Title: Keih Murray dropped from Def Jam for assaulting promoter !!

After recently being released from a three year stint for assault, Keith Murray was dropped by Def Jam after allegedly assaulting a promoter while on a promotional tour. No word on what Def Jam has in store for Murray's already recorded and delayed Def Jam debut He's Keith Murray?

they should still release his album tho...worth a lot of money to them still....already produced etc an ready to drop...if they delay it they will lose out on all that.

He completely jacked Rascalz "Movie Star" which was a huge hit in Canada and even the OG is WAY better.....and then he releases Candi Bar as a single.....WICKETY WACK!!

In a way this could actually be good, because it may mean that we actually end up getting two Keith Murray albums this year, as he is likely to start work on another album once he finds himself another record deal. My money is on him signing to J Records to hook up with Erick Sermon or Rocafella.

Keith Murray is a member of Def Squad and they are signed to Def Jam as far as I know unless they had a one album deal and El Nino was it. Now I guess he's still on Def Jam unless Def Squad gets dropped. Is that correct?

Does him assaulting the promoter make it a breach of contract on his part and that's why they can drop him without compensation?

Now if the album drops on Def Jam does Keith Murray still receive royalties if they don't have a contract with him?

Def Squad (the label, Erick Sermon's) is under J Records but I'm not sure what label will release the next Def Squad (group) album if it ever gets complete.

My understanding is that they would get together to make another album after Redman, Keith Murray and EPMD's albums were finished.
