Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers
Round 2, Game 1.
Sunday May 4th, 2008.
12:00 PM (Pacific) on ABC.
I really don't see how Utah stands a chance. They have individual talent, but 0 defense. They're more prepared for playoff basketball than the Nuggets, but still not ready for a team like the Lakers. I can see Utah getting 1 win in, MAX. San Antonio is next. 8)
-
Purple and Gold .. that's our year , period 8)
-
Lakers in 5.
-
Let's go Lakers, good they didn't have to play against Suns after years, and I think Spurs won't advance, that is just my opinion
-
should be an intruiging series no doubt. i think the series will revolve around deron williams, as he goes so do the jazz. i think the lakers have got the perfect antidote for him tho in derek fisher.
-
Lakers in 5.

Lakers in 5.

Lakers in 6
-
Can Gasol, Defend, Rebound & Show some toughness?...Lakers in 6
-
lakers in 5
-
LA in 5 or 6, Deron is the man but Utah isn't ready for LA
-
Lakers will really show me somethin if they take this series in 4 or 5..i imagine 6 man..utah is very good, lakers will really impress me if they close this out in 5...will see i guess
-
LA in 5 or 6
-
LA in 5 or 6
-
coming into the playoffs I was pretty high on the Jazz. They were actually the scariest team in the West to me. But they didnt impress me much in that first round. I originally had picked them to beat LA in round 2, but I think ima go with the Lakers in this one. Lakers in 6.

Why do people keep sayin that?
-
Shots are fallin. The D is lookin good. We just gotta start rebounding better.
-
Lakers up by 13 at the halftime.
We're destroying the Jazz.
8)
-
Los Angeles lookin good
-
what was up with that no-call at the end of the 3rd?
it's like the refs just start heading out when the ball goes in the air
is there anything else to look at other than the lob and the catch and the attempt to shoot? :grumpy:
-
rebounding, rebounding, rebounding.... we really need to work on that.
-
Fuck Kyle Korver and Ashton Kutcher.
-
^ jazz are making a game of it... this is good in a sense... can't have everything easy.
-
that's what's up.... it got a little close there, but Utah is a good team. However.... we take game 1. :)
Jerry Sloan is flying his team back to Utah instead of keeping them out here. He doesn't want his players fucking around on Sunset Blvd...lol. Smart guy...
-
If the Lakers work on their rebounding, we could be looking at another sweep. 8)
-
Lucky L. We better straighten up on Wednesday or the Jazz will make us pay.
-
coming into the playoffs I was pretty high on the Jazz. They were actually the scariest team in the West to me.
Why do people keep sayin that?
because they have been a very good team all year, and completely flew under the radar. the type of team that could surprise somebody.
-
Utah is a good team... I liked their resiliency being down 19 earlier today... this is going to be a good series. I don't see them beating us this series, but you can't take them lightly also.
-
Lakers dominated the game in the first 2 quarters and a half by going +19 too. Then they relaxed. It happens. I mean Utah had nothing to loose, so it was easier for them to play better and to try to make a comeback. If we can keep our concentration high for the whole game we'll win Game-2 too, easly.
Game-3 will be the key one.
-
sweep
-
no way lakers sweep utah
-
Lamar, Pau, Vlad....Get some Defensive Rebounds, please!
The Lakers Defense has been great this post-season....held the jazz to 38% Shooting :o....Fish had 6 steals...Ronnie had 4 blocks...
And a nother great game by the MVP 8)
-
Was at the game today...Lakers with another impressive performance. Relaxed a bit in the second half, but Utah is no competition for the Lake Show. From my eyes to your screen. 8)

Would have dope if they announced KB24 with the MVP yesterday

^I love black fees more than the next guy, but this one just ain't cuttin it for me...I mean, no doubt, I'd beat them cheeks, but look at the beginning of cellulite stages developing on her thighs. and that face is decent, at best. Beatable, but not noteworthy, IMO.
-
Game Day.. 8) Round II, Part II.
Let's see what Happens today.
Go Lakers.

