After all of the wack fan made mixes of pacs Watch Ya Mouth verse ontop of sub par $2 dollar beats im really impressed with Watch Ya Mouth, the original beat brings this song to life, prime example of why they shouldnt alter the original recordings.
NY87 is ok, gonna bang it out in the whip and see if it grows on me, a little disappointing from the few spins here in the office.
Thanx again!
-
Isn't this the faggot that gave 2Pac fans in the past such gold as "grab my cats, locate my comwads" and a slew of other crappy remixes in broken english? I'll thank the source and not the sacrificial lamb.

damn Kurupt verse was sick as fuck on that NY 87 straight Dogg Food era shit, dope to hear Deadly Thrreat rock right after him too, that track was heat man no hook just Ganhsta Rap! haha
that Pac track was deadly too miss that era man, these days fucking Bad Boys era gets more respect then the Death Row/Dre & DPG do, i mean imma Jay-Z fan but Rocafella nevar had platinum plaque after platinum plaque from different artist and different out of the camp blow up on other labels (2Pac, Warren G etc) its a shame because the West is left out while other artist labels legacy are made out to be bigger that what they were...
-
Nice thanks for the hook-ups.
-
wow thanks jossy

Kurupt recycled it on the track DPG on Dillinger & Young Gotti.

that the true original instrumental on "watch ya mouth?" Doesnt seem to fit the production for the rest of the 7 Day Theory sessions...
probably one of the reasons suge left it off of the final version of the makaveli album.
can we get a production crediit on this song? i think its either lt hutton or hurt-m-badd i forget which one.

i think it blends in fine. u gotta remember that Mak changed tha tracklist a few times and that some of the songs on the released version of "The 7 Day Theory" weren't supposed to go on there anyway. That whole thing about it being recorded in 3 days was false from what I've seen on bomb1st.com where they had the dates of every song he recorded on Death Row Records in 1995 and 1996.

I'm the real Jossy bro
I've improved my rap skills
that shit that y'all heard of me wasn't suppose to leak... I got on some filesharing program back in 1997 and Chuck Dirty downloaded it and spread it around the world to discredit my 2pac leaks and position of an operator back then... back then I was still a teen with a funny accent.. english isn't my first language.... oh well... i guess it made me famous too
my position on 2pac hasn't changed since then and i'll continue to give the community the 2pac songs they deserve.. despite people like dante or g-litt trying to stop me and making a buck out of a dead man with songs that aren't theirs
-
Thanks for the songs :)

if u got anything with Snoop and Tha Pound i hope u can release em. I also read that he has 1 more song he did with Dre (on a beat or a feature i dont know) and I also read that he has an unreleased song with Lynch on a few sites I've seen in tha past and if u can get that then homie release that shit ASAP

They may as well pass on the next one to build-a-turd to leak out. Makes as much sense as digging up juicy's ass.

oh i aint know i just read about it. that Death Row catalog has an "untitled" song with him and Dre too.
i wanna hear that other song he did with CPO too, i think it's Pac and CPO (i'm pretty sure) but it might be Dre and CPO (i'm too tired and not geeked up enough to go look at that shit now)
-
i WISH the song with Lynch was real.....Lynch in 1996 was at his best - i think thats around the time he was recording the "Loaded" album and was fresh off Season.
-
hopefully these leaks will be the beginning of more to come.... i wonder if the .wavs for the Evolution set will ever leak i know its a massive upload tho ... maybe who ever has it can leak the first couple discs since they're the best .. theres definitely classics on those joints

NY 87 sounds like its a DPG Track and Pac Later Jumped on it, during the east/west shit...his verse is slighty out of sync
watch ya mouth is fucking sick as hell..pac sounds like hes trying some other rhyme style out...this one got a unique style he doesnt did much
-
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!This songs made my day

that the true original instrumental on "watch ya mouth?" Doesnt seem to fit the production for the rest of the 7 Day Theory sessions...
Content wise, its all Death Row, but beat wise, it'd sound in-place on Me Against The World

Yeah, actually Daz and Kurupt recycled their verse on the DPG on Dillinger & Young Gotti. NY 87 is a dogg pound track, not a 2Pac track. Pac was just featured on there.

NY87 was planned as a westcoast aftershock album track, I wonder how Daz and Kurupt feel about this leaking... Do you think they care?

Oh man, please tell me the news is that this album is leaking! DPG was at its peak at this time, and with previously released/leaked songs like "Me In Your World", "NY87", and "Can't See Me" confirmed to come from that album, i have no doubt it was going to be bangin. Rumor has it some tracks that ended up on Daz's RAW album were from the Westcoast Aftershock recording sessions as well.

Awesome! And you already answered my next question about Soopafly! I know you probably can't divulge too much, but do you know if the Soopafly track is an unheard track, or one that ended up being released on another project?

Pretty sure "Can't C Us" was a leftover from "Dogg Food". Almost positive it wasn't going to be released, especially after 2pac put that track on AEOM

I think it's just an expression for the songs that people "know" exist, ie. have snippets/poor quality versions but have not yet leaked in full good quality. There used to be a ton of them, but we're getting to the point where almost everything known has come out. There are still probably plenty of unknowns to be released yet. So these few remaining songs become "holy grails" in a sense that people are trying to find them. I don't think the expression is an indication of the greatness of the song, or lack thereof. Dying Day and Were U Been are the few that i can think of off the top of my head that i've heard but haven't actually leaked yet. The list used to be a lot longer than that a few years ago.

Watch Ya Mouth is a late cut from Makaveli and probably should have stayed on there

Yes, Watch Ya Mouth is an outtake from the "Makavali" album. It's actually, there is not alot of outtakes for that album.

