yeh ur right, it sounds like a mixtape track srs! is there even a hook? it sounds like jay rock at the end..
10 years for that... gtfo dre..
-
just....lol
-
I like it. Remember everyone this is an unfinished version....Dre will polish it up for us and have some put a hook on it and it will sound so much better. I just wish they would have finished it before they leaked it, that way it wouldnt get thrown under the bus. And damn the fool who droped all the tags on it........I like it though......Detox has to come now.
-
This is real. Dre's been thinking of going the techno route with DETOX. That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days. "I Dominate" was a dance record like this... although "I Dominate" was better than this, imo.

That's not a full song ...
-
make one thread bout it, its hard to write on 2
-
Its got to be finished. They still got to put a hook on it and mix it down. You guys know this isnt complete and you know it will sound a lot better when its finished.
-
sounds like not mastered/mixed

i dont say the track is that bad, but thats not what i was expecting..
i wonder is dre goin to release it now
-
They said a club joint. They right.
Cant wait to finished version.
-
beat is crazy.. dont trip
-
This is real (not finished, but real). Dre's been thinking of going the techno route with DETOX. That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days. "I Dominate" was a dance record like this... although "I Dominate" was better than this, imo. That's also why they never made any official claim that the song is a DETOX single... because they weren't certain of how the masses would react.

wtf. I Dominate leaked ? ::)
-
Guys let's be serious right now, even if this is mixed and mastered by God himself it's not going to get any better. It's in no way the shit that everybody excepted from Dre after 10 years especially for Detox. If it's just a single to promote the headphones then ok.
-
Heres a better sounding version i edited..so you guys dont have to blast your volume so loud

Big mistake allowing the unfinished version to come out. It should have been completed and then leaked.
-

-
I enjoyed the previous leaks and 'fake detox tracks' more than that..
-
hahahaha
-
Lol @ ppl hating on this, its unfinished so save the hate for when the mastered versionn comes out n sucks.

It was a dance/techno type record like this one. But with more melody and some exotic instrumentals. It wasn't bad at all...especially for a club/radio song.... I know Bishop and Dre never liked it, haha.
-
This proves my theory that Dre & Crook had a bet over who could delay their projects the longest.
With Wideawake releasing Crooked I's debut, dre won and could release his project
-
Lol @ ppl hating on this, its unfinished so save the hate for when the mastered versionn comes out n sucks.
how much u think mix and master will change this song?
-
yeah for real
what happened to dre's flow?

It's average, Jay Z needs to be replaced with Snoop, then it might be OK.

Well, I've been posting exclusive news on him and the camp for years before it was ever released. I'm not going to leak anything without permission.... just keep your ear out for "Blow Yo' Mind" featuring Xzibit in the next couple of days.

Couldnt really understand what dre was saying. Can see what he is trying to do though. I thought this track was supposed to be on a mixtape anyway that was posted the other day?
-
Rebel is certified. Don't hype.
As for the track. yeer I'm a lttle disappointed cause all of us expect Still Dre part 2 but I'ma see what the finished product is and what the album sounds like as a whole before i start sharping my knives
-
LOL no wonder why this forum is a joke so this you like? i love Dre too but the double standards people have in here are ridiculous this shit sounds like a damn Lady Gaga song yet y'all feeling it? Wow
-
Replace jay z with snoop and this could be tight. Jay z ruins every track
-
Sounds like Game doing Dre's vocals.
Honestly, that's not Dre is it?

Under pressure? Why? Are they constipated or something?
What do you expect from on of the laziest and worst producers ever?
Dr.Dre-Scott Storch-Mike El=10 Years of Underwelming shit/
Look at Documentary credits...All Dre songs had assistance from somebody..Tupac was right. :-X
-
so they wount finish it now? :S
love the beat, dont know if its enough for first song of the detox tho...
-
I knew it!! Scott Storch is still on drugs! All blame goes to the Tuff Jews Nose!!!!!! How do you go from Still DRE to this man?

what will the track be on? mixtape or the reformation? dre production? and have you heard it? sorry for all the questions! lol
-
TBCompletelyH about the shit... I'm not disapointed at all, actually I kinda like it, it's upbeat and it's Dr. Dre. All I've been waiting for this whole millenium is some new Dre shit to bang to, i could care less what it sounds like and what he's talking about. Yeah of course I PREFER that gangsta shit that only Dr. Dre can do but I'm SATISFIED, I'm gettin' my fix that's all i care about. There will be a billion muthafuckaz way too over judgmental (atleast on the internet) but I'm straight. I'm just glad that the good doctor is back in action. Once this album drops people will be on dick again. Who knows, Dre could pull a "Last Train To Paris" but i don't care, like i said I'm just glad i'm about to (hopefully) get some new Dr. Dre shit, everybody else can suck a fat one. Funny he dropped it on Pac's Birthday, goes to show u that he hasn't forgot where he came from and he hasn't gone all HollyWood and forgot about niggaz. Much respect 2 Dre for that alone.
-
lol this shit is fucking awful...
-
9 songs left to hear now
-
9 songs left to hear now
LOL :(
-
wow 10 years and this is what we get
-
in some recent interview storch said that they was struggling to find a hook for it (and this is i think that no hook version), but they found it, so maybe dre we will release finished version soon, like they did with crack a bottle and get it in?
-
Can't be the full track anyway. Far too short to be a single & probably missing a verse from Dre.
Think it's just part of the hype rollout. Will be out, untagged, fully mixed and with Dre's vocal redone.
-
lol at this shit, its beyond wack, not even hip hop :grumpy:
-
Somebody define HipHop for me, if it's only a certain timeframe in music then y'all r sadly mistaken and should be :sign_banhim: ASAP bitches
-
I've listened to hip-hop for two decades now. I can't remember ever being so disappointed about such an anticipated record.
-
lol.. u really expected to hear some 2001 shit? after detox every rap song will sound like this ;D
-
This song sucks Jay-z's big ass Kidney lips...damn it's awful
-
You can definitely tell it's not finished. But I don't see how this could drastically improve. It's not bad but it's nothing memorable either, this will get old in a month. Jay sounds much better, more natural flow, Dre's flow seems forced as hell. Beat is banging though.
I still don't think this is a Detox single, just something to test the waters and given the feedback I'm expecting it to be an iTunes single only. It's funny that it leaked how it leaked, that's what Dre gets for always pushing his stuff back.
-
i too have listened to hiphop all of my life, this is hiphop. it may not be a "devil's son" by big l or a "93 til infinity" or a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmhf4-H-YeA&NR=1 but this shit is hiphop nigga, it's definitely music inspired by hiphop so therefor the shit is hiphop, enuff said. u just ain't feelin it bcuz of all the hype on the album, u will by sunday tho.
-
if this is the dopest one...dretox will be a classic....
9 songs left to hear now
LOL :(
-
you equals waited 10 years in excitement for jayz hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha maybe if yall would have checc'd for others shit yall would be ight, this equal dre on some i smoke i drank roy jones shit hahahhahahahahahaha yell
-
I knew it!! Scott Storch is still on drugs! All blame goes to the Tuff Jews Nose!!!!!! How do you go from Still DRE to this man?
didnt scott storch help produce Still Dre? Dre did the beat for West Side story,Scott did the piano and bass...Have a look, it says on the booklet.
i should become a producer!SO easy, i can make beats allday in Fruityloops...and get others to play piano etc...
when dre says beats by dre, he means literally beats...now bass, piano or melody, coz he aint know how to do it
-
I knew it!! Scott Storch is still on drugs! All blame goes to the Tuff Jews Nose!!!!!! How do you go from Still DRE to this man?

My point exactly. He wasnt using back then.
-
i'd have to hear a finished version which would obviously be way better.
but even then, no. just no.

shutterbug is the dopest beat I've heard in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, and that was from Storch
-
this shit is tight, just because it's not "Still D.R.E. Part II" or "Nuthin' But A G Thang 2010" it seems like hella members' pussies are starting to hurt/bleed
can't wait to hear the finished version whether it makes Detox or not, and for the record Jay did his thing on this one and I'm not a big fan of his new material
-

even the concept of this track, i can't think of a decent analogy, it's like going to put it in and completely missing the hole. even worse, it was a shemale! epic fail.

Nevermind. Thats Uber trash also. Whats with the standards these days?
-
I like this...
-
Damn this beat here had me hyped up about that under pressure single http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoNzegb1Yzo
I hoped that this would be the beat, but now i'm really disappointed.
-
this shit is tight, just because it's not "Still D.R.E. Part II" or "Nuthin' But A G Thang 2010" it seems like hella members' pussies are starting to hurt/bleed
yep most people here are stuck in times and i agree but lets be honest this song is really really bad
-
Seriously, Shutterbug is an old beat? Come on man I thought it was new, that shit is probably one of the best and most creative beats of Storch.
-
So is this for the hp commercial or is this a street single for the album
-
can equals stop using that bullshit it's not finished excuse you muthafuccas are starting to act like dre and yall been have for years, man up west coast fans stop being pussies, ain't nobody saying the album won't be hot,but for a muthafucca to wait 10 years why the fucc would you come bacc with jayz bitch ass? what does he got to do with you "detox'n"? ice ice baby is more captivating then this shit keep it networth pussy's yell
-
Seriously, Shutterbug is an old beat? Come on man I thought it was new, that shit is probably one of the best and most creative beats of Storch.
made way before the whole rehab thing.
we were all expecting this to be a dance style record. i certainly like some dance music. whichever way you slice it, this just isn't very good. normally you'd give plenty of slack cause of the whole unfinished thing, the benefit of the doubt. but even then, the concept is just...
-
WTF is this?! Stupid uninspired shit and what the hell is that "circus" kinda sound for that comes up all the time? Is Dre trying to tell us that he's a clown?
Dre drops an unfinished song while he told us the last TEN FUCKING YEARS that he doesn't want to let fans here it before it's finished? And now this?! Well, so now I can understand why he didn't want us to hear his stuff. He can't be serious to bring something like this after such a long time and don't even finish it. He has always been contradictory but he definitely stepped his contradiction game up with this one.
Damn, I hope he didn't laced Cube with such a beat for his album.
-
hahah fucc the critics..this shit got a dark ass feel to it. bangin ass beat. finished or not Dre is still the best producer in the game.
-
beat is weird but PROPS to Dr.Dre for The Creole at the end of his verse!!!!!!!! Nou la!!!
-
I guarantee if this track was properly released finished and in CDQ 99% of the people in here would have a whole different opinion and would once again be on Dre's dick
or maybe it's just Jay-Z and if Snoop or Game had a verse this would be something "new and innovational" for the West ::)
-
yeah
and best part bout shutterbug is the endin....the box is mad dope
he thought jay-z was his savoir? haha