^Damn, I was confused by what you were sayin' at 1st but I realized I changed my sig before I saw this post. 8)

It seems like forever since the first game. I'm feel deprived. I gotta get home early and get a nice ass groove going on the couch before the game starts.

when you say Jacob....do you mean THE Jake? BigJakeDoggyDogg?! lol. I didnt think you guys really got along. Maybe because youre a blind, Kobe nutriding Laker fan....and he's only part time. But oh well ;D
-
^Yea...Jake is cool. I don't take anything on this board personal.
-
Odom was a rebounding beast... Sasha and Fisher hit them shots... and the MVP showed Utah that he is the MVP.
2 - 0 8)
-
Fisher with 22 :o
-
^not surprsing at all...Fish has a high scoring game every year in the playoffs. He had two consecutive 20+ point games in last years playoffs for Utah.
-
All the Lakers need is ONE in Utah. (Tho the Sweep would be nice!)
to put the Jazz in a very bad place. But never count out D. Williams dude is :o
Sloan needs to put a boot to Boozer, this dude must be battling some injuries he hasn't told anyone.
his performance towards the end of the year and thru the post season has not been Boozer like.
-
fisher was a fag for being on the utah fags last year but now hes cool again lakers are sweeping
-
The Lakers have the best offensive game I've seen for a LONG time ... Vlad and Pau lack of toughness , especially on the boards; are getting on my nerves though ...
-
Fisher with 22 :o
Fisher, RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES ! 8)
-

say the guy who show more hate towards others teams/players than props for his teams .. who the fuck are you anyways
-
^it's an alias...probably 7even, Turf Hitta, or Jromo. Has to be one of those dudes. Just ignore him.
-
i said 6 games but i think it's going to be a sweep....lakers are just dominating right now
i would still like for us to improve our rebounding
-
Can't wait for the game tomorrow. It's gonna be intense, especially since it's gonna be in Utah this time. 8)
-
wow this is the lamar odom flop fest you guys seeing this?? utah 90-83 4th quarter
-
fuck
-
FUCKING LUKE WALTON. he hits that huge 3 and i was thinking "wow, nice clutch 3, good turn of events from what we usually expect from the man" and then he throws the weakest fuckin pass of his life right after. bitch ass turn-over. whether or not fish got fouled is debatable, but walton dropped the ball big-time, literally.
it was a turn-over frenzy tonight, phil needs to talk to team about ball control.
-
Lakers 2 - Jazz 1 :-\
-
Kobe steps on an ankle driving to the hoop and its a foul? Are you shitting me.
That was the worst call I have seen this year.
as i called, the Jazz won game 3.
-
We had a chance to steal this game at our worst...and at their best. I have a good feeling about Game 4 in their house.
-

on the real, i wouldnt really it was our WORST. our bench was unproductive and we threw turnovers like crazy, but i dont think we played that horrible. the jazz were just too much for us today, and hit some unbelievable shots at the end of the game.
-
naw... we played like shit. from our shots to our defense.... and still had a chance to take the game at the end.
-
Odom shot 100% from the field. Too bad he only took 3 fuckin shots in 43 minutes. And Farmar sucked tonight! Only reason I won't shiet on Gasol is cuz I don't want any Kwame flashbacks.
-
i didnt watch the game so excuse me if im talking out my ass, but no surprise imo...utah is near perfect at home
-
We can handle Utah, this was just a slip up, it was them at their best and us at our worst cause only dude really playing was kobe feat fisher, it was ridiculous.
-
ok i really hate to sound pessimistic, but to people saying 'oh dont worry, they only won cuz they were at their best,' yall gotta understand that this is playoffs, teams are SUPPOSED to be playing at their best and jazz will do the exact same thing at every single home game.
if we play better for game 4 (which we should, we're fuckin sad if we dont), then we could knock it out in 5 games, but this aint gonna be no walk in the park.
-

yea, Lakers will win the series...can't win every game in the playoffs.

who in the hell said, "Oh don't worry, they only won cuz they were at their best?"
read things right... I said that they were at their best AND we were at our worst... if you are going to paraphrase people, then do it correctly.
If you read what you just wrote, you are saying the exact same thing that I was saying. 1, that Utah played at their best.... and 2, that we should play better the next game and if we do, we will win....

