No, a foreign Manchester United player is not going to play in a international friendly is he??!
Has the mysterious hamstring pull not set in yet? ;)

Ruud played almost the full match, he got exchanged in the second part of the game.

BTW, there were given 2 red carts to both teams in this friendly game :-\

Obsessed with the champions
-
The Dutch side still aint recovered from Bergkamp's retirement, thats a shame 'cos they used to play great football, the Dutch passing game died when Dennis hung up his international boots.
-
lol
Bergkamp's good for a moan and a red card a season.
He will complete less than 10 full games this season
-
R.I.P the Dutch passing game, arguably the greatest football ever seen, we'll never see it again, especially not from this Dutch attack.
-
lol

"the fifties were Di Stefano's decade, the sixties Pele's, the seventies Cruyff and the eighties Maradona's. Whether one agrees with that or not it is clear the nineties have no such king of the game" - Johan Cruyff.
Completely off topic, but agree or disagree?

lol I should've seen it coming.

Seriously tho, if it ain't Phil Neville....
I think the demands of the modern day are much greater. Players playing as much as they do for their clubs, find it very difficult to perform internationally.
Look at the French, Spanish, English, Italian etc. teams in the last world cup. Most were all knackered.
If you had to name one player it would probably be Zidane, because he's won the World Cup, European Championship, and European Cup, and not just by being part of a good team, by actually controlling the play.
Just realised he won the European Championship and European Cup in the 21st century. lol
-
Also, Pele dominating the sixties?
Nobody saw him for Santos, and he left the '62 and '66 World Cups early on.

Good point, the games hugely changed since the fifties, sixties and seventies.
I'd be tempted to say Romario, but he never did much outside of playing for Barca. Maldini, Batistuta and Zidane are the only other ones that stand out for me, Zidane is probably the best.
Gazza probably would be there if he wasn't such a muppet.
The more i think about it the more i agree with Cruyff.

I've never been a big fan of Pele, he was talented but never the greatest, he peaked in the 70's anyway. I rate Maradona, Best and maybe Zico above him.

lol

Dennis is a legend. His coming to Arsenal totally changed us, he won us the double in 98 and played a huge role two years ago.
He will play a huge role again this year.
Pele was way over rated btw.
There was no out and out star of the 90s when you think about it. Zidane only became really noticed mid 90s.

Pembridge Or Gemmill.

Pembridge Or Gemmill.
LMAO!, Scouse humour hey ;)

He will play a huge role again this year.
I see you don't argue that he will play less than 10 full games.
