-
Classic track, who produced this ?
Produced by Snoop Doggy Dogg, co produced by Soopafly
-
Soopafly then, Snoop did not produce this

Soopafly then, Snoop did not produce this
Well you got Saadiq on guitar and backing vocals + Soopafly on keys and Carl Butch Small on percussion. Even Bad Azz got a writing credit for additional lyrics writing. A real team effort (and that's why this era produced so much dopeness), but yeah Snoopy got the main production credit.

classic song from an untouchable music era.

Classic.

One of the songs from The Lost Sessions Vol. 1 had some of the same verses too... can't remember which one off the top of my head.

I dont get it, this isnt that rare, and the "HQ" video isnt either. It came out with the DR Boxset, also been on the internet 4 ages, and Ive had the CD single it was on since it came out mid 90's.

Yeah, it's not rare. The video of "Midnight Love" was also on the "Murder Was The Case" DVD, plus the song was on the first Death Row Best Of Snoop Dogg CD.

"HD". That means "High Definition". Unlike what was released originally. This "HD" video clip was released on several Bonus DVDs b4. Why is it being posted again this time around?.
Do you get it now?. Hope you feel alot better afterwards.

Dope track, classic death row shit. So this was off a shelved EP?
Yup from a shelved 1997 Doggumentary EP meant to be released on Death Row

Definitely wasn't shelved in terms of being on the radio. This track was a mainstay on Power 106 from late '96-late '97. Absolute jam. One of Daz's best verses. And that track has Soopafly and Saadiq's touch all over it, there's no way Snoop had anything to do with the musical element of it. He might have come up with some concepts for the music, but the beat screams out perfection too much for an amateur like Snoop to be behind it.

Never said the song wasa shelved i meant the Ep just like the Nate Dogg G Funk Classics on Death Row this Ep only seen about 1-2 weeks on shelves before getting pulled
-
People said the Doggumentary EP got released like they said "Next Episode" OG got released, but after all this time I'm convinced neither did. The battlecat remix is the same as the one preformed by Snoop on SNL but the EP's studio version EP never leaked.

Yeah? What's your source for RBX being writer? Always though that verse had CPO's style all over it.

Doggumentary EP obviously never made it into the stores like Nate Dogg G Funk Classics did. Reason why Vapors Battlecat Remix is still unleaked
Snoop Doggy Dogg - Doggumentary E.P.
Soulja Story
Once AGain
C-Walk
Vapors Remix
Snoop Bounce Remix
Gangsta Walk
Doggfather Remix
Midnite Love
Incase someone is intressted in the tracklist

Yup. I wish that am7 or whoever he is (ex DR webmaster who worked for WA) would leak this. According for the Asset PDF's it looks like the whole thing was mastered and ready to go. I'd love to finally hear Once Again, C-Walk and that Vapors Remix in Mastered CDQ.
On another note though, did it ever strike anyone else as strange that Snoop had all those incredible songs in the vaults like: Midnight Luv, Eastside, Eastside Party, Keep it Real (Party People), Change Gon Come, Head Doctor, May I, Rocc Ya Body, Too High, Usual Suspects etc etc and who knows how many other dope unreleased tracks,.. but then planned to releases an album like the Doggumentary EP? I mean C-Walking, Once Again and all those remixes are cool songs an all but when he's sitting on so much heat it kinda makes you wonder what he was thinking with this as a major release... a kinda weak 8 song EP?
-
@Efrain Keep in mind, most of these are old cuts because they knew Snoop wasn't recording anything new at DR. A lot of these were actually considered for Dogg Father.

The version of "C-Walk" that was goin to end up on the "Doggumentary E.P." is probably the same version that was on the "Smokefest" CD. It's the original and Big Hutch remixed it for "DMW".
-
Well yea the Doggumentary EP is kinda strange disc. Some people say it was pressed, some say it wasnt. My thought is that death row scrapped the project before they even pressed the disc. Maybe the had some label issued copies tho.
Snoop Bounce Remix, Midnite Love, Doggfather Remix re all released on the Doggfather Single CD.... so why should they release them again with another 5 cuts? That makes no sense.
Later Snoop went indi with his Smokefest album and tried to sell some cuts via his website years back, then signed to master p. Suge the tried to release this at his best album which he then pulled for some reasons,... some distribution problems.
But yea Efrain, the tracks you listed re straight bangaz, I need to bounce the at his best in my ride again. Havent heard them for years now.