calm down. doggystylin said "we can handle them, this was just a slip-up" which is basically the same damn thing. maybe i should've went back and just quoted him to specify, but dont assume the statement applies to u and get defensive about it.
u shouldnt be talking about anyones paraphrasing. i agreed with u by saying we still have a good chance at winning game 4, but then i said it aint gonna be a walk in the park. not to mention i just disagreed on the playing at our worst part. just because they played incredible today and defended us well for once by shutting our scorers down and getting key steals doesnt mean we were at our worst. that means they outplayed us on both ends of the floor. jazz outhustles just about every team on the planet on their home court.
-
lol @ anyone that thinks anyone on utah besides Williams will play consistently as well as they did for game 3.
-
To Halu
1) yes.... you should have went back and quoted him.
2) I didn't paraphrase you... I was responding to what I thought was your paraphrasing of me.
3) we beat ourselves.... watch the game again.
Thank you... good night.
-
i dont need to watch the game again. we had stupid plays and didnt guard the ball as well as we should have, but the biggest reason we lost was because they were shutting us down on the defensive end. plain and simple.
this is stupid, im pretty sure ull agree its not even worth an argument. bottomline is their intensity level is a billion times higher at home and even if we do stop throwing retarded turnovers, it still aint gonna be a walk in the park.
-
When is Phil going to stop playing Farmar?....More Sasha..less Farmar...
We had one of our worst Games of the Season and the Jazz only won by 5 points....I'm not worried.
-

yes... those missed shots open shots, missed easy layups and ball turn-overs through the hands were from some really tough defense...lol.
the only thing the Jazz did better was hitting better shots this time around... their intensity was higher, but nobody is questioning that. despite all of that, if we made our easy shots, we win this game...
-
Kobe steps on an ankle driving to the hoop and its a foul? Are you shitting me.
That was the worst call I have seen this year.
as i called, the Jazz won game 3.
It's called a tripping foul...
I'll take this loss, it's all good...The Jazz played their best and they still looked very beatable tonight, if we woulda' brought our A-game.
-
I think Kobe is going to be more agressive in the early going in Game 4.. Pau needs to adjust on his TOs .. when a guard comes to help , keep the ball high in your hands , if not you get stripped ... Pau and Lamar need to make Boozer play some D so he won't save all his energy on offense as in Game 3... I wouldn't mind Phil to play Turiaf more minutes, he always does the best job on Boozer on 1 on 1.. Jordan is really dissapointing in the playoffs .. not only his shot is off but he's making very poor decisions when it comes to running the O .. get burned by Williams every time ...
-
by the way Nik, why did the Jazz play 92 games in the regular season ;D
-
well booze fiknally had his break out game and gasol was god damm awful. atleast this utah win makes the series slightly more interesting. i was also expecting a poor game from jordan and sasha.
-
utah was bound to win this game, they had been dominating the boards in L.A.
-
utah was bound to win this game, they had been dominating the boards in L.A.
True ^^^
Together with Gasol & Odom having subpar games (for them)
Tips for tommorow: take it to the hole early, get Booze in foul trouble and don't let Okur shoot the three. (That's all he can do)
live with AK47's & Korvers jumpshot's.
Put Sasha or Kobe on Williams instead of Farmar when Fish in not in the game.
Rebound, Rebound, Rebound "As Stu would say"
-
Smh @ Turiaf being ejected
-
is anybody else WATCHING this game?
sure the Lakers are awful at shooting and free throws
but what the fuck is up with these bullshit foul calls?
this the worst NBA game I've seen so far this year
-
by the way, that guy Price is a pussy
-
Nice pass from Luke to Kobe for the buzzer beater. After all the poor play by the Lakers the game is tied. Amazing.
-
I missed the 2nd quarter but its good to see we came back.
Farmar = D.Will's bitch.
-
Turiaf got tossed?! WTF for?
-
the Lakers look like shit
-
Are you fuckin' kidding me?
-
I want to kick Jordan Farmar in the head
-
Clutch 3 pointer by Odom, but why the hell does Fisher drive to the basket? Even for a pg he has a shitty interior game.
-
Lamar Odom is amazing
-
I'm too fucken old for this...
Lakers need to win this one now!
The difference between 3-1 & 2-2 is HUGE.
-
Danmmit!!
Game. Utah
-
ugh so close!
-
Thanks for this loss to an injured Kobe who decided to play 1 on 5 in the OT while Fisher and Odom were on fire ... and Farmar is the 2nd coming of Smush Parker :-X
-
Let's just hope Kobe will be healthy for Wednesday, wtf I can't believe the series is tied, no way this should have happened. Pau Gasol has been whining way too much. Next two games are must wins, we do not want a Game 7 with Utah.
-
I can't be mad at the guys... they came back from 12 with minutes to go in the face of a loud crowd, bad ref calls and injury. The only one I have to call out is Farmar and Radmonivich. I do wish that Kobe would have passed the ball more in OT instead of trying to win it. His back was too much to bear and he should have deferred.
Back to L.A. .... where the Jazz will be a different team.
-
Farmar, Radmanovic, Gasol aka Kwame Brown = WACK
-

