Props. This is the shit i like to see, videos like this. I'm not an artists or nothing but Snoop's pep-talk made me fired up and shit lol.
Which the video was longer and we could see some of session, with or without the music, just to see how they work and where their heads are at.
It's gotta be hard for the producers though they don't seem to be inspired since they don't know what type of sound they should create for him.

The way coach Snoop goes hard on the motivation speech & with The DOC being there, I'm pretty positive they were working on material for the Good Doctor & "Detox"!
The Bakery Presents "SnoopyDoggisodes" Ep.9 "Road to Riches" starring The DOC, 1500 Or Nothin, DJ Battlecat , DJ Pooh & DJ Quik
Produced by Snoop Dogg & Dah Dah, directed & edited by Dah Dah.
Tupac Shakur put it best: "There ain't nuthin like the old school!"
With JD from Da Lench Mob, Rodney O & Joe Cooley scheduled to come to the studios, Snoop Dogg motivates an All-Star ensemble of iconic proportions- DJ Pooh, DJ Quik & DJ Battlecat- together with legendary ghostwriter The DOC & another super-producer team- 1500 Or Nothin- to turn them into a hit-factory making-machine & write "The Next Episode" .

well that's how it goes these days, they record something, hoping dre will hop on it.
i think that's how it went with I need a doctor

Lovin' that video! The piano beat at around 6:10 is promising. I could see that turning into a hard Dre beat.
Cool speech by Snoop, but as an amateur producer myself, I can tell you how hard it is coming up with the goods on the spot. The good shit usually just happens, you can't force it like that.
-
One of my favorite episodes. It's good to see all of these great producers together. RBX at 06:31 & 07:12.

Cool. Snoop should be havin them(all of them on one album i mean) producin for HIS albums too, along with Soopa and others.

If they have some hard-hitting shit & I bet they do & Dre don't want it or don't use it, I'm sure Snoop definitely will! It won't go the the garbage can!
-
too bad snoop dont do this for his own album

These guys arent amateur man - they know what they do.
Snoop's on point.
-
They can make very dope beats without snoop's coaching.
Snoop should take care of his verses instead, and not rapping during his naps.
Fortunately D.O.C is here.
PS:excuse my english 8)

Don't you mean "napping during his raps"? Just asking?

Yes, that's it. Thank you for the correction. And it's not "hopefully" but "fortunately". I've told you my english wasn't very good

snoop bossin people around
That's what I'm saying. I know he meant well but he just came off like an asshole.
I still think it's cool that he brought all of them together though.

-
^really? maybe i need to read the credits again? ^^;

Only Battlecat had beats on "Doggumentary", DJ Quik mixed "El Lay" though.

What are you talkin' about? J-Dee is doin' life in prison.

This is some good shit. It shows that Snoop still has that passion, and you gotta love the way everyone was working together. That is some serious talent in the studio. Hope they come up with some bangers.
-
I wonder if we'll ever hear these beats on an actual album, not a myth album like Detox ..
-
nice beat in the background, is it new?(after the intro)
i guess it is then
-
Best one yet 8)
-
Wow. So dope to see the comradery between the talented producers. I hope they come out with some solid music.
You can't go wrong with all that talent in a room!

Man that was dope, hopefully we get to hear something from these sessions. I'd love to see a new snoop album with solely that production team.
Let's hope detox comes with a DVD of similar stuff

Sounds like they got some serious heaters in that second clip. Battlecat giving up to Nate Dogg! 8)

Snoop just needs better producers who can capture his sound but on some better shit. Too many old skool producers do that same ol boom-bap Dr. Dre method and it ain't fresh no more. DJ Quik still tryna do that magical sitar thing and while he had the best beats overall that shit isn't classic and barely (maybe) Top 40 on the hip hop charts.
The beat they were constructing at the end with tha strings sounded like some shit and that particular sound patch made it even worse. If they really want Dogg to win then don't give him that lol. It sounded like they were trying to force it IMO.

Truth is do you honestly think that if they came up with some really HEAVY shit they'd put it in the show for any geek to rip it make as if it's his own music?
Somehow I doubt it. I think the purpose of the video is just to share the feeling of the session with the fans. No more.
-
^^yeah i feel u, people on here be bitin my swag and imitating my moves. i definitely get that.
