dre is, together wit DJ premier, the most monotonous producer in hiphop-history. solidified fact.
desnt necessarily mean thats a bad thing.
just sayin

well you right i hear ya...dres beats maybe... but there are actually more reasons behind it...
-
It's dope but I wasn't wowed. I like the atmosphere, not really a fan of the way bishop went at it. Nice album cut though
-
This reminds me of a Tim Burton movie. It has a Sleepy Hollow-ish vibe to it. You don't hear this in Hip Hop.
-
it was pretty good..
but damn Dre is monotonous..
the beat is simple n effective cause it makes you concentrate on the story Bishop is tellin' :)
-
Nice song to bump for Halloween 8).
-
Video should be up within a couple hours 8)
-
Why there's a Dre version? Full song or remix ???
-
props, i was expecting a darker beat, to fit the content, but the song's alright.

never felt Bishop and never will
-
Fucking disappointed... boring beat, don't like the hook, lyric are hot but Bishop is always the same.
Definitely a story tellin' song... a boring Dre's beat wasn't obligatory for this one but there is +50% downloads only cuz it's produced by the Doctor.
Fucking boring shit I expected more for this one >:(
(This is the only production by Dre for the album or there are other coming tomorrow ?)
-
fail
this should have been produced by a trip hop producer. not a gangsta rap producer who doesn't want to realize he should retire....
-
so this means that the album is for free?
-
props, i was expecting a darker beat, to fit the content, but the song's alright.

That's from "Fast Lane", didn't notice it at first, my bad
-
Liz Rodrigues is the best part of this song
-
Nothing special in my opinion. Typical generic Dre beat, lyrics are on point but the song overall get's boring pretty quick.. Bishop has better tracks than this one.
-
Eh. Bishop gets points for creativity but as always the execution is not up to par. Beat is too repetitive also.
-
I'm really feeling it. Beat doesn't have to be any more than it is BUT I would have loved to have heard a murder was the case style sinister whiney synth when the story peaks at the end.
Top marks to bishop tho. Roll on tomorrow for shawshank.
-
This track is FUCKING CRAZY...enough said.
-
not a bad track, beat does get kinda repetitive

yes - if the oppositional humanrace would call it red - then the color "blue" will be known as "red" in the future
come on now, just stop trolling. you're irritating ;)
"Monotone" and "repetitive" goes wit Dr Dre's beats - as water goes with liquid. just facts. there's no debating value to it, and subjectivity doesnt play any ballgame :P
-
It's ok, solid track
Not as good as Hallelujah or Grow Up or No Stoppin Carson, but doper than many of the tracks on his mixtapes/street albums, which all had dope stuff on them
-

this, you make a good a point about the murder was the case style thing, plus the song was quality, real good story telling
-
really cool song, slow just like in a horror movie
-
the single is good slow flow generic lyrics but i 'm a bit disappointed by dr dre
he won't take any risk the beat is old that's a darkness beat for halloween 's day nuthin special for us
-
this track is a lil taste for the album, tanner is already wet in his pants...so this means something.

Keep flaring your nostrils and wiggering it up, Young Man.

I enjoyed this one. I think Dre should have made the organ sound more prominent during the verses though. If this actually would have seen an official release from Aftermath there's a good chance they would've done more work on the beat too so you guys gotta keep that in mind.

its decent...nothing amazing...i'm sure it had its place on the reformation :)

-
i remember bishop mentioning in a interview that he has a song about holloween and how Dre didn't like it at first but told Bishop later that it grew on him. is this one it?

Anyone have an instrumental ? That bitch's voice is just annoying .It's kee .ping me from blasting this loudly
-
Beat is ok, Bishop's lyrics are freestyle battle level, hard to listen to
-
On some dark shit. I like it. 8)
-
Average track... I'm kinda disappointed. I don't really like the hook.
-
Bishop's lyrics are freestyle battle level
lmao, absolutely nothing about the lyrics says freestyle battle. In fact the lyrics are the complete opposite of a freestyle
-
Seriously, this track is hella boring.

WTF. Are you listening to the same song?

I enjoyed this one. I think Dre should have made the organ sound more prominent during the verses though. If this actually would have seen an official release from Aftermath there's a good chance they would've done more work on the beat too so you guys gotta keep that in mind.
not sure about that.
the beat switched up during the chorus + some sound effects are present during the verses.
Dre likes to keep it simple, so i really doubt he would add anything.

Also, this was a Reformation cut meant to come on the b-side of the album. Sequencing makes a difference in the music. This beat is as simple as Remember Me?, for example.

Why is it on this new mixtape and not on the Reformation?

Recording over the years, better records knock out other records.

No not a double. I meant on the second half... like a track 13.

First time I'm ever going to say this about a Dre track, but the drums are the weak link on this one. Just don't fit with the rhythm. The drum loop doesn't match up with the rest of the instruments. Usually, Dre's drum patterns are money in the bank. I don't know what happened on this one. Did the timing get messed up in the mix down? Also, they need to be softer hitting. Wrong choice of snare drum. The whole percussion needs an overhall. It's ok on the chorus, but during the verses it really stands out.

You didn't hear a lot of Dre's beats then.