sadly i must agree.
-
Gasol aka Kwame Brown
thats a bit of a stretch...
-
Kobe hasnt done shit but cry about a lil ass "injury".
-
Kobe hasnt done shit but cry about a lil ass "injury".
dude...thats back pain... and he's still playing with those bad fingers that normally require surgery. most people on this planet wouldn't even attempt to play through that.
-
You've still got to put the blame on Kobe. Despite being injured he still decided to shoot contested threes even though was ice cold. He should of tried to facilitate and look for the open teammates, but he didn't do that in the 4th quarter.
-
fuck
-
dope, jazz make it a bit more entertaining 8) atleast 2 more games woohoo
-
So much for Kobe being mature now... *lol*
-

nobody is saying that... I agree he should have passed on those shots. but that was in response to the "crying about a lil ass injury" post.
-
i told y'all i would of been extremely surprised if lal won this series in 4 or 5...i said 6 is what i expected, will see what happens
utah doesnt get enough credit..they're a solid team
-
Kobe really did fuck his team by continually trying to drive and bust 3's eventhough he was injured. He was fuckin chucking airballs and shit. And his drives to the hoop looked like they were in slow motion. Odom and Fisher were feeling the boom, the ball should have been in their hands. It was a freaking miracle that game went to OT, and if Kobe would have deferred the Lakers could have stole one in Utah.
A real MVP would have deferred to the hot hands, especially if he was physically incapable. Instead, he had to be the one to knock down the shots in the clutch and cost them the game. MVP! MVP!
-

solid at home... different team on the road. I was thinking that we would take at least one from this trip, but we almost did. anyway, if the SA/NO game today keeps going the way it is, all Western games will be 2-2 today. I'm glad we won't be playing until Wednesday though. Kobe needs to heal and rest.

yea i know, but i still thought they'd at least force 6..lal almost did, 2 close games..yup, these 2 west series should be interesting!

this the worst NBA game I've seen so far this year
I agree...this game was terribly officiated in Utah's favor. And what's worse is that if we woulda made our free throws, we woulda easily won. :-X
-
So much for Kobe being mature now... *lol*
I bet you anything you didn't even watch the game. if it weren't for Kobe, we wouldn't have even been in the position to go into overtime...I know you're still waiting on that off game by him, but keep waiting.. he played through a back injury and still oudid anything LeBron has done in the 2nd round thus far.
-

LMAO...These Kobe haters are just too much. Kobe was off in OT, but it's Phil who draws up the plays, not him, smart guy. He was obviously told to take over in OT, and they were running ISOs for him.. his shot just wasn't falling in. Still, without Kobe, we wouldn't have been anywhere in that game. LOL@tryna make a mockery out of the greatest player on the planet because he was playing through a back injury. Tony parker is outplaying your MVP. :D
-
Chris Paul the MVP is leading his team to a blow out victory today!! It's 97-74 right now!!
Oh wait... thats The Spurs who are kicking ass.
Nevermind.....
-
Gasol aka Kwame Brown
thats a bit of a stretch...
past two games he's been fumbling with the stone hands

LMAO (not really, but since you like to start off every response with those same 4 letters, I thought I'd play along) These Kobe Cock Lovers are just too much.
Phil even said that Kobe took too many shots in the press conference after the game. And if Kobe's back was bothering him so bad, and he can't move fast, he can't drive, and he can't shoot then he shouldn't be out there. If he must be out on the court, than he should purely facilitate. His slow ass can still quasi drive to the hole and kick out to Fisher or Odom. You know, the 2 guys responsible for the comeback?
-
if it weren't for Kobe Odom, we wouldn't have even been in the position to go into overtime.
Fisher was driving to the basket when he can't even dunk. It's a good thing he found his shot later in the game.
Vujacic was trying to handle the ball and get penetration at the end of regulation even though he usually does nothing but stand on the 3 point line (even during fast breaks). but he put up good shooting numbers.
Gasol had butter on his hands and missed an easy dunk.
Vlad Rad coundn't buy a bucket.
Odom was the only one playing with heart and consistency in the 4th quarter. He made the key 3 pointer and the offensive rebound and layup after Kobe's miss.
-
Kobe really did fuck his team by continually trying to drive and bust 3's eventhough he was injured.
MVP! MVP!

