Spice 1 – 1990-Sick
1. 1990-sick (Kill ‘em all)…Ill lyrics from Spice and MC Eiht. Evil sounding production. 4.5/5
2. Dirty bay…Hard bass, quality production. Spice flows his ass off. Dope hook. 5/5
3. Mind of a sick nigga…An old school beat with a twist of squealing to update it. Tight lyrics. 3.5/5
4. Drama…A+ production. Flowin’ ass lyrics combined with a good hook by Kokane. 4.5/5
5. Mobbin’…Nice beat. Nice flow. Somebody besides Spice should have done the hook though. 3.5/5
6. Survival…Classic Spice lyrics and a dope ass beat. 4/5
7. Tales of the nigga who got crept on…Production has a hint of a dark feel. Deep bassline and tight story-telling. 4.5/5
8. Sucka ass niggas…Straight old school beat and old school flow. I skip this track. 1.5/5
9. Faces of death…Sounds like an interlude at first, but halfway into the song it turns into a song. Kokane lends his vocals. 4.5/5
10. 1-800-(Straight from the pen)…Great song about having friends in jail. Production goes well with the vibe of the song. 4.5/5
11. Ain’t no love…Nice chorus. More of a laidback beat and flow. 4/5
12. Funky chickens…Dope ass song about selling drugs. Tight production. 4.5/5
13. Snitch killas…Quality production, A+ hook, and tight lyrics. 4/5
14. Can U feel it…Nice production. Simple chorus, but it’s catchy. Tight flow from guest rappers. 4/5
15. 1990-sick (Kill ‘em all) (solo)…Same beat as with the first track, but Eiht’s verse is taken out and an additional Spice verse is added. 4.5/5
OVERALL…9/10
Almost perfect album. The only track I’m not really feeling is the old school track. Otherwise, the CD can play straight through without skipping a song. Spice 1’s subject matter here is very limited, basically talking about the same thing, but he always makes it interesting to listen to with dope rhymes. The high-quality production doesn’t hurt either.
