as cheesy as the song is, i heard it for the first time in FOREVER , ice ice baby that is.....then some new song called AY baby came on the radio......and i can say with all confidence that Vanilla Ice is a better rapper than most of these new school hip hop artists......ignore the cheese factors of both artists and examine the flow, lyrics (how they rhyme and such)......i never thought i'd say this but VAnilla ice OWNS...

Very true, in retrospect, Vanilla, as a rapper wasn't actually that bad.
I saw his VH1 behind the music a few years ago, and the stuff he did before his blowup album, To The Extreme, was actually pretty funky and dope.