Lol. I agree. Blood Money for the win.
-
this shit is wack :-X
-
Ok, so first listen I was like mmm, because it was not what I was expecting, but after playing it about 5 times it's like ok, I get it,
it uses a Kraftwerk sample, it's like 2010 Kraftwerk jawn and that is ill if you know your music!
A finished, huge mixed version of this will be HUUUUGE in clubs and radio
-
Being honest?? I'd like the track if it wasn't the detox
single. I dont know what I was expecting but not this.
Saying that the beat will be banging in cdq.
And another thing Dre and Jay sound good on the same track no homo
-

-
reminds me of Jigga's song forgot the title, it has Beanie Siegal on it, anyway not bad, i guess a mastered version could sound dope
-
well.. this isn't for detox I read somewhere that it's for his headphones or laptop or what ever he has.
-
beat is weird but PROPS to Dr.Dre for The Creole at the end of his verse!!!!!!!! Nou la!!!
U heard that too? Dre repping/shouting out Haiti hard on that part. Let me find out Dre got Wyclef on the Detox. lol
Man screw the internet. lol. They confused. Especially yall west coast cats. Yall hate on this track but the #1 record in the country is from a westcoast artist, anthem and it's a track like this. Dre on the right track.
That's why the west will NEVER get back in position.
-
This is real. Dre's been thinking of going the techno route with DETOX. That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days. "I Dominate" was a dance record like this... although "I Dominate" was better than this, imo.
Annnnddddd this is what music has become reduced to. Let's do techno-ish rap, because that is what everyone else is doing. Dre went against the grain with the Chronic. He went against the grain with 2001. And now, due to pressures to conform, he's just going to make techno rap that is 'better' than what is out there right now.
If Dre just did what he wanted... the album would be praised for uniqueness... a-la college dropout... oh wait what dre wants is to be considered the best hip-hop producer of all time, which explains him doing this techno shit...
I actually really like this song. But it sucks that hes doing this record cuz he thinks it will sell, not cuz it's what he wants to.
Am I hearing Slim tha Mobster on this??? I coulda sworn I heard him here and there.
This beat actually does not sound finished at all. It feels too sparse. All of Dre's more recent beats have felt very full/fat.
I wonder if the Math leaked this... if this was leaked by a random, against Dre's wishes, then we can probably kiss detox goodbye.
-
yeah thats got to be it....this is like free music....i mean gettin jay-z on your song is the last thing you want to do...hes wack
well.. this isn't for detox I read somewhere that it's for his headphones or laptop or what ever he has.
-
beat is weird but PROPS to Dr.Dre for The Creole at the end of his verse!!!!!!!!
Its Dubcc they will always hate... although this is not finished and not detox ready , this song is cool for what it is
-
Ok, so first listen I was like mmm, because it was not what I was expecting, but after playing it about 5 times it's like ok, I get it,
it uses a Kraftwerk sample, it's like 2010 Kraftwerk jawn and that is ill if you know your music!
A finished, huge mixed version of this will be HUUUUGE in clubs and radio
so its dope because of the who he sampled? GTFOH!!
If you like Kraftwerk or like early hip-hop like Planet Rock, then I think it's easy to dig it because it's an updated version
I mean if you were never into that stuff, then yeah, you're gonna find this mad wack lol
-
yeah thats got to be it....this is like free music....i mean gettin jay-z on your song is the last thing you want to do...hes wack
well.. this isn't for detox I read somewhere that it's for his headphones or laptop or what ever he has.
I don't like Jay Z alot but he's far from wack. Get over yourself.
Anyway, I'd kinda like Ya Boy to rap over this. It would suit him.
-
i take it "Topless" with Nas and TI isn't in the picture anymore? shame, i like that song
-
First off, I want to hear this finished & on his headphones.
Secondly, I think the beat is a bit is odd for Dre, but at the same time it's fresh & I can certainly bump.
A little short though, no? ???
In the end, I like it. 8)
EDIT: Jay-Z came correct too.
-
whats so special about him?
here hes on this track whatever its for....whats so special about him?
face wackest verse is better than jay-z best
so jay isnt far from wack....thats his best homie

beat sucks
But what is all this hate for Jay-Z all of a sudden? I didn't see anyone complaining when they were collaborating on 2001 and everything they've done throughout the years. Speaking on wanting another "Still Dre." This definitely ain't it, but they got the featuring Jay-Z part right considering that he wrote the lyrics for Still Dre. ;D
-
At the end of the day people, this is new dr.dre and its not everyday or even every year you can say you got yourself some new dre to bump. its what everyone on heres been crying for, for years.
CDQ will be good if it ever leaks, yeh it aint the best track but its def a grower, needs another dre verse though.
-

Jay can be hit or miss. Most of the time hit. I don't like him but I can see why people
do. He isn't wack though. I don't see why u have to compare all
the time ???
-
if they would have made a still dre 2010 version then yeah but fuck is this?
and muffuccaz been hatin on jay forever....look thru the millions of threads...and this is another reason to hate on him
why not hate on one of the most overrated rappers of all time?
the wackest and weakest get compared to the best, why?
cuz the best arent out there sayin they are the best but the best are sayin they are the dopest
beat sucks

Hate on this song all you want. I agree with you, it sucks. But why are you hating on Jay? He didn't make the beat, Dre did. So blame Dre. Do you honestly think a Snoop feature would make this song sound any better? What's so special about Jay-Z? Well, he has multiple classic albums for one. Most rappers can't say that. Is he the greatest? Fuck no. But to say he's wack is delusional. A wack rapper couldn't make Reasonable Doubt, couldn't come out with the Blueprint, couldn't come out with the Black Album. I have a strong feeling the majority of this hate comes because of his popularity.
Not sure what else you're trying to say, but as far as claiming he's the best, every rapper does that. What's the point in rapping if you don't think you're the shit? Jay-Z thinking he's the greatest, or fans thinking he's great, doesn't make his music any less dope. Why do you let that influence your opinion? You're basing your opinion of Jay-Z off of what other people think.

you feelin this cham?
Stop complaining about the beat; welcome to 2010.
I can't lie, it kind of took me by surprise; I didn't expect this.
Overall, it's not going to be remembered as a "classic Hip Hop song", but it's without a doubt a chill song to bump; I think the finished version will sound real good in the system.
Also, it won't make Detox right? So who cares? lol.
-
aite fair enough
1.jay-z needs to be taken off
2.dre needs to get rid of that drunk flow...lol
3.keep reppin the westside
4.but yeah this is some lady gaga shit
5.its still better than anythin jim jones, gucci, t.i. are makin....but this isnt the dretox weve been waitin for

this is seriously it?
Oh man, disappointing. Is this suppose to be Dre's homage to his Wreckin Cru days?
-
Stop complaining about the beat; welcome to 2010.
Wtf are you on? Beats make or break a dre song. He's not a Nas who can save a subpar beat by spitting classic inspirational lyrics. I'm not asking for G Funk, just some great production that goes. I would be satisfied with some of the type of shit he was doing for Eminem. But this would be weak even for those techno songs that bitches like. Speaking of which, bitches aren't going to be the ones picking up Detox, no matter what type of beat he makes. Dre needs to keep that in mind.
-
Stop complaining about the beat; welcome to 2010.
basically
-
no doubt a finished version will sound much to drastically better, but it's fair game to comment on what we have right here and the concept of it on the whole. it's pretty average and by dre standards, not very good. that new joell ortiz track feat. budden with an upbeat kind of vibe is better. and i could care less whether its 1995 or 2025, music is timeless. in this case, not so timeless.
-
this is seriously it?

Jay-Z is a great ghostwriter, just not a great rapper - big difference

i don't understand if this is meant to mean that music has gotten considerably worse in recent times or that one should accept it because of current trends. neither are valid excuses or considerations.
-
Oh you know what this is, I figured this shit out...
Who is the biggest selling hip-hop act at the moment, the group where people actually BUY the records instead of downloading for free?
That's right, the Black Eyed Peas... this is some Boom Boom Pow type of stripped down club joint with some catchy sayings to say along to in the club
Dre doesn't want to make typical hip-hop anymore because that's the type of music that gets illegally downloaded the most
-
They said a club joint. They right.
Cant wait to finished version.
This.
agreed

maybe its a relapse?

This is the worst shit Ive heard all year. This is something snoop dogg would make a sogn with lady gaga over. What the fuck is this trash?Dre is supposed to change the game, not conform to it.
Anyone who is feeling this might as well go bump lady gaga and justin bieber.

Don't lie, you are asking for G Funk; if it was your call, that's what you'd want/ask for.
It's not even for Detox, correct? So who gives a fuck? Face it, everyone whose hating on this song just expected way too much; i knew with Jay-Z of all people this wouldn't be mind blowing, it's average; but what are you going to do? Write a formal letter of hate to Dre? If you don't like, don't listen.
I didn't expect this beat, but this is what sells in 2010, not some crazy, banging, "2001"-type sounding beat; I'd love to hear that too, but it's not what we got...ohhh wellllll.
btw, it needs a hook. :P
-
Man 10 years its finally real.
This what no one expected but it is a hot club type track. But we all know that Dre will hook us up for what we are all clucking for on detox.
Cant wait for leak 2.
DetoX
-
Bullshit Beat. Sounds like something u can do on Fruity Loops
Also is it sorta weird the Doctor Pepper Commercial beat he did sounds way more like a banger then this???
Oh well since it leaked, it probably going to just get discarded, so no use in even talking shit. Guess I'll just say this.
Just because it's 2010 doesn't mean u should accept a Inferior peace of work. No matter how bad the music industry has gotten, there should still at the very least be some standard. If this is the Standard, then I guess Dr. Dre is at the top of the game, but I guess it doesn't matter when being on top is the Equivalent of a mole hill, instead of a Mountain.
Peace niggaz
-
The beat bangs!
i can appreciate this for what it is. and unfinished version missing a hook etc etc. I just hope they release the full version. even if they dont use it for Detox. Give people something!
-
i can appreciate this for what it is.
Thank you lol.
Just because it's 2010 doesn't mean u should accept a Inferior peace of work.
True, let's send the leak back to Dre & say it's not good enough lol.
I'm not saying, "OMG this is fantastic!"; it's an average song I can bump & enjoy at a club that you guys are hating on because it's not your typical Dr. Dre.
If this was Drake featuring Jay-Z, it would get a pass, but since it's Dre & you guys expect some instant classic shit, it's "the worst song ever" lol.
99% of you guys are brainwashed anyway, you can hate on this all you want, but you alllllllll know you'll come running back, dying for new Dre when he says it's coming.
-
compare this to songs like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWJqt0u_TCs&feature=related
you cant be happy
i vastly prefer lady gaga feat. beyonce - telephone over this and i'm not kidding
-
but cham isnt that a good thing that more is expected of dre than jay-z/drake?
they are wack he isnt....why is that a bad thing?

