Rapper Chris Kelly of the group Kris Kross was found dead at his Atlanta home this evening, a rep for the Fulton Country Medical Examiner confirmed to Billboard. He was 34.

Officials told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Kelly was found unresponsive and transported to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

No further details were available at press time. The rep said Kelly's body will be examined tomorrow.

The duo was best known for their multi-million selling 1992 album "Totally Krossed Out" and the major hit "Jump," which spent eight weeks atop the Hot 100. Mac Daddy, as Kelly was known, and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith famously wore their baggy clothes backwards. The duo performed at the 20th anniversary party for Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label in Atlanta earlier this year. The group was producer Dupri's and the label's first big success.

The album topped the Billboard 200 and produced four singles including "Jump," "It's a Shame," "I Missed the Bus" and "Warm It Up," which reached No. 13 on the Hot 100.

They followed up with "Da Bomb" a year later, which failed to match the success of "Totally Krossed Out," but still sold over a million copies. Their third and final studio album, "Young, Rich & Dangerous," featured guest appearances by Da Brat, Aaliyah and Dupri.

People always talk about "Jump" and that first album when they think of Kris Kross.  But when I think of Kriss Kross I will forever remember the Young, Rich and Dangerous album.  That shit bumped back in jr. high, winter 1995.
