ud
7 T.I. - Cat Like That
8 Macboney - I'm Coming (March)
9 Yung L.A. Ft Big Kuntry - Aint I
10 Alfamega Ft B.I.G. Frank White - Stressed Fill Dayz

19 Big Kuntry Ft Yung L.A. - Going Ham
20 Young Dro - I Got Money
21 Jr - Lets Go

lol they got summin out already?
yup..that's it

ain't heard much of it though :-\

heard bout it from A.K (P$C member) and i saw that track listing on a site

if he does one when he gets out, it'll be much more publicized and much bigger i'm sure

i think as fucked up as it would be to see him leave the game for 10 years. if he tried to make a comeback, that would be VERY interesting
if 10 years is the MAX, i HIGHLY doubt he'll get 10 years..even if he does, he won't do 10 (but more like 6-8)

if he does 8 years (going by my logic, the most he'll do) be would be about 34-35 years old..that's still a decent age for a rapper..i think he would be just fine rapping wise (if he wanted to) but he wouldn't be a star like he is now..he'd be like a gold artist

i gotta believe, that if he doesnt get acquitted, then his career is pretty much over, regardless of how many years he does, which i think 10 is the MINIMUM hes going to get. but thats just speculation...either way, hes fucked.  royally fucked.  8 years is still a loooong time, shit, 2 weeks is a loong time with out your freedom.

Damn t.i. is so much important for warner ?

T.I.'s defense lawyer Ed Garland, who is attempting to free T.I. on $2.2 million dollar bond, which includes a cash deposit of $500,000 dollars.

In addition, Kevin Lyles, president of Warner Bros. Music Group and Lyor Cohen, president of Atlantic Records each offered up $100,000 of their own money.

T.I. also provided two $100,000 signature bonds from a bonding company and he also put up properties that he owned valued at $1.5 million dollars.

something for the Tip haters:

T.I.'s arrest on weapons charges last weekend came as a surprise to many in the hip-hop community, but according to Wyclef Jean, a song on his upcoming album that features the jailed superstar almost foreshadowed his troubles.

The track, "Slow Down," finds the two trading verses about their hardships in life, with the Atlanta rapper's lyrics hitting close to home.

"We were going back and forth," 'Clef told MTV News at New York club S.O.B.'s Thursday night, where he was honored for his efforts in aiding Haiti. "I remember some of his lyrics: 'I remember get money/ All we did was get money/ Until the Feds raided the trap/ And took the thing from it.'

"And for me, I believe in one sense he's a prophet," Wyclef continued. "He has that gift. When he speaks, whatever he speaks about, you can feel it. And beyond feeling it, he really lived it. And it's like, he's basically saying, 'Look what I become. And you kids inside of these rough communities, you can become that.' I grew to like him a lot. I got attached to him, and he's someone I would definitely ride for. I went back and listened to it and played it for a lot of homies. And they said the song reminded them of the 2Pac song 'Keep Ya Head Up,' but the 2008 version. Because the song is like, 'I could have been, but look what I become.' "

Like most of Tip's peers, 'Clef wished him well. The two collaborated on T.I.'s last album, T.I. vs. T.I.P., on the single "You Know What It Is." Tip even served as co-executive producer on 'Clef's Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant.

"We definitely clicked in the studio," Wyclef said. "I vouch for the kid in the sense that I think he was one of the smartest rising stars in not [just] the music industry, but the world. I watched him on 'Hip-Hop vs. America,' and I saw the way he was talking just like Malcolm X. The conversation started getting deeper and deeper. And I think he has influence. When he speaks, it moves a whole generation."

Wyclef's influence isn't too shabby either. Haitian ambassadors, both from the island and Stateside, appeared at S.O.B.'s, along with DJ Whoo Kid and Russell Simmons. The former Fugees frontman was awarded a diplomatic passport and a goodwill ambassadorship.

"I'mma get the diplomatic plates," 'Clef joked. "So you can't give me no more tickets."

damn man music is cool and i appreciate you like this rapper but his fate does not matter one bit he is just another rapper. I am guessing you live in America and I really hope you put the same kind of passion into caring and defending the constitution against the constant siege it is facing from the both sides of the political system. I know that's going to lead to a lot of eye rolling but music no matter how good is just music, it's not going to affect your life beyond your enjoyment of it.

Meanwhile, word is T.I. assumed all along that the bodyguard had a license to purchase the machine guns and silencers. Supposedly he never asked the bodyguard to purchase the weapons without registering them. The bodyguard, who is in protective custody, apparently didn't want the weapons registered in his name.

I love y'all haters showin' your insecurities....keep up the good work. it's funny because the bodyguard is the one who snitched and I haven't seen any of y'all call him a snitch yet but t.i. is a snitch according to y'all. y'all got the game fucked up and would probably love to get caught doin' somethin' illegal just so you could snitch on somebody.

I probably would snitch, but I don't really care. I'm not about the life T.I. claims to have. That's part of "cutting the deal". Cliff pleading to keep his "street" image by getting the reports to say he just flexed his legal muscle and won. But in reality, he got hit with federal charges and had to snitch his way out of 10-45 years.

Knowing how soft Cliff is, he probably snitched hard enough to get off with nothing, but asked if they could say he's still getting jail time to keep that image.

so if you spent millions of dollars on lawyers you would expect them to do their best to keep you out off jail ? i commend your honesty about what you would do if it was you but the key thing is: everyone ain't you some people live by a code and just because you would tell you can't apply the same to everyone else.

WTF ARE U TALKIN ABOUT? SNITCHING IS A MATTER OF INTEGRITY, NOTHIN ELSE....BEIN "BOUT THAT LIFE" IS JUST ANOTHER WAY 2 SAY UR A REAL MUFUCKA, BEIBS. IT DERIVED FROM SNITCHING, BUT THE PHRASE MEANS MORE THAN THAT. WE ALL KNOW U AINT BOUT THAT LIFE, BUT EVEN I'M SURPRISED THAT U DONT REALIZE THAT OPENLY ADMITTING TO BEIN A SNITCH MEANS UR A FUCKIN FLAMER. UR THE TYPA SQUARE PEEPS WOULD WANNA STAY FAR AWAY FROM. BEST BELIEVE, I DO ILLEGAL BUSINESS, AND UR PRETTY MUCH ADMITTING UR THE TYPA' FAG THAT WOULD NEED TO BE KEPT AS FAR AWAY FROM MY CIRCLE AS POSSIBLE, CUZ U'D DROP A DIME IN A HEARTBEAT IF UR BACK WAS AGAINST THE WALL.....  UR THE REASON EVERY1 HATES 90S BABIES- I'D LOVE TO KICK UR TEETH IN.