I just told you I'm not asking for G Funk. Now you're telling me what I want? Em sold off the production of Relapse. I would be satisfied if he went in that direction, as long as it sounds good. But this is just bad, even for the techno music he is trying to cater to.
You must be on something if you think techno is gonna sell. Do you honestly believe the 12 year old kids who like techno hip hop are going to be checking for this? From all accounts, whenever a west coast rapper tries to go pop it ends in an epic fail. Snoop, Game ring a bell? That's realism right there. Dre trying to make music like Drake would be a terrible mistake for him to make, both artistically and financially. Not only would he massively disappoint all those expecting him to "save the west", but he will fail to gain the interest of the younger generation. If he can't come with some next level shit then at least come with some great production.
Jay-Z can sell an album off of songs like Empire State of Mind, Run This Town and DOA. This was less than a year ago. No reason Dre can't either without caving in and making crap techno songs.

Fine, bump it. But don't pretend like you aren't disappointed. And don't assume it won't be on Detox. And if you don't care then why are you in this thread defending an inferior song?
Bottom line is, if Jay-Z makes a weak song its not big news because the guy puts out an album every year. But Dr. Dre has released two albums his whole career, all on account of his perfectionist attitude and delaying shit time and time again to make a classic. OF COURSE the reaction is going to be different.
-
A whole decade waiting for Dr Dre's new secret hip-hop sound and it turns out to be a shameful wack cheesy techno/house beat, nigga you crazy?!
Shame, shame, shame.
and shame on Jay-Z's pathetic ghostwork too..."I should be ducking these clubs, Tiger Woods" :P
Hope this gets major hate and knocks Dre back to his senses.
Boo the Doctor.

I'll be doing the same when Detox leaks too

eh, I like it. I'm sure it'll pound in CDQ
this is not classic music, though. I'll be surprised if its still hot in a year.
hopefully they add a chorus to the final

shit bangs fuck yall! thanks for the remastered tha crip! cchhhuuuchh!

First of all, this leak to me is no different from all the other supposed "Detox" leaks over the past decade or so. "Topless" etc. Why is this all of a sudden a legitimate Detox record? lol People just accept this stuff at face value for some reason. It could be just another here today, gone tomorrow leak to sell headphones.
I actually like the beat. True, if this were 1995, it wouldn't even make it out of the lab, but in 2010 hip hop is dead and this is what passes for hip hop nowadays. Dre left the streets 25 years ago and he left his prime 15 years ago, so I'll take what we can get from him at this point. All I want is Michael Jordan on the Wizards type quality from Dre. This is basically on par with that to me.
It's a nice, anonymous leak from who knows where. I just take these things as they come along.
-
This is real. Dre's been thinking of going the techno route with DETOX. That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days. "I Dominate" was a dance record like this... although "I Dominate" was better than this, imo.
wtf. I Dominate leaked ? ::)
No. But I've heard it.
Can you prove it? Cause uuh.. I got the keys and pass to Dre's VAULT! Can you top that? lol
I don't need to prove anything to you. If you don't believe me, than you don't believe me. There are members here that can vouch for me.
Anybody who CANNOT prove shit always says somethin like that. Prove SOMETHING. just ANYTHING. a picture with Bishop Lamont doesnt prove anything. ?
Well, I've been posting exclusive news on him and the camp for years before it was ever released. I'm not going to leak anything without permission.... just keep your ear out for "Blow Yo' Mind" featuring Xzibit in the next couple of days.
Rebel, word? What's the next movement with Bishop Lamont?
-
Finished or not, real or not, the beat bangs. I see this blowing up the club.

The more music dre releases the better off he'll be
-
after a couple of listens i seriously don't think this will make the cut. sounds way unfinished and just boring as hell and dre sounds weird.
i hope they scrap this one.
-
This beat is crazy weak , and it gets worse when we hear Dre speak .. THIS IS NOT A SINGLE according to Aftermathmusic.com . Plus , Eminem's album isn't even out yet . They wouldn't put Dre out now.
-
i think the beat is hot. wasnt esther dean supposed to be doin background vocals on this??? i dont think i heard her...
-
I guarantee u that shit wont be on detox!!! Its sounds unfinished and dont sound like a hit single!!!! Fuuck NO!!!!!!!! Its fake!!!! Under Pressure??? I didnt even hear that title anywhere in the song??? Or the Hook??? Its surely fake!!!
-
Did someone take an acapella and mix some shitty 1989 techno shit in with it?
WTF is this?
-
Is this how techno music sounds? :-\ ???
The beats bouncy, the drums bang but its not better than alot of the stuff out there its tryna be like. Jayz sounds live on it no doubt. It just aint what we're used to hearing off dre. I know he tryna make a sound he aint done before, but why try and make a sound thats been done before in hiphop already? But just not by dre and its not even as good. Dre sounds horrible, he sounds blunt. Jayz sounds alot more engergetic.
Cats like timbaland who do this twenty times as good are probably laughing hard at the moment if this is how dre was planning on coming back. I aint even hating, it does NOT suck, it aint a bad track, its something which would def get spins in a club BUT it aint nothing close to classic material. Dres tryna go in da club route tryna make something big like that. Not that theres anything wrong with that because when in da club gets put on spin in clubs to this day come summer, cats still wild out to it but this...:\ ...this be some...stale sorta shit. I'm just dissapointed moreso because its a dre track than the actual track. If dre did this for jay-z..i wouldnt be so mad....id be like yo this aite...but if dre was thinking about using this as his first single for detox...then nawww...its aite...just not on some next shit aite you know?! lol niggaz dont wait ten years for a limp track...
Best thing about the track is the drum pattern, it goes really well with the main body of the joint, but it aint nothin major...
Still dre/next episode shiiit alllll over this.
Dre needs to get them muthafuckin heatrocks out...but when dre was serious/possibly is serios about this being his first single...im a little worried about what else he got...lol...
All i will say is that this could be big...how big...i don't know...Another club jam could easily take the shine off this even from a noname nigga, it aint a classic sounding joint!
The guitar sort of melody of the beat reminds me of an old busta joint but that was quicker and busta went gully on it and it still got love in clubs...this shit is generic on a whole next level...but yo just 'MAYBE' this could be huge lol...dre and jigga...thats alot of corporate niggaz power right there

This is way below my expectations i hope this is a joke
-
^^^Pretty much and this coming from someone who dont even think this is wack. I think its got potential to be BIG but its just not what i was kinda lookin for.
I was expecting some next new sorta funk for a club. Like when still dre hit the clubs, like when next episode hit the clubs, like when in da clubs hit the clubs. This if he serious about it will be big i got doubt, but it won't be in the same category as those just mentioned
-
Shitty!
-
This song is polarizing, I think people will either love it or hate it.
My reaction is ???
-
Akon: "He played it for me. I was shocked. I was like, 'Wow, that's dope!' When the world hear this, they might go crazy!"
OKAY
-
Akon: "He played it for me. I was shocked. I was like, 'Wow, that's dope!' When the world hear this, they might go crazy!"
OKAY
dj quick "he's remixing chopin and symphony stuff, insanity !"
-
Played it about 5 times it's ok nuten crazy. I wan a hear the finished version and I'll judge it then.
-
I'm lovin it. 8) Jay-Z's verse it hot and I think Dre's flow is on point. I can see it gettin spins on the radio and the club.
If nothing else, Dre has gotten tons of buzz of this leak.
-
jay z killed that shit dre came kinda weak.
-
this is horrible
-
To be honest...
Interscope, Aftermath, Dre, Jimmy, everyone claiming (and that's litterly everyone who heard it) that it was the next best thing since sliced bread...are you for real?
It's supposed to be DRE who revolutionizes everything with his sound...not him trying to sound like all the other current shit...i'm sorry but for Dre's/Detox's standards....this is just pathetic.
Now, in terms of just a rap song in general, it is very decent. If this was anyone else, I would have probably thrown it straight to the recycling bin.
That being said, it will probably do amazing if fixed up/mixed and officially released. I know it's Detox/Dre/Jay, but still, what's that say about the state of music?
-
I don't care if Dre is revolutionary but at least have it be quality. This doesn't sound fresh. It's boring.
-
This shit aint amazing, but I reckon that beat goes, shit would go off in the clubs, that big ass synth/bassline sound is ill.
Jay sounds dope on this, don't see the hate but it is what it is, Dre doesn't sound that ill, and he's one of my favourite spitters voice and delivery wise.
Interested in seeing how the final product works out, but I can fuck with it atm so sall good.
-
What I don't get is how some of you are excusing this song by saying its probably not a detox single. Hello? This is Dre we are talking about. This a song from a producing legend, the guy with the perfectionist attitude who barely releases anything. Whether its for Detox or for promotional purposes, I think we all should be expecting something way better than this. At the very least let it be something I can call dope. So you're telling me out of all this supposedly "classic" music in the Dre vault, he chooses to leak a half ass attempt at techno hip hop? How is this supposed to excite anyone or promote anything?
-
I cant believe I fuckin waited 10 years for this bullshit......SMH
like seriously, what the fuck, i mean its catchy and all, but all that hype, FOR THIS????
Also, what the fuck, Dre wants to do dance records now?? Cuz Jimmy told him that's what's in?? FUCK THAT, what happened to changing the whole game with a new sound everytime his album drops??? Now hes the one following trends???? damn, I guess this is what happens when you really are UNDER PRESSURE, hahaha
-
they should rename this song to focus group created single # 16
-
Not bad.
My Problem is that this new ghostwriting thing.Dre dont sounds like Dre,he sounds like random artist who write it.thats fucked up

I think we all should be expecting something way better than this.
We do, but just because it's not as good as we expected, doesn't automatically make it worse than it actually is lol.
If we all expected a 5/5 & it unfortunatley was a 3/5, that doesn't mean it's a 1/5 for letting us down lol.
Like I said, if this was another artist, it wouldn't get the hate; even though going through the thread, it's getting a fair amount of love & hate.
I mean, if you really feel this way about it, why don't you just give up on Detox & never write about it again? :P
But like I also said before, you know when Dre comes back & says "Oh I got more you, here's a whole album" you're going to run back. You said it yourself, he isn't going to attract the youngsters, he's got his loyal fanbase; so why does he "need" to attract anybody with this when you know you're all going to to running back to him when the album drops anyway?
You know how it works now-a-days, everybody hears the album AT LEAST five times on the internet before they even get the chance to buy it in stores; it doesn't matter what he puts out because you're checking the album everybody's been waiting on regardless & if he "surprises you" after disappointing you here, you're still going to cop it; you won't look back & say "I'm not coppin' because of some street single he put out months ago that isn't even on the album, even though this album is magical" lol.
-
lol....
Detox should be released as a triple disc.
#1-Pop Shit.
#2-Experimental shit with weird features.
#3-West Coast Disc With Only the usual DR.Dre artists featured.
This way I can throw away the first 2 and keep the third.