Would love to find a CDQ of the OG Friendz, the version with the girls talking in the intro that leaked in crap quality.... I have a near cdq version of friendz with a different intro, same beat, but it doesnt sound the same..

-
"The Westcoast Aftershocc" EP woulda been the chit back in tha day. it'll probably still be the chit today. Tha Dogg Pound had some of tha coldest flows in tha game period back in tha day (no bias)
-
WOW!
Don't know the linking rules too good, but on another website there is a description of the reel/DAT that NY '87 came from. The other tracks on the reel are a loop from Daz titled "G Ride ON The East Side" (which he eventually re-used for the track "Nigga Gotta Hustle It Up") and also Every Single Day. Now this got me thinking....if the NY '87 that just leaked really came from the reel in question...does that mean there's a possibility a CDQ version of the original "Every Single Day" might surface in the near future???
-
Kinda curious to see what U.N.T.O.U.C.H.A.B.L.E. has in store

Awsomeness. Dont sound like CDQ but just glad to hear these tracks. Mabe some one can clean em up. Bass sounds way to lound on NY 87.

i LOVE the bass.....shit bumps hard

Forgive me if i'm missing something obvious here, but why is the track called NY87? What's the significance of the 87? I noticed on Kurupt's Against the Grain album, he's got a song called Anarchy 87. Is this a reference to a 187, or the year 1987? I'm drawing a blank on this.

mickaveli mad cuz some real shit leaked that he probably had already :D
i remember your ass from musicfantalk in 2001
he says that everytime pac songs (he most likely got) leaks lol
I don't say that every time 2Pac songs leaks. I just speak my concerns on the effects that they have on the wider scheme of things
The main reason I'm against these songs leaking are due to the ripple effect they may have on track selections for upcoming retail releases, and wouldn't like to see the releases ruined for everyone else

It's a reminder. West Coast rap really began properly in 1987 in a major way, blowing up and coming into it's own, NWA came out, Ice T etc. Hip Hop/Rap was predominately seen an East Coast/New York genre. 1987 also saw a lot of controversial East/West type drama, when that LA thing happened when a bunch of East coast performers went over, and violence erupted. It was all over the media, with politicians speaking on it, and certain innocent names blamed from the East coast that really had nothing to do with it. despite them being there, and happening under them, and I guess with 1997 (when this song would most likely be released) that it was a similar situation with the violence, and tensions happening, certain Westcoast people (namely 2Pac) being blamed for what was happening in the East
-
Thanks for the info. I knew 2pac said it in the song, but i just couldn't figure out where he was getting it from. The whole 1987 thing seems to make sense, although I never really heard any other westcoast rappers shout out the year 1987 back in the mid 90's when this song was made and the east coast/west coast beef was really going down. Maybe it just didn't catch on at the time.
-

Yeah, that was a reference to 187, not the year. West coast hardcore hip hop started in the early to mid 80's, the last I checked. One of the first known songs was Ice-T's "6 In The Morning".

hey Mickiveli, Wide Asleep as shown us they don't give a rats ass if the songs are already on the internet (i.e. Hoodstar and the Kurupt cd)
i'd love to see them release these songs as is, I'd buy it

Forgive me if i'm missing something obvious here, but why is the track called NY87? What's the significance of the 87? I noticed on Kurupt's Against the Grain album, he's got a song called Anarchy 87. Is this a reference to a 187, or the year 1987? I'm drawing a blank on this.
Yeah, that was a reference to 187, not the year. West coast hardcore hip hop started in the early to mid 80's, the last I checked. One of the first known songs was Ice-T's "6 In The Morning".
Although I could be wrong, I've always assumed this track was relating to the LA incident in 1987, withy the shoe on the other foot. At the time through the media's eyes (who played a crucial role, and being biased), it was reportedly East coast coming over to an up and coming West coast and causing trouble, even though the East were innocent, and simply coming over to make money. Similar to what the West were doing in the mid 90's, despite the media making the West to be trouble makers, gangster rappers, country etc. It's always been labelled as NY'87, and there are other songs that West coast MC's have made referencing this date, either in their lyrics, or song titles

Logged in just to give you props.

Major props dude. I didn't think NY87 was real and you provided solid proof proving otherwise.

Daz sounds at his peak rapping on this. Obviously everyone else brings the heat. Production is the bomb. :monkey:
Anyone know bout other Westcoast Aftershock confirmed tracks?
a surprise regarding this album is coming very soon :D
lookin forward to this.
thank you for releasing that stuff cuz i think that even if WideAsleep have those tracks they wouldnt release it cuz of the disses. Same way they didnt put out Slap Back & some songs on Kurupts album. Do you have Snoop Dogg/Bitch Dogg cuz in no way itll leave the vaults "officially"?

Anyone know the reason why Kurupt dissed Jaru & A Tribe Called Quest?
-
Jeru was going hard against commercial powerhouses that were Death Row & Bad Boy on his 2 albums the wrath of the math and the sun rises in the east, that may be why.

-
Dose anyone ells know what ells is left to
Leak or is this the end of the leaks ?
-
I remember when Dante and 2Pat paid someone $2000 for NY87 lol. Songs always leak in the end, what a waste, them fools funny.
-
This is not a good look for the WEST. This shows these artists immature side. Whoever leaked out these songs should have thought first about the damage it could do to the WEST. It's 2011, we are past all of that bullshit........

Are you going to fire up the DeLorean and go back to '95 to warn Daz, Kurupt, DJ Quik, Threat, and 2pac of the danger a song that leaked 16 years later will do?

You mean the fact that a rapper who died almost 15 years ago who is rapping on this song doesn't give away the fact that it's old?