Yea, and who was the one kicking out the ball to Fisher when he hit those threes...hmmm? Could it have been Kobe?
Kobe is not responsible for this loss...Should he have went about the overtime period a different way? Probabaly. But if he makes those shots, he's a hero. If he misses them, haters like you instantly jump all up on his dick, despite the fact that he's been the best player in these playoffs thus far. I can't fault a player this great. as great as he is, we can't expect him to make them all.. Dude just became the first player to put up at least 30-6-6 in 4 consecutive playoff games (and he did it tonight for the 5th consecutive time, as well), yet you still bash him because he didn't bail the Lakers out, like he usually does. Well, if he didn't have that bad back, best believe we'd be singing a different tune. You act as if he just pulled a LeBron...PeACe
-
Lakers are still winning the series.
Look at the Spurs today lol, like I have said since the first day of the season they are going to win it all again this year.
-
At the end of regulation, it looked they really wanted to go for the 3, but then Fisher ended up taking it to the hole. They wanted to steal that without going to OT, but it didn't happen. Kobe's shot wasn't falling, but it happens. They have to look for him with the game on the line, it will fall eventually. People need to stop hating on his game, or LeBron's or CP3's just because they are a fan of the other, they are all GREAT players. I think the Lakers will win the next 2, but I expected the Jazz to be a lot tougher than Denver, and knew they would present some problems. That block that Price had on Walton was ill, Luke should have dunked it.

Hey, if he's the MVP he's going to be subject to criticism. You said it yourself, when he was facilitating the Lakers went on a run. Why did he stop? Because he wanted to be the hero. Kobe is still Kobe regardless if the NBA is trying to market him in a positive light solely because he is clearly the most talented player in the league.
-
is it just me or can no playoff team win on the road thus far?
-
Phil said it himself, the team bailed on Kobe towards the end. Odom and Fisher stepped up, but Luke, VladRad, and Farmar really folded under pressure. Losing Turiaf to that BS flagrant 2 call didn't help much either. Every player has an off game, and when your back is injured and you put up 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists, that's a pretty good off game.
-
is it just me or can no playoff team win on the road thus far?
Lakers won 2 games in Denver...Houston also won in Utah. But yea, a lot of teams are flopping on the road.

We can talk 4ever about everything but the MAJOR reason of these 2 losses is Fisher in early foul trouble .. each time the Jazz has capitalized on Farmar VERY poor D and his poor execution of the offense, to build an early double digits lead ... that's the key of the upcoming games , Fish has to stay out of foul trouble

lmfao @ the pics, boozer is a cocksucker

its very tough this year, thats for damn sho.

Another big Lakers fan right here, I always read this part of the forum, just never comment. I just wanna if Kobe gonna play on Wendesday ?

yes.
-
Who would pose a greater threat to the Lakers, the Spurs or Hornets?
-
Both..
But I's rather face the Hornets. 8)
(An easier version of Utah)
-
Spurs are the greater threat.
-
Defiantly the Spurs are the bigger threat. Duncan would destroy Odom and Gasol and I don't see Fisher being able to defend Tony Parker.
-
I thought it was funny how Charles on TNT said that Kobe was only injured on defense lol

hes funny but has backwards ass basketball knowledge

he's really overrated.... I've never seen him do anything lol
and what's this bullshit I hear during the game yesterday?
talking about Boozer and Williams comparing them to Malone and Stockton
who thinks of these things? to even think they'll be as good one day is an insult to the game
give me a fuckin break

Give em' Hell NIK..... for all of us here in L.A.
-
This is the Playoffs, man...this is no time to show "Confidence" in players that are playing like crap......Farmar has been horrible for 3 months now.......Sasha needs to be the 1st Guard of the Bench.....short up that Rotation, Phil.....
D.Fish is a 12 Year VET, You can not pick up 2 fouls, 3 minutes in to the game for the 2nd straight Game..c'mon, Fish, you're better then that....we need you out there...
11 miss FT's.....56%
And Ronnie getting ejected from the Game was Bullshit...
-
^We need Farmar to win in these playoffs...we all know he's capable of playing good basketball, so shutting him off from that confidence would be a huge mistake. That's why Phil is Phil. He knows what he's doing and this is why he's the greatest coach ever...PeACe

In the regular season against Utah, Farmar averaged:
14.5 PPG (63% FG, 38% 3FG)
2.8 APG
2.5 RPG
..so it's not like he's incapable.

