The beat kinda sounded similar to Let's Get Blown...hard to judge tho by the clip
When are they going to drop the single?
-
DUDE IN THE BACKGROUND RIGHT CORNER IS THE HOMIE
-
Sounds groovy but that's expected with Pharrel on the beat.
Best direction for Snoop right now, been there, done that, don't have anything to prove.
They have good chemistry, so I'm looking forward to what a whole Snoop album produced by Pharrel would be like.
-
Groovy!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKsR6yRmhdo kinda have a feeling that Dj Quik is involved in this

it sounds 100% like pharell, duno if uve heard his recent shit
-
Yeah it sounds like Pharrell but there's something about the mixing
-
sounds like pharrell's recent production to me, most of it has been very crisp and funky.

Exactly. I guess somebody hasn't heard "It Girl"
I'll reserve official judgment at a later date when we get the final product. And even the album version could possibly end up slightly different. Y'all know how that goes
-
If you listened to Pharrell's recent album, that's his sound.
It sounds more like Daft Punk influenced than Battlecat to me.
They should release the single in time, enough of the teasers.
-
like tube mentioned 'it girl' was a crisp one. the beat in the clip is like a sped up version of 'gust of wind' (drum loop) with a funkier guitar

funky as hell 8)
-
Sounds promising. Looking forward to this....and the sound is similar to the vibe of the pharrell "girl" and daft punk tracks, but the music overall could be better if snoop is on his game
-
So Pharell is Executive producing or he also produce all beats???
Cause battlecat and terrace martin and quik would fit perfectly in These concept!!!
Any News why he Calling it Bush???

Any News why he Calling it Bush???
With the album named "Bush" and the first single being "Peaches N Cream" I was always under the impression this LP is all about women, when I first saw that name popping up. That topic would fit an overall funky tone (if the whole album is going to be funk) of the album as well...just like all the "Nine Inch Dix" tracks so far. Maybe that's what to expect, like a modern produced Snoop only "Nine Inch Dix" LP. lol
The snippets are great. Looking forward to the whole track being available soon. Even though he didn't want to do it for a while, Snoop catched the Funk again.
-
hopefully its as good as 7 days of funk

sounds promising

Damn i loved those "9-Inch Dix" songs. a full LP with all the members involved should have happened.
-
Snoop is teasing a lot lately, can wait for that single/album to drop 8)

Only got a 30 second clip? Sounds fresh tho

Snoop's gonna make me relapse again. I ain't smoke no weed since the 31st but I might have to burn 6 to this. If I had it like that I'd buy "So Help Me God", "Cush" (I call it that becuz I refuse to recite something that reminds me of The Bush's), & "The Album About Nothing"
And speaking of "So Help Me God", I have a feeling this is going to be what "Detox" should've been, creatively and musically. But Jimmy was probably in his ear too much trying to get him to make an album of (bland) Ghetto Bach Interpolations and Overly Preachy Raps. Jimmy reminds me of Lucious' old boss for some reason
Anyway, sounds like "Cush" is going to crank hard tho. I'm actually not surprised by that. Pharrell and Snoop just clicc together. "Let's Get Blown" marks a certain period in time for Hip Hop. It reminds me, and I'm just speaking for me here, of my youth. I had just moved to Maryland when R&G was on the verge of coming out.
-
Why keeping the single for so long, not hyped anymore and Kendrick stole the show for me :(
-
Agreed. They need to drop this fuckin single ASAP! They are promoting the shit out of the song, and the album right now. Although, I think they are going to drop the album with no release date, it's going to just show up to create a different type of buzz. Everyone is expecting it soon, we just don't know when. Kind of keeping a fans on their toes.

Begining of first verse reminded me of Too $hort for some reasons
-
It's dope, disco, funky, and snoop sounds good on it....
-
Someone joke and said in the other thread that Snoop reads this forum, might be true lol I should've ask for the song earlier :P

Exactly what I expected, groovy & funky.
This might be the best decision Snoop made at this time in his career.
Hooking up with Pharell makes more sense at this point and at his age.
Snoop will always be a sharp MC, he's a natural, he just need the right direction.
Even though I think Snoop & Dre are the greatest rap duo of all time, At their age now, they can't be serving 'that Gangsta Shit'.
Can't wait to hear the album.

Scratch Quik unless he's part of an ensemble cast of other musicians and producers. Stamp
Anyway, this is that grown & sexy shit. I'm definitely fuckin with it. It's got some replay value most definitely

I'm really really feeling this track.
The production his dope, and organic sounding. Snoop also improved on his vocals and put some effort in his rhymes (assuming he wrote his lyrics), and he really flows on this in a smooth way.
If the album is on the same level as this track then we are in for a treat!
-
a snoop/quik album would be an instant classic.
-
The song is awesome, in my opinion. Great flow throughout the track, entertaining and well written lyrics, great delivery and beat. Really like it. 8) There is only one thing that really distracted me, it's how Charlie's part kicks in. It doesn't flow very well at the part of the track and somehow feels misplaced for me. Don't know, maybe I'll give it some more spins.
Looking forward to the LP.
-
Really feeling this... 8)

Whole album is great, and is probably the best solo project from Snoop since Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Pharrell really delivers on the production - the concept of this album being "modern funk" is the cohesive thread throughout, but that's not to say everything sounds like "Peaches." That classic Snoop and P chemistry is alive and well, and the album probably has the most in common with "Let's Get Blown," as far as comparing the new music to their previous collaborations. Personally, I think the record with Stevie and P might be Snoop's best shot at capturing that elusive Grammy...

Guess you have had the privilege of listening to the album then.
Any song like 'Pass it Pass it', from R&G on there?

Yeah, well, if Bush sounds like a R&G part 2 but without the gangsta lyrics, I'm fine with that. My friend at the time said Let's Get Blown was like a cross between easy listening and hip hop in terms of cross-genre fusion. It's a bit too light for me, but compared to Snoop's recent albums, that'll nevertheless still be a major improvement. What was great about R&G was that it had a cohesive sound throughout, and this probably will, too. I'm not expecting Snoop to talk about guns and so forth -- and that doesn't matter. It's more about rhyming to the rhythm of the beat and not ruining good production with half-assed writing and vocal performances. He'll probably do a lot of singing, too. He's not much of even a true rapper anymore. Anyway, this album has potential, and I'm just going to accept it on its own merits and not compare it to Doggystyle or anything like that. People say we're stuck in the 90s musically -- not at all. We just want good music like in the 90s. That's the difference.
-
This song is dope as fuck. That grown, smooth, soulful shit fits snoop like a glove. Snoops verses are strong, his flow is dope, Charlie adds an extra soul flavor to it and the beat is smooth, groovy & funky as fuck. Gonna be a summer staple 8)
Hyped as fuck for the album.

My faith in Snoop is recovering thanks to these two songs. Really gotta love this collabo. Though 7 Days Of Funk was a nice album (mainly because of dam's producing), imo this is best Snoop since No Limit era.
-
Funk Snoop is the best Snoop - period 8)
It reminds me of "Let's Get Blown" a lil' bit... def good look for the Dogg 8)