Crooked I - Under Pressure Freestyle

Damn, props; Crooked killed this. :o
Shoulda been a third features on this, especially since it's so short.
-
This is not even average..it's the type of shit first time amature producers and rappers make with the "yes men" in the back saying it's hot. this is like some shit found in the beat forums. sounds like some old neptunes or scoot storch shit. thank god the new quik is dropping this year.
-
"I want to set the record straight for everybody who's been waiting to hear my music. The song that's on the internet is an incomplete song that I'm still working on. When it's ready, you'll be hearing it from me."

I only read the first three pages and this one, i seen mostly negative feed back but personally i think its sounds dope.
I like it, something differant and not in a bad way, and no i dont like techno. I think the raps sounded good and the beat and i like what they were saying.
I can relate to the song with the battle of not being able to stop and treating everyday like the weekend(lol. To some extent anyhow.
I agree that theres better rappers than jay-z for the song but theres certernly worse.
-

What makes you think this isn't going to be on the album? Maybe its not a single, but there's no indication this isn't for Detox. Plus I don't recall there being any "street singles" for any of his previous projects. Why would he waste an entire collaboration with Jay-Z on a song that's not going to be released?
And I honestly don't know why you like this or think its even average. This is worse than average. I would rate it a 2/5, and that's being generous because Dre's on it, the instrumental is horrible to me. How can you like this and shit on the songs Game has made? If this was at least a decent song I wouldn't be hating on it as much, but it is far far below my expectations.
Even if this isn't on the album, its still a major disappointment. ANY new song from Dre is supposed to be dope, seeing as how he's been delaying his music for 10 years. This is the song he chooses to leak to gain excitement? How is a weak song supposed to promote his album? Dre isn't supposed to be the kind of artist to leak half ass attempts at techno. And I call it "attempt" because its weaker than the songs from the producers who actually make this kind of music.
-
This is not even average..it's the type of shit first time amature producers and rappers make with the "yes men" in the back saying it's hot
word, no idea why Cham thinks its even decent. Its not a good look when the fake dre tracks are better than the real thing
-
:P i don't think i'll play this again.
there must be better stuff in the vault
-
As far as this is concerne, being unfinished and what not. I go back and look at 50's "I Get It In" and the difference between the first leaked version, and then the final product (Beat wise). Hopefully when this is finished, and we hear it. It will dope 8)
We'll just have to wait...... even longer.
-
If this is the single, when it actually comes out in stores will it come with bonus glow sticks? LOL
This is bullshit! If Dre waited 10 years and felt this was his strongest song then homeboy needs to wait another 10 years and come with some real shit. I was expecting to hear Brittany Spears or Miley Syrus to come in bustin' after Jay-Z, LOL. This track is so bad all I can do is laugh. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad song if it was to come out on a Brittany Spears or Miley Syrus album for example but for it to be on DETOX! Oh hell no, fuck outta here with that! I rather Dre never make another album than to make one full of techno music. But it figures, back when he started he was making dance music with the World Class Wrecking Crew and shit then Eazy stepped in and made him gangster. So if Dre chooses to back to his roots and make techno/dance music and wear lipstick and tight ass sweaters and shit then that's on him, if he wants to go out making garbage and disappoint his long time fans then oh well; it's a damn shame. But seriously, I highly doubt this song or anything like it will be on Detox...so why they choose to leak it? Who knows. And another thing, it doesn't matter if this song isn't finished, missing a hook or not mixed and mastered, the only thing finishing it is going to do is to make it a complete piece of crap. Who cares if the drums bang harder, if the track sounds clearer or if there is a hook in between versus... Dre and Jay-Z Still sound out of place on the track, it's still a bad song for Dre and Jay-Z standards. They need to scrap the vocals and just sell the beat to some pop singer and let them do their thing to it, it'll be a much better song if that's the sort of music you're into. I never, ever, rip something this bad if I don't like it but for me this song is inexcusable...

The beat is fresh, you just need to expand your musical tastes, I suppose lol.
not to mention...

I'm sure Dre will come back with this in a few months, add another verse, come up with a hook, tighten the beat up a little bit & maybe not for you, but it should then be enough for it to please the people.
Not to even get into that he likely has people reading what people like us are saying & he'll come back with some shit to turn the haters into supporters.
Too optimistic? Maybe, but what are you going to do? Sit here & complain or take what you got? In the end we're all going to hear Detox, regardless.
-
How is the beat fresh? It sounds like a random cheap local artists attempt at making a club song.

It's not fresh, it sounds like an amateur made it. The main melody especially is what kills the song. It sounds like something I could come up fooling around on fl studio.

if sub par is acceptable then what the fuck is the point of waiting for Detox?? If it ain't dope, its not worth listening to.Fan criticism is how artists know what works and what doesn't. How the hell else would they know? Do you think Eminem would be calling his own accent crap if the fans hadn't said so? If Dre has people reading our responses, then even better reason for us to be complaining about it. And better we do it now then after the album drops and has already failed. You defending this and pretending like its good certainly isn't doing anything to help.
-
Not bad.
My Problem is that this new ghostwriting thing.Dre dont sounds like Dre,he sounds like random artist who write it.thats fucked up
He's always had a ghostwriter
i know that.just now Dre sound's wierd. One crack a bottle he sounds like eminem, here he sounds like jigga.thats what im saying :-X
-
WTF is this?!
Damn, I hope he didn't laced Cube with such a beat for his album.
i'm quite sure it wasn't Dre who leaked the unfinished version.
probably someone from the label

yea but not like these days..thats wack

Stop complaining about the beat; welcome to 2010.
well Dre dropped another one on Eminem's album and that one shits on this.
that's because it has the Dre sound.
Under pressure is Dre trying to fit in.
Stop complaining about the beat; welcome to 2010.
basically
i don't understand if this is meant to mean that music has gotten considerably worse in recent times or that one should accept it because of current trends. neither are valid excuses or considerations.
well put!

Let's do the math, 10 years for an unfinished song means we'll get the full version in about 5 years that's 15 years for the entire track and 10 tracks on detox should mean that it will be released in 2150

First of all don't talk about Techno/House/Electro music if you don't know shit about it. The beat is kinda like a dance record (drum pattern), but way slower. It's 100 BPM to be exactly. For example "Hip Hop Hooray" is also 100BPM. A real Electro/House/Techno song is at 126-133 BPM.
You can hear that the hook doesn't exist for now. It's only a loop, Dre and his team will finish it with extra melodies for sure and a dope hook hopefully. I have a feeling this will be BIG. I like it because I never heard Dre do this before. I really like it ! What David Guetta/BEP and Lady Gaga are doing is different. This right hear still has that hip hop feeling, simlpy because it's slower. You can actually spit a hell of a verse over it as Crooked showed us with the Freestyle.
For now it's a solid 4/5. Can't wait for Detox!
-
well i hope the final version has more of a dre sound to it. as it is, my man DANJA wins for the best electronic influenced beats, ten times over. anyone who's feeling this should go listen to all the tracks danja has produced.

I agree with you! Like this shit! And remember: It's the UNFINISHED track! It's missing a dope hook and extra cool melodies. Anyone remembers the first version of What's The Difference that leaked back in '98 featuring Hittman instead of Xzibit? The version on the 2001 album was A LOT better with more sounds added to it!!! This will be the case with this track also.

Dre needs to work on his vocals and flow and put a Snoop verse on this one :). I cant say this is sth I expected but since its unfinished like Dre says Ill just wait until I drop my thoughts:)
Oh yeaa Crooked killed it, flows great and lyrics like allways-fire.

First of all, people can talk about whatever they want and their opinions matters just as much as yours. It´s called freedom of speech, look it up. Of course you can speak your opinion of music genres you´re not normally into without having deep insight into it. Ridicoulus statement.
Secondly, I love how you Dr. Dre fanboys justify everything he does like it´s the gospel. If this track was produced or featured anyone not Dre related you would BASH IT TO DEATH.
Face it, this track blows the big one and Dr. Dre should be ashamed to release this shitparade after letting the fans wait for 10 fucking years.

instrumentation reminds me a lot of an earlier scott storch beat > timati feat. nox - get money http://www.mediafire.com/?jqiihtztncn

I don't think its bad. Not mind blowing but still good. Interested to see what the finished things like. Some people are just butt heart cause this doesn't sound like G Funk but times are changing and Dre doesnt want to make an album for the 90s.

times have changed i mean Dre is gonna have to come out with better sound than that foreals i mean that aint gangsta west coast shit if anyone is still makin shit for the west its Daz an Soopafly, Dj Quik . That beat is garbage fuck jayz too i mean dre needs to fuck with the west coast artist stop jumpin on the bandwagon i dont care when he releases DETOX no fuckin body in the music game makes you wait 10 years for a fuckin album get over yourself homie you used to be sick you aint that tight no more times change an this goes to show you its gonna be crap!
-
What? Crooked did a verse on this beat? . Link!

how fuckin amazing.. Thank you so very much!
-
I like it. Dre's voice seems to be different, but at least it's not a version with the ghost-writer still on the track.
Coarse, this is obviously unfinished but I can manage 8).
Edit: That Crooked I freestyle is straight fire!
-
Since emotions are gone i can see whats the track really about. And i still dont like what Dre is doin, i dont say its a bad track at all, but its not hip-hop. Not only the hip-hop we used to, but its not at all. If thats the way Dre is goin right now i dont feel it. I can see it bein a popular track, but hell no its somethin i expected. Well maybe Dre has a point and the finished version will actually sound with sense. I hope so.
I didnt look through whole topic so i dont know did they reply. But i wanna see 'Detox is a myth''s and 'It's Wayne Drady Bitch''s opinions, since they was claimin that 'Detox' isnt a real album. I wonder will they be men enought to say they were wrong, or will they make ridicioulus storys, that Dre started making the album when he saw their posts to prove that they're wrong lol..
-
It sounds decent, just needs to be finished.. I wonder what they'll do for the chorus. I don't think this is TOO different coming from Dre and Storch. Kinda reminds me of their work on Busta's "Break Ya Neck".

