Styles P on the Phone
thanks for helpin me out 50, im a free agent
you kno what i think is the best person to break you a deal, 50 Cent
you was a cool cat(50 cent), you cant laugh at brothers who get convicted, what you did in the game is incredible, you did a lot for the game, but i think you forgot who you from, or where you from no more. you sit here talkin about the indies, when you go to koch you make $7, and major's you get les than 10 cents, they arguin about the whole thing for a minute or two i aint stop your record(styles p), i dont dislike anyone enough to stop their records. Jimmy loves the money so much that they would not, damn they arguin about the whole thing about of styles p getting pushed back, and then getting dropped.
50 wants to help styles get a good deal
50 said he ain't stop his record
-
LOL this is priceless:
i would do business with 50 :Styles P
styles, we definitely going to talk about it (50 Cent)
we gotta finish the conversation at the office,
i wanted to thank you for holding it down, come back to the streets (Styles P)
50 Cent: I could stop a record at Koch.
Styles P.: I BELIEVE YOU COULD!
Styles said he want to be on G-Unit this shit is crazy
"call me up!"
-
Uh, all of that just seemed real messy, but... LOL
-
Styles on G-Unit? Further proof that all beefs in Hip-Hop are over-dramatized soap opera scenes these days. I wouldn't even be surprised if 50 and Game 'made up' eventually. ::)
-
Camron calling in now...
-
Camron just called in with Koch maganer and dissed 50. Saying that Jimmy sold as much as Banks on Koch.
Well, at least for once we can say 50 didnt start a beef.
This is pure entertaiment ;D

Just listened to Styles P. Theyve kept it mature which is cool. Styles P was sucking up to 50 a lil bit though.
2If people say money dotn change them then they aint made enough money"
Styles was stupid for saying that whole hood stuff. That was pointless
-
Im listening now, VERY ENTERTAINING. 50 has really impressed me with this, hes acted real modest and mature with the Styles talk, I cant wait to get to the Camron part!
-
Jim Jones: "We don't want no beef with 50 cent, don't blow it outta porportion"
-
^ When did he say this? I didn't hear it. I actually didn't even hear Jim call in.
Can we get some Jim Jones audio and some Nas audio?
-
Jim Jones called in after the show
-
"I got 3 million calls saying it was going down...ain't nothing going down man, it's just aggressive competition. Everybody got they own opinion. We don't want no beef with 50 cent, It got blown outta puportion"- Jim Jones
-
^^^^
Wow.

-
^^ They ended the show before he started.
Cam: "You can shut down Diplomat projects?"
50: "Cam you really want that?"
Cam: "Nah...I was just askin"
lol

^^^^
Damn I hate to say this But 50 is running shit...

Styles P is boring as fuck so he would fit perfectly on G-Unit.
^^^^
I thought he was just beginning to find his style. But if he goes to Gunit, what does that mean for Dblock?
-
I'm so fuckin' lost.
Basicly, Styles P and 50 is cool now?
-
Styles P and 50 are the same as the beginning of the call. Cam came on with the Koch GM after 50 was taking shots at Koch and he started talking about Jim Jones selling as much as Banks and started talking about Mobb Deep not selling. They cut Cam off. Nothing will probably happen because of this.
-
i give 50 mad props in being real business man there.
Styles P. was an interesting thing going on there, nice to see professionals talking like that
camron is mad stupid, dipshit niggas are straight WACK, all talk without being able to walk, all he did was cut 50 off everytime he talked and basically just called him out withought having a real arguement.
ps Thanx for the radio download, mad respect 8)
-
White exec : well I'm just calling because I hear a lot of negativity...you know us Koch distribute Diplomat records
50 : well....Diplomat records is cool but put Cam on the phone
White exec :.......diplomat records and we pay them
50: Put Cam'ron on the phone!
White exec : and you know.....
50 : Put Cam'ron on the phone!!!
White exec : ok hang on
-
Dude TtK, you know Cam has a point with that Prodigy shit. 50 Cent is a business man. HE SAID HE LET PRODIGY DO HIS ALBUM ON KOCH CUZ PRODIGY WANTED TO AND HE DONT HOLD PPL BACK. 50 Cent is a business man. If the money was that good on G-Unit major, he would have said 'Look you arent gonna make that much over there, put that shit out on G-Unit trust me" you KNOW he would have done that.
It ain't even about sales.
-
"CUUUUUUUUURTIS, CUUUUUUUUURTIS. HOW MUCH DID THE MOBB SELL CURTIS?!"
That shit is hilarious, he sound like a goony.
-

sounded more like a crackhead askin how much some rock was gonna cost, but thats just me. respect to dipset, gunit, and dblock, though, fan of all three.

^^ They ended the show before he started.
Cam: "You can shut down Diplomat projects?"
50: "Cam you really want that?"

lol
LOL, that shit was funny too. So much comedy with 50 cent always.