You're dumber than I thought if you don't think that our first player off the bench doing well is vital to our success in these playoffs. :stupid:

You forced my dude to bring out the stat's..^^
(Don't challenge NIK with stat's) 8)
I agree, Farmer is an important part of the Lakers 07-08 season.
What Utah should worry about is him having a breakout game, those averages during the reg season
vs. the Jazz would have buried Utah in those two loses.
Utah is playing their balls off... and still can barely win against a struggling L.A. (But a win is a win)
Looking for Jordan to have the best game of his post season on Wed.
(Pressure is on)
-
Notice how all the Lakers back ups are in their mid twenties. Young players tend to play shittier on the road. That's why Utah is so dominate at home, but they can't play for shit at on the road. Hopefully going back to L.A. will be the thing that shakes off the rust from these young guys. Having home court advantage is such a benefit for the Lakers.

Phil did say that he's going to start using Sasha as the backup PG so Farmar is in the dog house right now. He deserves it tho. This dude is crankin up dumb shots, missin layups, and making the most horrible turnovers ever. Plus everytime he comes in the game Deron Williams lights his ass up.
And I hate to admit it, but he's been slackin ever since we traded Crittenton.
-
^he's went on a few tears after we traded Critt...he's simply in a slump. it's to be expected.

ha ha....ha muthafucka. I think Parker might disrupt your D more. Parker makes his living penatrating into the paint. Fish or Farmar wouldnt have a chance stopping him. Plus, one of the Lakers big issues during the season has been defending the three. A point guard consitently in the lane will cause problems. Not to mention, you wont be able to double off of Duncan either. Regardless, Paul....Parker....either way you guys are fucked lol. Id say against us, the Lakers would really need Odom to be a force. He's too quick for Oberto or Thomas to defense, and too big for Finley or Ginobli. Against the Hornets, a different story...I think Kobe would average 40/ game against them.
-

He's a ballhog..he use to be such a great POINT GUARD.....letting that lamar pass go through his hands pissed me off.......is his head even in the game? ....

I'm going to game 6 in Utah. 8)
watch out for those crazy mormons
-
NIK better not come back to L.A. riding a bicycle while wearing a white shirt and a black tie.... and if he does, don't come around talking about golden tablets and an angel named Moroni, cuz I ain't hearing that shit! 8)
-
Yes!!!!! Pau fucking Gasol saved our asses at the end!
Kobe Bryant with NO FUCKING SHOTS in the 4th Quarter.
3-2 8)
-
Gasol is GOD

8)
Thank you Memphis for Gasol
& Thank you Utah for Fisher.
By the Way, IMO
Deron Williams >>>> Chris Paul
(Dude is a superior shooter and has better handles)
-
Thank God for Gasol!
-
3 -2 8) I need a cold beer to calm my nerves.....
-
That's how we do it...Kobe is obviously in so much pain. He hates showing it, but you could tell by the way he's playing. Regardless, Game 6 in Utah is gunna be crazy. 8)
-
anyone watch fsn after the game? gasol was literally teary-eyed. he's getting his kg passion on.
anyways, we really should close this game out in utah. this game was way too close for us to have to go through again in a game 7.

Yeah I will, I like Deron's game better.
He's a better shooter & ain't afraid of taking the big shot.
Personal fav (I don't Flip Flop)
-
I can definitely see why someone would say Williams>Paul...I'll let you know my final opinion after we face the Hornets in the WCF.
-
^^They are both great young PG's, but they play their games a little different and they are also affected by the players surrounding them. Williams was the reason the Jazz stayed in that game last night, because Boozer has been ineffective in each game in L.A. Sasha almost cost the Lakers the game last night, good thing Kobe was distributing and Gasol played stronger inside than normal.
-
Paul is way better than Williams imo .. Williams has only the edge on outside shooting .. he can't really impact a game as Paul does , at least not on a consistent basis ..
-
crazy game yesterday... damn.... i got tickets for the Dodgers @ Angels for friday (tomorrow) night so shit... im going to have to take a little tv with me to the ball game....