The song is not satisfactory! I don't see this song being big, maybe in some gay parade in France but that's it.
-
This song is wiggety wick wack. Maybe the finished version will be better cause Crooked I ripped that loop! God damn!
-
take dre of this shit and let jay do the whole track
-
Ten pages of people analyzing a 2:29 long, unfinished song. Only Dre could do this. And people wonder why he is a perfectionist and takes forever to put out music. Everybody expects him to match the high standards set by his previous two albums. He has a legacy to protect. This song will be huge once it is mixed right and finished. So will Detox.
-
People need to realise that however you imagined detox to sound its not going to be anything like that.
Dre has spent so long making this album everybody is expecting something that is going to amaze them the first time they hear it.
Listen to it without any expectations if thats possible. With that said i like the beat, when its mastered i imagine it will sound real crisp, Dre's verse is dope but i aint really feeling Jay Z's verse.
-
I think Bishop Lamont might have ghost wrote Dre's verse. It sounds a lot like how Bishop would flow.
-
most of y all are hating too much, ok you're very dissapointed, fine. But dont act like the track is total trash...
It will not put the clubs on fire like "next episode" had been doing for 10 years and going, thats for sure. But still, its banging, its a nice club song. Maybe it will last only 6 months in clubs, like crooked says in intro. Crooked I is the man for jumping on it the day it leaked.
It reminds me a very little of "stronger" by kanye, or "touch it" by busta. Just cause they are lead singles which have an electro sample.
under pressure >>> crack a bottle to me
In comparison to "shit popped off", "this is detox", "topless" what do you think of the new track ? All are dope to me...
-
Some of y'all do need to expand you musical horizons for sure, but this aint nothing special. It def aint no 2/5 shit either though. The beat aint wack, it makes your head nod, its def got that club vibe to it, but its made TOO purposely for the club you know. Its to obvious. Like the one 1-2 about the main melody which makes your head go forward n back, the 1-2 which in a club jus makes u jus get next to a lady and jus grind with a drink. Its all too predictable...not wack at all, but too predictable. Not something you do when you the biggest and most anticipated record in hiphop. I aint against dre coming with a club track for his first single, because thats jus how its going to be. Im expecting a smash hit anyway! He done it with chronic too. If some of the shit on that he dropped now which are classics, some of y'all would probably be calling that shit garbage as soon as y'all hear a woman on the hook or something, i know some of y'all get nervous when women come into the equation. lol. It def shits all over crack a bottle but i think some of y'all want dre to make some sorta shit he makes when he works with eminem or 50 cent.
I would hate dre to be making some sorta shit for detox sound wise he makes for eminem. Dre better never be on that white boy shit for his own jams. Dre need to keep bringing that nigga noize, thats how he do it, he better keep to it. Its apparently unfinished right now but i don't see how this could be switched up too much. The main body won't change much at all. Its done. I think dre tried to make it simplistic and catchy but dre forgot one of the main things which makes his beats stand out from the rest (in the past, he aint been on top for more than a minute now even if he the best) was the effects and the crazy shit he added to his simplistic melodies. This like an additional dre production joint. lol, the drums are bangin tho. Oh and that synth is horrible, it sounds cheap.
It aint wack though, its jus not amazing or anything.
Oh and pushing it with ti and thicke is nicer than this, that got one of the flyest hooks i heard in a minute

i feel all of those u mention more than this.. i was tryin to find somethin nice in it, couse dre had to make a point on it, but damn i still dont feel it, topless, this is detox and shit popped off had the real hip-hop soundin in it, i think dre was tryin to go away from it, to make somethin totally new, but if he made a whole album like that, its a miss for me.. times are changin, u can tell it clearly from music, if u compare 'next episode' to that, u can see it even clearier, i have nothin against new styles/ne ways in music, it worked with dre's first 2 albums, '2001' was totally new and it was nice, but not this time dre..
-
I don't think its bad. Not mind blowing but still good. Interested to see what the finished things like. Some people are just butt heart cause this doesn't sound like G Funk but times are changing and Dre doesnt want to make an album for the 90s.
aren't there more than two options?
like using Dre's 'current' sound for Detox?
-
sounds like "trouble" by Jay Z to me. It's not the first time dre is touching that electro/timbo vibe.
There was Higher by game too which was suposed the first official single at the time it dropped, if i remember well. But higher was more innovative in my opinion.
"How we do it over here" by busta and missy was also a pure club track by Dre which ended up being only an album cut.
So its not so much of a change in dre's style. He has been making electro/club tracks like this before. Probably inspired by Timbo's huge success the last years. It's just that dre is not that good for this type of tracks. He can't f***k with a timbaland/danja at this game.
He's better for more laid back club tracks, dark cinematic tracks or innovative out of space crazy stuff (relapse)
remember your own words dre : "slow is better " !!
-
The beat is fresh, you just need to expand your musical tastes, I suppose lol.
It's not fresh, it sounds like an amateur made it. The main melody especially is what kills the song. It sounds like something I could come up fooling around on fl studio.
Not to even get into that he likely has people reading what people like us are saying & he'll come back with some shit to turn the haters into supporters.
Too optimistic? Maybe, but what are you going to do? Sit here & complain or take what you got? In the end we're all going to hear Detox, regardless
if sub par is acceptable then what the fuck is the point of waiting for Detox?? If it ain't dope, its not worth listening to.Fan criticism is how artists know what works and what doesn't. How the hell else would they know? Do you think Eminem would be calling his own accent crap if the fans hadn't said so? If Dre has people reading our responses, then even better reason for us to be complaining about it. And better we do it now then after the album drops and has already failed. You defending this and pretending like its good certainly isn't doing anything to help.
First off, it's not even finished; you want to say that he's some "perfectionist", well then why would you doubt him now?
FACE THE FACTS, man. You're just mad that it's not what you expected it to be. Jay-Z comes correct, the beat isn't a "Dre beat", but it's not "terrible"; & again it's unfinished.
& who cares if it's "worth listening to"? You know damn well you're going to listen to it regardless lol. Did you also notice that Eminem put out an entire album with the accent before he realized the fans hated it? So why wouldn't we get Detox the way it looks now?
& calling it an average, 3/5 song is defending it? On what planet? I'm just not hating on it lol.
The sooner you guys realize you only hate the beat because it's not what you wanted from the man, the better.

LMAO! :D First of all, homey, don't be lazy. Go through the thread and read my reaction to this song. You might be surprised to see what I wrote. Second of all, this is just another leaked song from Aftermath. You telling me LeBron James was jamming to an unfinished, unmixed Dre song in Fenway Park last month? Get out of here! Either Dre has a finished version that LeBron was listening to and this unfininshed version was intentionally leaked for some reason (and we know what the real reason was), OR LeBron was bumping his head to an unfinished song! LOL if so. So Dre and Jimmy were hyping up an unfinished song in Fenway last month. LMAO. ;D :D
Nothing has changed. Dre himself has responded and said this is not a real, finished song. This is just another Internet leak.
BTW, part of the myth of Detox is this idea that Detox is going to put The Chronic to shame -- that it's going to be Dre's crown jewel that everyone remembers him by. Do you still think that's going to be the case after hearing this? I LIKE THIS SONG, but c'mon now, in 1992 this wouldn't have even been labelled hip hop music.
-

+1

Clearly unfinished but I'm not mad at this song at all. Dr. Dre being the perfectionist he is, I know this will be hot in it's finished form. People hated on Crack a Bottle & I Get It In when it leaked in it's unfinished form but once it came out finished mixed and mastered, people sung a different tune. This will be no exception.

yeah well i am lazy lolz.. anywho - the version that we have dont has to be the newest version, i actually dont think it is, the whole situation is weird at all, we dont know actually anything bout that leak, so its hard to tell.. but i highly doubt its the newest version, couse well 1. he wouldnt play unfinished track to Lebron 2. he announced it 2 months ago, what we have is an early draft, that would sound better even after just 1 week, not sayin bout 2 months, so it doesnt make sense
i dont see it as just another leak, its more official now, previous leaks was like ghost written tracks for detox that wasnt really meant for album and this one is/was..
u think too much bout dre bein an evil tactical genius.. hes a human, what u want from him?
-
here's a youtube link if anybody wants:

he wouldnt play unfinished track to Lebron
So then you're saying you think he has a finished version of this track which he gave LeBron. However, Dre just responded saying this song is unfinished and he's still working on this song.
In other words, you're saying Dre is lying to the fans in his response. That's sort of what I think -- that Interscope lies to the fans.
-
dont know what to say anymore to all these leaked allegedly detox tracks. all we've been doing all this time is hyping detox so much that when it finally hits it will never reach the expectations we have. fuck it though it's dre and its westcoast so its gonna be dope
-
I aint against dre coming with a club track for his first single, because thats jus how its going to be.
still d.r.e. wasn't a club track, and we are talking about 11 years ago.
why now,at 45 years old,he have to come back with a club single ?
-
If techno is the next evolution of hip-hop then we're doomed lol.. Oh well, we will always have the classics... *listens to" Keep Their Heads Ringin"*

there is a reason why he didnt release it 2 months ago.. and this reason can be dre wantin to change somethin in it.. other way i dont see any logic explanation to this.. including to what you are saying(well..).. but most logic dont have to be most real, the whole thing with this single is strange as shit, i dont know whats in dre's head, i never did
-
i think lebron had a finished version that dre wasnt satisfied with, probably the ester dean hook. Maybe he thought the hook wasnt good enough. I dont think dre is lying now. He's still working on it, looking for the best hook and mixing.

Fuck being a Dre beat, This beat isn't worthy of Timbaland or Pharrell. All the other tracks we've heard like Topless shit on this song. How the fuck are you pretending to like this???? It blows my mind. I used to come up with shit like this on FL Studio but I gave it up because I realized it was bad. And as far as it being unfinished, there's only so much mastering and mixing can do. If the main melody is shit the beat is gonna be shit, no matter how much you clean it up. I don't understand how this is even considered good to people. It seriously makes me cringe when I hear it. I know an average song when I hear it and this is far from it. 3/5 for this?? By giving this more than it is due you are undervaluing all the good but not great songs that exist.
Also, you ignored everything I said about criticism (which was based off a comment you made). If everyone was like you then Detox probably would sound like this cause Interscope would assume people liked this shit.

Im glad that Im not such the Detox head as some are on this forum, cuz this shit right here was not worth the many ''Detox this and that" threads that have been on this site. I mean c'mon, really, a decade of discussions for this? Jays verse was cool but Im not just feeling the beat. Reminds me of like being in a predominantly "white" Hollywood club. Not being racist but being in a predominantly "white" club and being in a predominantly "black" is to different worlds, off music alone.

You still fight over options of each other..damn ;D ;D

Who here is really surprised that Dre might be putting out a techno track/album? If you look back through his career, you will see that he has changed his production style several times. His music evolves over time, and that is why he stays relevant. Like it or not, Detox will sound nothing like his production on Straight Out of Compton, The Formula, The Chronic, Doggystyle, Chronic 2001, or Relapse. All of those albums (minus Relapse) started new trends in Hip Hop, and so will Detox.

