he said it on Westwood!!!! and he'll get dre on his new album..."The Blue Carpet Treatment"
-
It's about damn time!!
-
good news its about damn time
-
was there any question that he wouldn't be?
dre and snoop songs for the most part end up being very popular songs. I think dre just saves all of them for his own albums, because he can. think about it, dre has only been on 1 song out of all of snoops albums.
one part of what makes dre's solo albums so great is that he barely does guest appearances, and so it makes him that much nicer to hear. so I think dre thinks him and snoop songs might get played out if too many of them happen. so he keeps them rare and on his own albums.
-
word. What's westwood though??!
-
Dre & Snoop are gonna ride once more 8)
-
word. What's westwood though??!
Hallelujah...w/o snoop it wouldn't really feel like it was a chronic record

Well, I get what you're saying but that's not totally true. He's been on tons of skits, had a line in "Who Am I", etc. Dre doesn't rap much on ANYBODY'S songs... he has to rap on his own CD, and all Snoop does is rap (doesn't produce)... so the only way they can colaborate on a Dre CD is if they both rap (since Dre pretty much has to on his own CD). On Snoop's CD's, he's more comfortable to just produce, which is what he does best anyways. I don't think Dre purposefully holds Snoop/Dre collabos for his own CD's, I think he just raps on the ones that are on his own CD's because he pretty much has to.
-
I think he saves them all for his own album, because he knows how big they are. lol, like dre doesn't have time to give snoop one beat or one verse for some of his albums? dre knows whats up. its an ego thing I'm sure. just imagine if nuthin but a g thang was not put on the chronic, but instead put on doggystlye, imagine how much different both those albums would have been. or imagine if next episode was put on the last meal, instead of 2001. I bet after dre drops detox, he will probably give more beats to snoop than he ever did before post doggystyle. hell maybe its not even dre, maybe its interscope that won't let him. who knows, but I definately see the marketing technique behind it. its something nate dogg should have done, might have made him a lot more successful.
-
cant wait for some more dre/snoop heat
-

I don't know, nate is pretty damn successful. I mean a few years ago he was on EVERY song played on the radio.

yeah, but his has like 35 album sales total with all his albums. he helps other people sell albums. just like dre helps other people sell albums. but dre knows how to do it better than nate.
-
good news!!!!
another classic!!!
-
i just finished listening to that interview and it was nice to hear snoop say that. i always figured he would be on dre's new album but snoop was saying before how dre hadn;t talked to him about it yet

-

-
yeah should be alrite, just wana know whos guna b supporting him n that... dont think daz, kurupt will b their, reckon Quik will be, and apparently Game cos he opened for him last month..
-
Personally, I think Snoop will be around for a long while in the future. I think he'll drop at least 4 more albums (including 'The Blue Carpet Treatment')
Back to topic, Snoop on Detox was a given but it's nice to hear it confirmed.
-
duno bout another 4 albums, think if he were to do that then the albums would be the softer material he's been goin off on lately like with justin timberlake and pharell, which would suck big time but can tell hes already slowly goin that way.
-
I would actually just like to get Detox instead of just reading about it for 4 years.
-
This happened last time dre and snoop didnt hook up really then 2001 dropped and was classic, then snoop dropped Tha Last Meal which is one of Snoop's best with classic Dre beats, then Restless come out with Dre as Executive Producer and was fuckin sick.
Hopefully this will happen again 1st Detox will drop be a certified classic, then The Blue Carpet Treatment will drop with Dre all over it and be dope, and finally Games next album will drop and be a Restless Pt. II with sick Dre beat ;D ;D ;D
-
I just realised G Unit could be on Detox too...
-
I just realised G Unit could be on Detox too...
could be....sad thing
-
Hope G Unit aint on it rather see M.O.B. on it.
Keep it West Coast with exceptions from Busta & Obie maybe
-
was there any question that he wouldn't be?
no shit... i hate it when everybody on here is gossipping like 15-year-old girls about detox. "snoop's ego is too big", "dre's ego is too big", "they're too big to work with each other, period". the post of this moron right here is a great example of what i mean:
C'mon man Dre knows Detox can't be without Snoop. He has just to put his ego away
-
maybe before game's second LP we will get a bishop lamont album
since dre loves breaking new artists first
good thing is dre and snoop r back 2gether
hope detox is still a westcoast LP like dre 2001 with like 2-3 east/southern features
obviously stat quo will be on it... maybe jay and 50 also
i doubt G unit crew will be on it
mary blige def on it

me a moron ? ;D. If u think these artists haven't egos u a fool man
-
I don't wanna bitch but i really hope Snoop's not gonna try to convince Dre that he should do a couple of tracks with Justin Timberlake
or other popstars. :(
-
^ Ur Not alone.
-
me a moron ?
No, you.

do you live in a bubble or what?? you'z a stupid if you think dre is going to put some pop shit in detox
-
lmao at JT being on Dre's album, how did anyone come up wit an idea like this??? ::)
-
thats great news!!! i knew it would happen....
-
It's a personal opinion but i really think Dre should Keep it all West Coast. Make it a West Coast Classic that will bang in the East clubs. Go with Mc Ren, Snoop, Xzibit, Nate, Kurupt and Daz even The Game as far as West Coast artist. Kokane is probly gonna signe with G-Unot, that means is gonna be on the same label as Dre. Common Andre put some Kokane in it please.
He gotta let those G-Unot fag out of this project, the only non west coast rapper I see in it is Eminem coz he did a great job on chronic 2001, and as far as i hate him i at least respect his work.
I can't wait to see the track list (and if i see 50 cent on it my nose will probly strt bleeding till i die).
-
50 is probably gonna write alotta hooks for dre lol
dunno man
i have a feeling that G-unit wont be involved alot in detox
cause i think 50 and dre r only business partners not freinds any more
-
damn good to hear, I was wondering if Dre and Snioop would ever to song together again
"The Blue Carpet Treament" is a dope ass name
-
props on da info
-
this thread makes me smile ;D
peace
-
There was never really a doubt in my mind that Snoop would be on Detox, but it's refreshing to hear them talking about hooking back up for some classic material. Nice album title for Snoop. Hopefully "The Blue Carpet Treatment" will be more of a west coast album as far as production and collabs go.
props for the news ;D
-
The retarded comments in this thread just keep coming. It makes me wonder about the level of intelligence on this board. Dre knows what his fans want. If you don't already know that, you probably should stop listening to Dre altogether.
