he's produced the beat for "Connected For Life" .. but i dont know him.. what else have he produced?? ... that beat is blazin... one of the best ive heard this year....
-
i think...
he's the producer for cash money, and he's produced a helluva lot of their stuff.
someone confirm ;)
-
I'm pretty sure Overseer is right. I think he's the Big Tymer with the afro. I've heard he's the CEO of the label, but I don't know. But I do know he produces most of their stuff.
-
that beat is blazin, I luv it.
-
strange.. cuz he made a really PHAT westcoast beat... seems like he have hidden talents... ;)
-
Mannie Fresh is a tight ass producer imo! He does most of tha shit fo Cash Money and he will also be releasin' a solo album! Mannie is underrated big tyme tho!!

cash money isnt shit w/o mannie fresh. listen to juvies 600 degreez album and youll understand how much mannie carried juve on his shoulders. baby is putting out a double cd, not mannie. aj from 106 asked fresh if he would ever put out a solo joint, mannie said no because he doesnt have much to talk about.

i love the connected beat.. sound like some westcoast shit with country-inspirations.... props for that...

I knew that Baby is droppin a solo joint, but DJ Clue asked Manny on Direct Effectz when he was gonna drop a solo joint and he said that his moms ok'ed it and that it was comin' so watch out! This was days after he was on 106 and Park when he said that he didnt have much to talk about, so he IS droppin a solo joint!

I dont like Mannie Fresh.....I think all of cash money is fuckin wack...except for BG......they need to find something new to talk about...
Im not sure why, but Im not really feelin the connected for life track...I think its Mack's verse that I dont like....He just sounds lazy on it....I havnt seen the video yet tho.
-
i can see why peepz would hate on cash money cuz of all the same shit they talk about (bling bling, cars, money, hoes) but you cant deny that mannie fresh makes some of the hottest beats.i dunno if he has, but i would like to hear something he had produced for someone outside of cash money. he has great talent. if u listen to instrumentals of some of the cash money songs throughout the years, you'll see exactly how much talent.correct me if i'm wrong, but didnt they actually come out wit a instrumental cd a while ago?
-
Are you serious? U guys dont know who Manni Fresh is? Woooooh, that's some crazy shit right there...
He produced 99.9% of all Cash Money tracks...He's basically their producer, and also part of the crew...He's in all the videos, he's the fat dude that looks like whinnie the pooh...How can u miss him? LoL
I made a thread about him a while back in Outbound Connections...he's got talent, great talent, and is a very underated producer who produces fot the wrong people...He doesn't belive in sampling, and yet he produced every cash money release front to back from scracth...He's a good producer, and mad underated...I always felt his beats a little, but when "still Fly" and "Connected" dropped, I just realized he's on of the best Dirty South producers in the game...PeAcE

Exactly--600 Degrees makes me cringe due to the weak production. Anybody who says Juvenile's 600 Degreez is better than Wayne's 500 Degreez is only fooling themselves.
-
I'm surprised y'all dont know him well either.
I guess Cash Money isn't that big afterall.
Mannie is an okay producer but he makes hit and misses. I don't like him much at all, although lately he has been on fire with his production.
-
well.. i guess im not cash moneys biggest fan
-
wasnt juvenilles album 400 degreez?

Im not Nellys biggest fan, but I know who he is...LoL

theres a quite diffrence about knowing the artist that tops the billboard and knowing the producer to the crew i never listens to...

I dont blame u...You live in Sweden...
But If I asked the average 12 year old kid from middle school down here in Cali, he'd know who Mannie Fresh is...No offence, PeAcE
-
Well I'm boggled.... how could someone not know who Mannie Fresh is??
He's an awesome producer ... He has a very nice talent, I still love his production on 'still fly'

wasnt juvenilles album 400 degreez?
yea his second lp on cash money was 400 degreez (which is a classic imo). after juve left cash money lil wayne dropped an album called 500 degreez (which came out today). juve took that is a diss so he dropped an album called 600degreez. if you listen to that album(600degreez) you will realize how much mannie carried juvie on his shoulders. sort of like hoew dre carries snoop.

"400 Degreez" CLASSIC? WTF?! It's a solid, above average album...That's all...LoL
-
Mannie Fresh has been a production genius for years, yet you guys only recognize him if he has something to do with a huge hit or one of the westcoast rappers. Indeed, that beat is very tight, as well as the whole Bang Or Ball album, but those are the same caliber beats that he's always been making.
oh, and what exactly makes the "Connected For Life" a west-coast beat? Manny Fresh just makes tight music

Down South, it's one of the most important and classic albums ever. Just the same way that the west has it's classics, but may not be considered the same for other coasts. It's all the same

Trust me when i say it's not a classic...Listen too it front too back...A lot of the tracks focus on the same subject and almost sound the same, and lemme mention, there's a lot of filler tracks one there too...PeAcE
-
trust you uh ok ::)
-
Mannie Fresh has/is one of the best beatmakers around. If it wasnt for him Cash money would never be where it is at right now... and NOW I KNOW, not everyone has to think like you.. he said the album is hot in his opinion, shit all you had to say is you think otherwise and leave it at that.. oh and we will trust you on this one.. lets not forget you the kid with the ear for great music..
-

LmAO...He didnt say it was hot, he said it was a classic...Now if somone says "400 Degreez" is a classic, I think i have a right too speak my mind and let them know most don't consider "400 Degreez" a classic...PeAcE

well.. i didnt know him....

I never like Mannie Fresh's production until I heard Mack 10's "Bang or Ball" and I heard a hint of west coast production in there. Even Big Tymer's new album "Hood Rich" seems to have a west-coast influence.

That would be a very smart idea, since this is a WESTCOAST board and the majority of westcoast fans do not consider 400 Degreez a Classic. I DID NOT say that 400 Degreez was a Classic; i simply stated that in THE SOUTH it is considered one of it's classic albums along with many others that you've probably never heard of.
Now_I_Know is speaking as if the WestCoast is the center of all Hip-Hop music and all Hip-Hop opinion. Which obviously is not the truth
-
Everybody should know who Mannie Is...he's one of the greatest producers right now..

Well for u too tell me that I'm not open too other coasts of Hip Hop is very stupid, because I'm not a WEST COAST ONLY type of guy..I like the south, the east, the north, whatever, it's all the same...If the music is good, I like it...Im not close minded like some people...Albums like "Aquemini" and "The Diary" are true Dirty South classics...PeAcE

I understand that. I am just saying, if you travel to the NO or Texas you will get many different albums that are considered classics down there than you will in LA or NY. In the south, 400 Degreez is considred a classic while it may only be considered a regular old album anywhere else.
Just as, let's say, Soul On Ice (which i consider classic as well as most underground heads do) by Ras Kass is deeply beloved in the underground LA scene; if you go tell a fan from the south he'll probably shake his head or laugh at that statement.
I am just saying that most albums dubbed "Classic" have different rankings depending on where you go