You have a point except one important thing: Straight out of Compton, the chronic, doggystyle, 2001 etc. was AMAZING. "Under pressure" should be renamed "under the toilet lid", because it´s fucking shit.
-
I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!
-
Techno?? no, but mybe is not old Dre. But I like it.
-
j arrive pas a croire que Dr Dre nous ai fait un beat aussi pourri que ça c'est possible! En 2010 on nous sert vraiment de la merde et tout le monde trouve ça bien!!!

lol on parle anglais ici mec, il passe bien le son sérieux
another guy who thinks its trash, dre's gonna scrap detox when he sees the response to this track...
-
so Dre's just gonna go with the flow rather than starting a new trend? damn shame.
-
so the challenge of dre being to turn this mediocre, electronic influenced track into an epic, chart topping banger through 'next level mixing, detox drum sounds, garnishes and adding a hook' has been thrown down.
will be interesting to hear how much the final version improves on this. the 'crack a bottle' final beat was near identical save for some violin sounds and proper mixing but 'i get it in' was really worked over to the final version in terms of the beat. the final song was still pretty crappy though.
-
technically this is old Dre. Anyone remember his World Class Wreckin' Cru days?
-
disappointed, waiting to head the final version though.
-
What a fuck are u negative heads talking about? This shit bangs, and it aint even finish!!
Stop living in the past and welcome to the future!
Detox baby, it's coming!

no, thats not future.. thats todays mainstream.. i wanted to see dre's future sound, but thats NOT anything like that.. maybe rest of detox will be
-
Not liking what I'm hearing but if they kept playing it on the radio, I'm sure it'll grow on me.
Fuck this future Dre sound bs. People have their signature sound, this is not the Dre we know & love.

You keep talking about your fruity loop beats that are sicker than this one, show us a couple then, my bet is your up to fuck all
I deleted that shit and gave up on producing cause I knew they were wack. Go and listen to the amateurs on youtube putting up fake Dre beats. They sound better than this.
-
The beat is fresh, you just need to expand your musical tastes, I suppose lol.
You defending this and pretending like its good certainly isn't doing anything to help.

hell no, maybe ppl can make a better melody, but melody is just a part, dre got everything other.. thats why hes so good with storch, couse storch can actually make a good sound, and dre can polish it better than any1 else

And the Dre dickriding lives on...

Clean out your ears. Dre is capable of making great music. This ain't it. This is amateur shit. If a no-name came out with this beat you would be calling it trash. Stop making excuses for Dre.

This song sucks.plusthat it aint finished cry is very old now dre...hell i got beats 10xbetter than this pile of shit.and i fucks with dre but this?!!? ???
-
j arrive pas a croire que Dr Dre nous ai fait un beat aussi pourri que ça c'est possible! En 2010 on nous sert vraiment de la merde et tout le monde trouve ça bien!!!
Wii!
-
compare this to songs like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWJqt0u_TCs&feature=related
you cant be happy
i vastly prefer lady gaga feat. beyonce - telephone over this and i'm not kidding
i agree..Dre should just stick with producing them hiphop bangers.....i really think he way over his head this time..get mel-man,daz,soopafly back in the mix,and u got a winner..the people will follow then.
-

stop making blind arguments.. i said dre can do best mix/master and the rest - but we got unfinished version so i cant rate the mixing and all that, thats why this track sound like shit.. all we can hear is overall melody, which dre can't do (thats exactly what i said in previous post).. so what are you talkin bout?

so this is what we had to wait 10 years for ? the beat is bumpin but thats about it .
-
i don't believe that people were already anticipating Dre's 3rd soloalbum heavily, 10 years ago.
the hype came later
-
it would be great if they would drop snoop or somebody else on this hook part or a 3 verse from them.

snoop doesnt fit at all.. that would be tragedy
-
I'm pretty sure Dre will be scrapping most of this beat and starting over. A club beat is fine, it just needs to be a well-produced club beat. I'm cool with the featuring Jay-Z and Dr. Dre speaking spanish....as long as its over a dope beat. Not on some amateur shit.
And smh at people complaining about Jay-Z or the lyrics. You have a delusional perspective of what made Dre's other albums great.
Bitch niggaz paid for hoes, just to lay wit hoes
Relax one night, and paid to stay wit hoes
Captain Save'Em all day (bitch) well save this dick
Bitch nigga, you more of a bitch than a bitch
You ain't into hittin pussy, or hittin the switch
You into hittin bitches off of the grip, you punk bitch
Yeah....uh huh. Half the rappers on 2001 sleepwalked their way through the lyrics and it still ended up being a classic album. Because of the beats.
-
Atleast them lyrics from 2001 you posted had a cohesive theme behind them and thats hoes...jay-z's lyrics on this jam are all over the place just like most hip hop today.
-
so this track is on the new album? its straight ass.
-
i have no idea whats the thing behind ppl hating on Jay-z.. when there was announcment that the single will feature Jay, he was gettin the same hate hes gettin after droppin normal verse.. i cant get it
-
it would be great if they would drop snoop or somebody else on this hook part or a 3 verse from them.
snoop doesnt fit at all.. that would be tragedy
nope...youre wrong... i already checked it... it sounds nuts

hm i gave this track some extra litenes and still i dont hear snoop on it... or well there are 2 options, it'd sound tragic or completly insane, depends how dre would do this wit him

lmao..you serious? According to that logic Kurupt on XXplosive is better than Nas on NY State of Mind because he sticks to rapping about hoes. Hahahah.
Besides, Dre has certified classics that don't follow a specific theme. Nuthin But a G Thang, The Next Episode, Stranded on Death Row, etc.
-
its not so much about lyrics, more about the delivery
yea, Kurupts verse was wack when you look at it on paper, but the way he delivered that shit over a g'd up beat like Xxxplosive was crazy.
JayZ is just spitting some wack shit over a wack beat with no style
-

Like I said, Kurupt spit wack shit over a sick beat and it still is a good song. So why are people complaining about Jay-Z when they should be complaining about the beat?
-
Dre sounded like shit and his lyrics were shit, jay z had a HORRIBLE verse using lame drake style punchlines AND the beat was horrible.Everything about this song is atrocious.
-
LMFAO, this shit is just PATHETIC
"Detox" is the most overrated and overhyped 'album' in music history

omg u arleady heard 'detox'?! i thought we got just a single
-
technically this is old Dre. Anyone remember his World Class Wreckin' Cru days?
CO-SIGN!!
to me this is like Vintage Dre meeting up with modern standards, y'all saying he's complying w/ those standards a bit too much, but that's where I have to disagree.
based off the FACT that this is unfinished I'd say the REAL 'Under Pressure' track will totally surpass this & all of your formulated opinions thus far.
in FACT i really like the sound of this RELAPSIN', DETOXIN' silly drunk sounding flow Dre has, it's different & nice.
fuck tha h8ters! 8)
-
What I don't get is that people who's opinion I respect and feel wouldn't be distorted by some yes-man like loyalty to Dre said the stuff they were hearing was mind blowing. People like Quik were saying it was really dope yet Dre seems to have suddenly changed his mind on the direction of the album.
I think he should just say fuck Detox and release an album called the Detox sessions featuring the best tracks hes worked on.

yeah imagine what would happen if he release all the tracks recorded durin all the sessions.. god
-
it sounds like a jay-z's "kingdome come" leftover... i don't think it is under pressure, however dre just responded "it is an old project he is still working on" he didn't mention it is under pressure... i don't think this is "under pressure"... this is my opinion... we gonna see...
-
i have no idea whats the thing behind ppl hating on Jay-z.. when there was announcment that the single will feature Jay, he was gettin the same hate hes gettin after droppin normal verse.. i cant get it
some are 2pac stans and stuck in 1996

The beat is suprisingly catchy lol, definately not what i wanted to hear for detox but i like the song nonetheless
-
What is all this crap bagging out this song. This song is fucking awesome for an unfinished song. I was bumpin it in my car and its a fucking monster....cant wait till its finished and release properly. I cant believe the haters. Move on from 2001 mofo thats 1999, this is 2010 DETOX!
-
It sounds like it was made with Fruity Loops, I think I can recognize the VST lol, wack.
-
The beat is suprisingly catchy lol, definately not what i wanted to hear for detox but i like the song nonetheless
-
i wouldnt even say its recycled. i think i havent heard a track that was such a garbage fo a min. shit sucks. dre is an senile old man. i think he forgot how to make beats.
-
Its an okay track by today's hip hop standards. By Dr Dre's standards though its abysmal :(
-
The beat is suprisingly catchy lol, definately not what i wanted to hear for detox but i like the song nonetheless
-
even dre goes techno....damn :(
-
This is real. Dre's been thinking of going the techno route with DETOX. That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days. "I Dominate" was a dance record like this... although "I Dominate" was better than this, imo.
well, if i havent heard the dumbest maybe, in relation to a dre track.
techno?
please: (
i'd rather listen to a allan jackson vinyl backwards.
fuck techno.
choose one line,
treble it,
and leave all that skitz mixing shit too the amateurs.
o.m.g.
(i got plans of buying both him and cubes next albums, fresh off the freaking press, but if i have one nary inkling of a doubt, that i'm gonna be misled wit sum bullshit pill popping, head nodding epileptic techno crap. shit, i might have to start petitioning for a freaking invasion on the whole industry. please, do not under any circumstance, confuse the two as familia. )
talk bout ruining a good thing fore it's even been created.
as for all ya rumours, save it till the album comes out.
why even attempt to appreciate good music, if the only thing it's got ya questioning is, who, what, where, when.
i can get that for free on the street, i sure as fuck wouldn't be bootleggin it.
BONeZ
aka
ebenus.
-
honestly this shit dont sound like nothing special
-
If anyone gives a fuck I decided to try my hand at making this into an actual song, Dre Jay and Crooked on the verses, Dre on the hook. Accidentaly exported it at 128 kb p/s and didn't save the session, fuckkk. It could be better but I reckon it sounds alright lol...
http://www.mediafire.com/?3imwioymmmm (http://www.mediafire.com/?3imwioymmmm)
-
This would be a dope club track...i'm actually listening to this a little buzzed and it sounds like something i would enjoy in a club. But...lol....as far as it being the detox lead single....i dont think so....in its current state that is.

I think this track will sound pretty crazy when the finished version comes out

^^^^^^^^^^^ jay always tries to do other people's shit,i'm still trip'n off dre using lines from that roy jones song hook yell

untagged version is 3:42 so maybe room for another verse?

idk, call me weird but I'm actually feelin' dis shit!

there's potential for it to be a banger but this leaked version is terrible.
-
ay y'all niggaz hatin on that Roy Jones Jr. line that was 1 of the most classic lines in HipHop history. Lol, yeah it's Roy Jones and he's no rapstar but that shit was catchy as fuck and it sticks with u.
i smoke/ i drank/
im supposed to stop but i cain't
classic indeed lol
-
No hate from this end. I like the vibe on this track. Every time Dre mixes it up, people want him to go back to what he did 5 years earlier, but every time he revolutionizes the sound of hip hop. He's gonna do it again. 5 years later, everyone will be missing this type of sound. Can't wait for Detox.
-
haha i thought of roy jones too....but this is better than that now radiotube
still for dre...its not str8 bangin or some str8 fire and part of the problem is jay-z
he needs to get snoop for the real single like a still dre or next episode type of banger

I can't begin to express how much better the song sounds with a chorus included... and, yes, I'm working on securing a link.
-
idk, call me weird but I'm actually feelin' dis shit!
8)
Then again you love everything Dre does without questioning it. If Dre recorded himself farting for 5 minutes straight, you would label it as the best thing since butter on bread.
I higly recomend all of you who like this track to either A) go to the doctors to get your ears fixed, or B) realize Dr. Dre isn't God, and you will not end up in hell for critizising his music.