Chris Paul scares the living hell out of me. I don't know what we're going to do about dude.
-
I respect dude, but it's not like we haven't beaten him and his team before...
-
^LOL...seriously. We murdered him in that last match-up vs. New Orleans. And if the Utah series is any indication, we have great defense from the PG spot in Derek Fisher.
-
Chris Paul scares the living hell out of me. I don't know what we're going to do about dude.
Farmar would match up better with the lil' Paul.
(Williams is too strong for him)
Peja is the only guy I fear on that team.
he can explode for 25+ at any moment.
-
Ariza might play tomorrow. Its up to Phil...

Peja can be contained because he's strictly a jump shooter. I'd be much more worried about Paul.

I think Paul would disrupt your D far more then Williams can. He can get into the paint easier and kick it out to the open shooters. You guys already have a pretty suspect defense against the three. So youre right to be worried about Peja. Like i said, Spurs are takin game 7. But in the event of a miracle ( ;D), the Hornets would give LA trouble. Utah has givin you guys fits on the boards, the Hornets would probably be just as bad and most of NO's strengths, play to LA's weaknesses.

It's gonna be S.A. coming out of that series. (IMO)
So if the Lakers pull it out tonight, They should get prepped for the Spurs.
Both D.West & Chandler are banged up, plus S.A. played their best game last night.
(This fucken series is weird, both teams are beating each others ass every other game)
I think S.A. pulls it out tho.
T.Parker is gonna be a prob. (Speed Demon)
-
Making it to the WCF would be the perfect way to top off this friday.

I feel you on that. 8)

Lol let's be honest Jookin you'd love anybody and their moma in the WCF to play against, since you're gonna be so damn happy if you even make it there in the first place. Spurs making the WCF... I say the odds are 1 in 3.5 - at best.

utahs gonna win tonight
NBA wants a bunch of game 7's for $$$

Sorry to spoil your fun buddy, but it looks like you are lonely in the Game 7 dept. (except for when it comes to any Hornets & Spurs fans)....
I would wish you guys luck in your Game 7, but I want y'all to lose. So forget about me telling you all to go to church and pray. Go out and do everything you can to piss the man upstairs off and have him look down upon your team with a frown. 8)
-
Yesssssssssssss ... we avoid a Game 7 ... now my heart has to rest
-
In the words of Led Zeppelin: Dancin' days are here again...
Going to the WCF baby!
-
^^^^ It feels even a lot better after 3 shitty seasons ... now BRING IT ON THE HORNETS 8)

i'm happy but i'm not. we still gotta beat either NO/SA. 2 very tough teams playing great fucking ball. thank god we won though to get that rest.

at this point, they have to worry about beating us.... and beating each other first. we'll be ready for them... plus, we did what neither of them have done so far in Round 2, and thats win on the road. Not only did we win on the road but we beat the best home team in the NBA.
-
I'm not worried about either teams .. of course it will be tough but imo Lakers control their destiny .. we have way too many weapons on the offensive end and decent on D .. our athleticism would be a nightmare for the Spurs and the Hornets have absolutely ZERO answer for Kobe , contrary to the Jazz who had some tough defenders to throw at him
-
:boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:
Poor Mormon babies. Eat a big fat Mitt Romney dick you Mormon retards.

Oh and now we get plenty of time for Ariza to practice and get back into the flow of the game ;D

Deron Williams >>> Chris Paul

Lakers are no joke this year. 8)
-
Deron Williams >>> Chris Paul
not really , i mean both are tight but deron wasn't really there for half of this series like paul. NOT THAT I"M COMPLAINING. but on the real i'm hopin' for the spurs.
-
they almost blew it :-X
-
they almost blew it :-X
I went to sleep at halftime cause I saw no great chance for this to become a close game again..
-
fuck yea
i wuz worried at tha last fuckin minute
-
I knew lakers wouldnt win this series in 4 or 5..6 sounded more like it to me
Deron Williams is dope but Utah can't win on the road and blew this home game
good job for LA and the LA/no-sas series should be hella dope!
-
Hornets are like a softer version of the Jazz. The Spurs are like dying dinosaurs...I can't wait. 8)

WCF, here we come 8)

Shiet we've come up short at comebacks so many times its only right that a team finally comes up short against us.
