whats the current release date for dretox? lol
3001
-
Warren made early contributions so it's good to see he's making new ones. Sounds like Dre is going hard right now for Detox. DOC said it should be done in November..will see..

doing the math it should be sometime around 2012, but hopefully it gets priority when its finished. i say this because based on the info we know, there are supposed to be three other albums dropping before it (50 cent, relapse 2, slim the mobster) and this year interscope have only managed to release one project - relapse.

Detox is an ultimate project for Dre, why do you think he lists Quincy Jones as an influence?
this project may or may not ever see the light of the day.
Dre has nothing to prove & the biggest pressure comes from himself.
while Detox was first priority for Dre a few times in the past and may become again in the future, it definitely isn't first priority right now.
The DOC is just being a hypeman.

Detox always comes first for interscope, but what can you do when you're not getting it when you want :D

it seems like what we'll be getting may be more like chronic 2010/2011 than the original detox concept or sound, based on dre supposedly restarting it quite recently. quik shouldl let us know if dre goes for anything too different, cause he liked the shit he heard before.
-
I hope Warren will be on "Detox". He never had a verse on a Dr. Dre album.
-
This is good news.

 the direction keeps changing.
by the way LOL at relying on Quik :D what do you think he'll say?
"Dre is about to shake the earth! i heard he's making some sort of hip hop musical"
-
quik went into the lab and said he liked what he heard. he's the kind of dude who would say the stuff being kept in the vault was better if thats how it ends up.

He was on Deeezz Nuttz off The Chronic.
He was how ever absent off of 2001.

Read again what i said, homie.
-
good stuff but detox will not be ready in november lol
-
As a side note, the sooner Detox comes out, the sooner we will see a Dr.Dre release from WideAwake... Dre is not signing off of any of his stuff for the time being, again probably because he wants to put all of his energy into Detox without any other projects potentially conflicting with it.
-
Have Dr. Dre even talked about givin' them to right to release his old material? I kinda have a feelin' that it won't be happenin'.

The original Injunction still stands, Unless he gives the OK you'll never see Dr. Dre Verses released. Only production, as such Next Episode OG is locked up, Chronic 2, and any other track he was on will not be released. Lara Lavi hopes that after Dre sees Death Row has intent on paying Royalties he will allow them to release his stuff. Though don't expect anything to come right now.
Chances are those tracks won't be released for a long while. The Bad Memories of Death Row probably dictate how he runs Aftermath.
Basically anything of dre we can get is productions, no vocals. Only way they can release them is basically 3 ways.
1.File to get the Injunction Annulled
2. Get Dr. Dre to give them permission.
3. Give them to Dre and Hope he releases them (unlikely, given the value in those tracks).
Another way we can get tracks is if they get leaked (Not a 4th way cause of they leak em for free, they can be found liable).

i don't expect him to say that in public