I higly respect everybody's opinion, but some people here (including yourself) seem to like everything Dr. Dre do because the fact he is Dr. Dre and therefore can't do anything wrong. That itself is PATHETIC.
I know for a fact if anyone else besides Dr. Dre had made this piece of shait you guys would hate it. But hey, it's Dre so he can't do anything wrong.

first of all i dont see you respecting anybody here.. and 2nd of all i dont like this track at all, but i believe in dre makin this a good track, which is not pathetic like u said it is.. couse if u think of his past works (from wreckin cru till now) u can say that he usually drops good shit, and even more than usually.. so i got basics to think that this track can be good in final version..

so is ester dean on the chorus, or someone else?
-
I hate gay-z & I think he actually was alright on this track.
-
noone said they couldnt but the love em, jay-z and other overhyped and rated rappers get is crazy cuz they are nuthin compared to the best
course thats all my input but still jay-z? lol
you really think em and jay-z are dope.....dope as in when they drop a verse its outta this world?
thats what i dont get bout you jay-z supporters or in your case whatever jay-z is to your mind of muzik....
whats so special about jay-z verse...for you to say or anyone to say he killed this or alotta the muzik he be droppin?
haha i thought of roy jones too....but this is better than that now radiotube
still for dre...its not str8 bangin or some str8 fire and part of the problem is jay-z
he needs to get snoop for the real single like a still dre or next episode type of banger
Jay killed it and I don't even fuck wit Jay like that. I don't think Snoop would've fitten on this track.
why is some1 a jay-z lover just when he says jay was good on some track?
i dont get many ppl in here - when some1 like a rapper they dont like.. or some1 dont like rapper they do, they are sayin hes hatin/lovin him.. whats up with that? i thought ppl can have diffrent opinions..
respect others opinions.. understand that u dont necessery know best, and in other ppl's eyes Jay-z can be dope, instaed of your 'best'? im not talkin bout my self, im neutral to Jay-z and some others mentioned in this and other topics, but i dont understand why cant ppl get that what they say is just an opinions bout somethin, not the judgement of whole
-

i used to be like u, especially when i was still trippin off of Pac and DeathRow (after the bs) but I learned to like Jay's music. I don't buy n2 it all but when he dropped "american gangster" i became a supporter. I thought BP3 was some of his best work to date. Jay did his feature for the Dr. Dre album some justice, barely but it was cool, just a lil temporary that's all, atleast in my eyes.
-
yeah see ive listened to this song literally hundreds of times....and jay's part isnt doin..not that dre's part is but at least dre's part is better if anyone had to be better
and no jay-z isnt better than snoop
he might have wrote one of the best songs of all time but snoop bein on the song was mos def a plus and jay wouldnt have been able to pull off what snoop did as dope as he did it when he did it
-
Lol @ anyone wanting Snoop on there but not Jay-Z. Jay-Z is far better than Snoop as an artist.

Then again you love everything Dre does without questioning it. If Dre recorded himself farting for 5 minutes straight, you would label it as the best thing since butter on bread.
I higly recomend all of you who like this track to either A) go to the doctors to get your ears fixed, or B) realize Dr. Dre isn't God, and you will not end up in hell for criticizing his music.
first of all you DON'T have the slightest clue what my musical influences/ tastes/ likes or dislikes are or what they have been through out my life.
although i happen to be a VERY enthusiastic Dr. Dre fan, i wouldn't think that that fact would cloud my judgment to the point of being so disillusioned that i would start listening to 5min of farts sounds and enjoy it strictly based on the fact that it has a Dr. Dre signature on it...
you sir are a complete faggot for determining what i deem worthy of being GOOD enough for me to like or even listen to.
just because your useless & oldschool opinion does NOT correspond with my more up-to-date & modern opinion doesn't mean i like to listen to Dr. Dre's fart samples.
that is cool that you don't like this & that your still stuck on some 'Still Dre' or some already been done 'Next Episode' type shit that is fine w/ me.
but the fact that your accusing & making assumption based on someone else opinion(s) is where this conversation on your side should end...
there is enough negative criticism about this track that i didn't feel i had any exclusive insight, therefore i looked at what elements of the song i enjoyed & waited to see if that could drastically change my overall thoughts about it & it did hence why I'm actually feeling this on some 2010 shit. also it's important to keep in mind that all the more negative you all get the more likely Dre is discouraged from releasing ANYTHING let alone a song which most of his OG fan base isn't really feeling atm... sow your poisons if you wish... I'm actually FEELING 'Under Pressure' especially w/ Jay-Z so fuck all y'all! 8)

First of all, Sir, you have got to be one of the most stupid posters I have ever seen on this forum, and that's saying alot. I'm basing my statement about you according to the facts, dumbass. Not once have you said anything that's close to constructive criticism when it comes to Dr.Dre, therefore your opinion is higly questionable/ irrelevant.
I`m what you would call a rare breed, because I actually demand quality when it comes to music. You state that I have a "useless" and "oldschool" mentality, but trust me: nothing would make me more happy then to see Detox come out and Dr.Dre actually dropping some dope music. But this? Come on guys, it's SO NOT up to par with Dre's previous material. And don't come here and accuse me for "not getting" the new sound. I love to listen to new and exciting music, but this track blows the big one.
Seriously, I can't believe that some of you are buying into this crap. You as FANS have waited 10 fucking years to get some Dre solo shit, and he gives all of us a slap in the face. All of those Detox interviews claiming that the project would be groundbreaking, insanely dope, best thing ever etc. was probably all lies.
Nooc210 and the rest of the dickriding fanboys will forever be bending over when Dre (or God as they call him) rings the bell. I`m off checking out something that's actually worthwile, and doesn't take 10 years to make!

I suppose I can agree with that; but at the same time I have no problem with Jay on the song.
I remember Snoop's "Imagine" featuring Dre & that shit was so ill after I thought a duo from them would sound old & washed up.
Since everybody wants Snoop on it & since everybody is convinced that this "unfinished track" is just to "test the waters"; they might as well add Snoop for the 3rd verse.

A little something for the DUBCC board - feel free to spread it. This is the latest version that I have received, which features the artist Kanobby on the hook. I'm not too familiar with dudes work, although I have heard of someone under that name working with Murs, Terrace Martin, and so on (that's http://twitter.com/kingkanobby). Can only assume it's the same person.
Dr. Dre (f/ Jay-Z & Kanobby) - "Under Pressure"

It's a MAJOR improvement on the existing track out there IMO. Sounds legit to me too, although am of course working on getting more info.

I'm aware of their history together. However, they are dope because of the way they sound together. All of their previous classics have been classics sonically, not lyrically. Jay lyrically >> Snoop, I don't think there's a question about that. So anyone complaining about Jay-Z dropping average lyrics should question exactly why they would want Snoop on the same track instead. Not to mention that this is a shitty beat to begin with, so adding Snoop would add exactly nothing.
-
The hook sounds a bit off compared to the rest of the track. The track itself ain't bad, at least Jay-Z drops a good verse.

and for the record, Snoop > Jigga now, but BP3 > Malice N Wonderland

Really? What heat rocks did Snoop drop on Flashing? Come to think of it, when has Snoop ever murdered anything lyrically? From day one he has always relied on his smooth ass flow. That's what we love about Snoop and there really isn't anything else to him.
Jay-Z has every right to be on Detox. After all, he wrote the lyrics to my favorite Dre song, Still Dre.
-

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I prefer the hook version to the one with the instrumental where it should be. It keeps the momentum of the song alive by having the chorus there.
Awaiting further clarification anyway.
ATTN: THA CRIP, if you can, you should see if you can work your mastering magic on that version with the chorus. Would definitely appreciate it!

for real
thanks for the up conan! the supposed 'chorus' version is just....sounds very odd in a bad way with the vocals. terrible, in fact. somebody has just turned the gain up loads and recorded the hook over the previous leak from the sounds of it. doesn't sound real at all.
-
snoop posted a link to this version on his twitter
-
I love still dre, easily one of my favourite dre tracks...yes jigga wrote dres verses but yo, dres verses were gully i admit but lets be real, even though they were fire, most people love the track because of the beat which was amazing and the hook by snoop 'im representin for the gangstas all across the wurrrrrld STILL' lol...nobody sound fresher on a dre beat than snoop...and that was just perfect, great verses, great hook, great chemistry great music.
As for snoop...lol@anyone not wanting him on detox thats all i gotta say about the topic.
About tryna tell niggaz why they like snoops music lol, jus that crazy unique flow/voice, those catchy classic lines and when he on his gangsta tip, especially when he was younger, shit was dope. Same with the shit he spit for younger niggaz out there, nothing deep but nice shit to listen and be like 'aint that the truth'
Jiggaz verse on here is dope though, its club music, jigga sound lively...i like dres part at the end 'i smoke/i drink etc' its classic dre vibes lol he actually could have got someone like snoop to do that sorta thing on the joint, his voice and persona would have probably fit better but whatever, i actually like the way they spittin, they just gotta clean up the beat abit...Ima wait to make a final judgement till i hear a final version...if there ever is one or when we finally get a joint which is in its final form and comfirmed as the first single for detox!
Hold it!
-
the lines are all there and the lyrics is fine for a club joint, just the beat and the sonics seem a million miles off what dre would normally do, REGARDLESS of the music direction (electronic, club, etc). so here's hoping a finished version takes this to something next level and inspired. i'm having a tough time imagining it, but if it can be done using the basic structure on the leak - melody, lyrics, rhythm, then dre can do it.
i got a feeling that the way dre works means the sound and overall sonics of the track will change a lot and that what we heard is much more about the 'concept' of the beat - put together to the extent that it can be used for references purposes/laying vocals. so i imagine the real sound of it will come later when he's messing with it. what the concept could actually sound like fully fleshed out is what would have been in his head when laying down the basic elements we hear here. will be interesting to hear it and i hope it's really dope. but it does have to change a hell of a lot.
-
Oh shit, it's a banger now.
-
wow that track got so much gayer now with the kanobby dude on the chorus.....u sure Kanobby or whatever didn't just download the leaked version, tweaked a couple screws, then added his own chorus to the song for promotion???
-
WTF this is the official track now .... Has dre lost his mind...he went from to still dre to this... WOW this is is wack... Im really doubting detox now

lol
song is wack, if this wasn't dre everyone would say its super wack, genetic & 999 other songs are like it.
-
Dizzam. The chorus is waaack.
The instrumental would've been cool for somebody else to use - I can see the makings of a club hit in it. But for Dre to use himself? Aw hell no. I suppose both Dre & Jay flow alright on the track but c'mon - conception of stuff like this with this beat and these lyrics doesn't fuckin' take 10 years.
-
this hook sounds terrible, it doesnt fit for me.. but whats up wit the end? i didnt hear that in leaked version
-
can we get a re-up ?
-
i wish some more rappers apart from Old ass Crooked i with his automatic nerd flow would rap over this.
jay Rock,Game,Ross,Wayne for diverstity...They all got different flows..jeezy,cube,fab...
raekwon would be nice to see...even Eminem...
This beat is asking to be ripped by Mcs becoz its very technoish and would be very interesting to see how it is.l.
Jay z sucked on this thou...he killed Put on remixes and shit...But Shit was terribleon this
-
can we get a re-up ?
nevermind . Found a workin link.
Nice with a clearer version.. but hook? Sure sounds like some random computer dude upped his own shit!

