Crooked I has officially left Death Row Records, and is legally able to release his debut solo album. The anticipated west coast bred MC has also changed the title of his album from "Mama's Boy" to, "Boss Music". The title change is due to a recent court settlement success for Crooked I, in his battle to severe all ties with Death Row Records. This comes after several attempts by Death Row to pro-long the inevitable, after several court dates over the last 2 months. Crooked I is now his own boss, and is in the studio working on the new album due for release this year on his imprint, Dynasty Records, with distribution through Treacherous/Universal.
On a side note Westcoastdynasty.com re-opens any day now, with a new design, video footage that has been left off the Dynasty DVD, new artists on Dynasty's roster etc. Young Boss Vol 2 Mixtape is also in he works.
2005 is Crooked I's year.
Former Death Row Records recording artist Danny Boy who has his own imprint, Platinum Pearl. Is coming with another imprint, called Eclectic Soul. The first release is Gospel Rapper, MIC BOOG. DB and CTS of Platinum Pearl tell me the album will be released in April of this year. Mic Boog's album, Soul Clap features Danny Boy and features production from Death Row Records in-house producer Yaku. There is a quick splash page located at, www.platinumpearl.com/micboog with a full website in the works. You may also wish to join the forums on www.platinumpearl.com, both Danny and Mic Boog are posting.
Also I shouldnt say this but, if you see anyone saying "Danny Boy failed and sent home from American Idol" let them know its SOLELY because Death Row Records refused to take DB's name off of their website.

Yeah he has a release date set for the album. I shouldnt tell you this, but he is scheduled to sign his label deal for Dynasty, with Treacherous Records next week. This summer it will be in stores.
The Dynasty Entertainment DVD doesnt have a date, but has distriubtion etc sorted, and will be in stores before the album. Soon...

Boss Music won't bring any attention IMO "Mama's Boy Got A Loaded Gun" was tha better title good luck to him on tha Boss Music title.......... ::)

Is there a clip of Danny Boy on AI? or at least a picture? I didnt see him on AI.

LOL...well album titles may sound average, but when the album drops, nobody really cares if it's good. Remember "Dre 2001" was suppose to be "Chronic 2000" but he had to change it? Even though we still call it "Chronic 2001" it was actually just "Dr. Dre 2001" and that's real bland...same with Game, it was supposed to be "Nigga witta attitude" but now it's just called "The Documentary" but nobody really pays attention to how bland it is because it's a bomb album.

Eclectic Soul is more of a label, a Gospel label. Platinum Pearl, Inc is a company / label. Mic Boog's album will be an Eclectic Soul / Platinum Pearl release. Danny Boy's solo album will be a Death Row Records / Platinum Pearl release. As far as rappers on the album, I don't think so. I have the tracklisting, producers and guests and no rappers are listed. Mic Boog's single is titled "Soul Clap" featuring Danny Boy. The albums are going for press today. You should hear some music from it this week.

All of that is locked up in Death Row's vault. He took his 2001 Untouchable material, but he doesnt have any of the 2003 Say Hi to the Bad Guy stuff.

The album title change will be explained when the new site launchs. The U Gang group name changed because Benzino came out with the "Untouchables", and as the U Gang's logo was the Indianapolis Colts Horse Shoe, they switched to the HORSE SHOE GANG.
p.s. the main person who fucked up DB's chances was their webmaster, john hyland, known to you as Nate or am7.

Funny you say this. Danny's cousin CTS just told me a song from the album leaked in Chicago today. If that is the case I expect I can post it here. I will ask.

I know tha reason for tha U-Gang name change already and all i gotta say to that is fuck Benzino and his weak group i never would've changed it he could've say U-Gang still........... :)

db on American Idol is kinda ironic. I remember a couple years ago Suge was on Howard Stern right before "Dysfunktional Family OST" came out and he was playing "DysFunkTional Family Theme", and DB was singing, stern was asking him whether he found him on American Idol

AM7 is tha one who controls tha website so i guess it's safe to say he's tha one to blame but then again Suge probably told him not to remove Danny Boy's name......... :)