Whiile I'm still not sure about this track, it has never been said by anyone with any really insight on the project that Detox is supposed to be a WEST COAST album.
-
can we get a re-up ?
nevermind . Found a workin link.
Nice with a clearer version.. but hook? Sure sounds like some random computer dude upped his own shit!
For real that's what I reckon aye, shits just way too amateur. Either that or Dre's lost his ear for a good hook completely
-
Yeah theres no way in hell this chorus is real.
-
I think Dre's headphones were defected when he produced this, utterly fail (chorus that is).
-
That's what Jimmy wants as that is what everyone is doing these days.
exactly, and it sucks ass, dre used to be the originator, now he's just following everybody else?? Cmon dre, say it aint so
-
wow that track got so much gayer now with the kanobby dude on the chorus.....u sure Kanobby or whatever didn't just download the leaked version, tweaked a couple screws, then added his own chorus to the song for promotion???
good point
Oh shit, it's a banger now.
lol
song is wack, if this wasn't dre everyone would say its super wack, genetic & 999 other songs are like it.
you should re-check the whole topic, this song gets a lot of criticism

i'm sure more versions will reach the internet

That Chorus Is Hella Fake...
But The Songs Is Iight.. I Guess We Judgin To Harsh Cause Everybody Is Waitin On Detox & Xpects Too Much From Dre.. The Song Is Average... Good 4 A Couple Of Spinnnnnns...
-
Chorus soooooooooooo wack :-X
-
I can't believe a thread about a 2 minute unfinished track has 17 pages...just goes to show that Dr. Dre is still relevant in the hip-hop game after all these years :D
I'm beginning to like this track now, it's definately a grower. I haven't heard the version with the chorus but I'm sure the finished product, when it does eventually come out, will be really good. And don't even pretend you wouldn't be feeling this track if it came on in a club, you know you would nod your head if you heard it, even those who are bashing this track.
The only thing that's disappointing me is the raps. Granted that's not what Dre is known for but still, I did, and do, expect better rhymes on Detox than this. I actually think Dre has a better verse than Jay Z on this which I never thought would be possible. And I'm sure those who are being negative will still buy Detox and will most likely enjoy it. People are just going to have to get used to this sound because it will probably be the predominant sound for Detox, and don't say you weren't warned because didn't he say that he was gonna release a dance record not long ago?
Edit: can people please stop saying that 'we've waited 10 years for this blah blah blah'. Do you really think Dre has been working on Detox for 10 years? I highly doubt it.
-
Kanobby version = fake.
-
Under pressure = straight garbage WTF happened to the world of music ? i want the 90's bacc now !!!!!!!!!
-

i gave it a further chance. cant dig the concept and the beat of this song. very disappointing. >:(
-

peace
-
if this is really under pressure... dre must be under pressure because hes choking with this little detox shit hes been pulling on us for years

he hasn't.
i think he announced that he was going to drop a 3rd solo album, 10 years ago.
it's no secret that he's working longer on Detox than The Chronic though
-
bump, the 'leaking' suddenly stopped, suspicious?
by the way, this song isn't making any noise outside the internet, is it?
-
got a couple of spins on Sirius but nuthin recently

good, hopefully Dre will scrap it
-
the hype went down pretty quickly for a first leaked 'single' from detox.. kinda sad
-
wasnt a detox single tho...jus more hype but dre's name was on it so.... ;D

A day or 2 after it leaked when I was switching CDs, on the local hip hop station they played a commercial for the song like it was officially released. Now I don't listen to the radio much so i didn't hear the whole song but I've never heard them plug a leaked song like they did.
Remember a few years ago when a song tagged for Detox was leaked with Dre, Snoop and Nate dogg I even heard them play that a couple times when it leaked

What was that song? "there they go" ?
-
dope song....not a new dre verse but still snoop was dope and nate was dope....even dres re-used verse was cool
what about dres verse on "here we go again"..not bad IMO
-
I'm almost positive that this song won't be on Detox. If so, it will sound SO much different than the leaked version.
It didn't catch on, so no reasons for Dre to make his worst song ever the single to an album we've been waiting 10 years for.
-
the hype went down pretty quickly for a first leaked 'single' from detox.. kinda sad
well it sucked, so....
-

glad you finally agree 8)

-
even tho it was a leak, and i think this song is ass, it's weird him and jimmy talked about it,and it still hasn't been released mastered yet, even as a song for the headphones or what not, yell
-
Yeah this is jimmys plan..keep on leakin traxx and c which does best...none have really and shit it better b a bigger fire than still dre...and imo thats part of the problem is that still dre...is n tha background of peoples minds so it has 2 be better not jus as good..esecially since its been 10 plus years

i see, thanks for sharing.
they probably don't play it anymore though

well it sucked, so....
but you have to admit that it's strange that it didn't catch on.
so much hype and this is the outcome?

well if Dre chose his 'usual' sound from the last few years, it would have been criticised, but i doubt it would get the same response as Under Pressure

Keep in mind it's failed hype. Most of the reactions I've seen has been disappointment. It's a clearly unfinished song, and it doesn't sound like it would be good even if it was finished. No reason to keep being excited by a mediocre song, no matter who its from. Also keep in mind that this is not nearly the only leaked song that has been tied to Detox. We've heard numerous unfinished song leaks over the years. Why should this one be any different? Not strange in the slightest.
-
I really liked it. Sounded good to me.

Well.. this one had Dre vocals in it, and it was reported as an official single, by Dre himself - that makes it diffrent from the others like 'this is detox' etc. which were just ghost written songs
-
yeah but you expect somethin like this to catch on, fareal?
damn does anyone think dre's vocals sound different..than normal?
-

It wasn't even confirmed for Detox. Flashy had Dre's vocals on it too, but that didn't make any noise either. Again, why get excited about an unfinished, mediocre leak without even a hook that Dre himself said isn't the real thing? There's no reason.
-
Sad and true thing is that this Curtis Young - Cali shit all over this Dre's single 8) 8) 8)

yeah but you expect somethin like this to catch on, fareal?

no way, its goin to be tragedy for dre and i shit on this track also.. and yeah dre's voice sounds a lil weird, diffrent then before, but well hes old as shit now..

well, i guess ''under pressure'' got more attention, becouse it was mentioned by dre earlier.. instead of flashy.. and what u mean that dre said it isnt the real thing? neva heard of it.. and ppl got excited, becouse they waited for somethin from detox for 10 years.. thats the only reason, becouse track is shit

well Dre confirmed that this is his song and that he's working on it. he didn't say it's for Detox, but you can classify it as his Detox reference song.
yeah but you expect somethin like this to catch on, fareal?

no the age can't be the reason, i've brought this up before.
Dre's vocals have been different since 2006.
listen to Encore( curtains down) & then compare the vocals with Imagine.
-
med that this is his song and that he's working on it. he didn't say it's for Detox, but you can classify it as his Detox reference song.

well, true that actually.. u can also compare dre's voice from the chronic with the one from 2001, in the meantime, and after 2001.. he was changin it pretty often - and as u said it wasnt becouse he was gettin older.. but the voice he got now sounds pretty odd to me
-
Yeah hes sounded different 4 a minute and this prolly "screams" the most...hes older but mystikals older and he sounds the same...i mean snoop? Damn i miss that "showdown" flow...and another reason this got more hype than it should of was cuz of jay...which was wack anyway...got em bringin guns like gilbert arenas haha
-
human growth hormone is known to alter the vocal chords....
-
it dont need a hook. beat is bangin. dre should stick to producing and give all his detox beats away to westcoast artists who will make it sound better
-
it dont need a hook. beat is bangin. dre should stick to producing and give all his detox beats away to westcoast artists who will make it sound better
lmao
and that is kinda a reason why we are waitin for detox so long.. due to dre iterviews he gave away beats that was meant for detox, for diffrent artists..
-
Those flixx were photoshopped of dre bulked up haha
-
dope song....not a new dre verse but still snoop was dope and nate was dope....even dres re-used verse was cool
what about dres verse on "here we go again"..not bad IMO
Can you hook me with that song please?? See if it's the song i have in mind.
-
I dont have it...but it goes like...snoop:dadadada its the one and only...nate:gang bang industry...dre:nate dogg please explain snoop:mr dog hes fine...thats random lyrics i remember right now
-
I dont have it...but it goes like...snoop:dadadada its the one and only...nate:gang bang industry...dre:nate dogg please explain snoop:mr dog hes fine...thats random lyrics i remember right now
is that 'there they go' from dretox? with the chorus goin: 'there they go, there they go, there they go, there they go' by snoop?
-
yeah thats it....its dres verse from "your wife" natd: keep that bomb weed comin wheres my bone...girls pause when...snoop:calvin not calvin klein my office hours are from 10 to 9...dope song
-
human growth hormone is known to alter the vocal chords....
yeah, but not that fast, come on.

well, when you compare 2001 with the chronic, the difference sounds more natural to me.
i agree with you that the current voice doesn't sound natural, more like forced.
off course you can still hear it's Dre.
i remember when i first heard Come & Go, i couldn't believe it was Dre & 50 cent doing the hook.
-
So hes soundin like this on purpose jus like em and his accent?
-

RUMOUR: Lady Gaga To Appear On Dr. Dre And Jay-Z Track
Here’s a little scoop for TheHip Hop Chronicle UK, an exclusive scoop that is!
Recently NMC leaked a brand new song featuring Dr. Dre and Jay-Z. It was called “Under Pressure”.
Dre came out and said the track was unfinished (which I believe) but I am hearing that Lady Gaga will also appear on the track.

Still think this track is great. It's got a cool party vibe to it. Sounds really different from other shit. Like it's from the future or something.. I think Dre switched it up again, and if it becomes a hit with the kids, everyone will jump on board. I seem to remember people on this forum being kind to Sexual Eruption by Snoop, and I didn't think that was a very good song. It went # 1 and all of a sudden everyone was feeling it..
-
I thought Ester Dean or whatever her name is was on the hook?
-
Nah sexual seduction was is and will always b a wack song

she was featured on a snippet, yes.
perhaps it was an early version of Under pressure, as the snippet was removed from youtube