this was hilarious, everytime 50 goes on the air something funny is going to happen, Cam was straight comedy ;D
-
Cam made a great point about 50 callin Koch a hip hop graveyard while one of his artist is signed there, but he's really a dickhead. This is the 2nd time Cam went on Hot 97 and made an ass out of himself.
-
Cam made a great point about 50 callin Koch a hip hop graveyard while one of his artist is signed there, but he's really a dickhead. This is the 2nd time Cam went on Hot 97 and made an ass out of himself.
the thing is though, it really is the end of prodigy's career.
-
Styles was talking like he had something to prove to 50.
-
If you guys get past all the gossiping bullshit, Styles had a good point. 50 asked him if he didn't like making money. Styles said of course he does, but he's not gonna sacrifice his character for some more money. And he said that 50's attitude reflects a lot of the mainstream rappers today which I think is true. These mainstream rappers will do ANYTHING for a buck. It's tapdancing at it's finest.
Rappers / MC's used to dictate to the masses what was dope and accetable. Nowadays it's more on exploiting any angle to get an extra dollar. There's always been that hustling aspect in hip hop, but it wasn't supposed to overtake the creative / artistic aspect of it. At least before, if there was something that was produced strictly to "exploit a market" there was always a counterbalance of some artistic stuff. And getting that balance makes you appreciate both sides. You get hundreds of perspectives that way. It seems like today there is only one audience that is catered to. There are artists that go outside of it, but those are declining in numbers.
-
haha i cant believe the GM called in, 50 had to bitch him right quick, "so you want to be an artist and talk on air?". and then had to demand camron to come on. but it was cool that camron schooled 50 with the prodigy, but i wish he acted a bit more mature, so the conversation coulda continued. but it was hilarious nonetheless.
50s very elaborate and on point whenever hes talking though, the majority of the time hes like calm cool and collected. most rappers cant speak like him, and hes right, whenever hes on the radio, you gotta listen. (but i dont like him at all, but im able to put my bias aside). i can pretty much imagine him slick talkin through any business deal.
-
Someone's gotta put up the part with Cam so I can hear that shit.
-
Cam was just heated. He was getting to 50. That's why fif was saying "oh you gonna take this to something else."
Cam was on point with the fact that Jimmy has sold as much as Banks and Banks is on G Unit.
-
50 is actin cool
this dude Styles is stupid tho, "im from the streets" okay
-
Styles' point was that he's a stret cat and could careless about selling huge numbers cuz at the end of the day he has the streets to back him up.
-
^ who hasn't said that before?
like we get it man, you're from the streets, just like everyone else in history has claimed to be
-
Of course everyone has said it, But that was Styles' point. He's not as concerned with sales as he is with staying true to who he is.
-
Of course everyone has said it, But that was Styles' point. He's not as concerned with sales as he is with staying true to who he is.
Yep, he isn't willing to give a part of himself up to be able to feed his family more lavishly. That's a real dude right there.....

50 Cent exchanged words with both Styles P and Cam'ron yesterday (February 1) while appearing as a guest on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 radio show.
During the show, Angie and 50 Cent briefly discussed D-Block and 50's involvement with the continual delay of Styles P's sophomore album, Time Is Money, prompting the Yonkers-born MC to phone into the show. After Martinez advised 50 to keep it peaceful, the two MC's engaged in their first ever conversation with 50 offering to broker a new record deal for Styles, who recently parted ways with his former recording home Interscope Records.
"You know who would be the best person to broker a deal for you right now? 50 Cent," the G-Unit boss offered. Styles later responded by saying "I would do business with him, but I wouldn't let him broker my deal. I'm a man. We could do some other business or something, I'm a man like he is, he can't do nothing that effect me."
Styles also went on to criticize 50 for laughing at Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff's recent conviction and accused 50 of going Hollywood.
"I think you forgot where you're from." 50 responded by saying, "If you say that I'm a different person, anybody who says money don't change them, they just didn't make enough." Fif also denied ever wanting Styles to be released from Interscope or wanting him to be placed in a bad financial situation [Listen Here]. http://www.zshare.net/audio/angiemartinez-50_cent_interview_styles_p_calls_to_talk_to_50_for_first_time_live-0201-mp3.html
After commenting during his conversation with Styles that he could "stop a record from coming out at Koch [Records]", Koch's general manager called in alongside Cam'ron. After 50 beckoned the GM to put Cam on the line, the Dipset Don took the opportunity to voice his opinion on the matter.
While in the past 50 referred to Koch as being a "graveyard" for washed up artists, Cam responded by asking why 50 allowed Prodigy to do a deal with the label if this is how he felt. He also used Lloyd Banks' and Mobb Deep's album sales as ammunition against 50's claim that artists only go to Koch when major labels will no longer invest in them.
"How much Lloyd Banks sold," Cam asked. "Lloyd Banks is at 300,000[units] , Jim Jones is at 300,000 [units], Jim Jones is on an independent, Lloyd Banks is on your label."
"But Lloyd Banks has more money than Jim Jones, if you want to talk on that level," Fif responded. "See, you're getting ready to turn this into something else."
Cam continued to taunt 50 repeating, "Yo Curtis, how much did Mobb Deep sell?" Clearly becoming agitated 50 said, "You're getting ready to cause a whole different situation. Watch it [Listen Here]." http://www.zshare.net/audio/angie_martinez_50cent_camron_phonecall_02107-mp3.html
Cam was eventually cleared from the line, with 50 later saying, "I think he thinks that he's actually able to compete with me."
Later on, after 50 had left the show, Jim Jones phoned into Hot 97 seemingly to keep the peace.
"Ain't nothing going down, its just aggressive competition. It got a little blown out of proportion [but] we don't want nobody to take it beyond that [Listen Here]." http://www.zshare.net/audio/0201-angie_martinez-jim_jones_calls_in_to_talk_about_50_and_cam-mp3.html

lol

Camron is the king!!!

Cam was on point with the fact that Jimmy has sold as much as Banks and Banks is on G Unit.
Yeah, but Jimmy also sold as much as Cam and Cam was on Asylum/Atlantic.
-
Of course everyone has said it, But that was Styles' point. He's not as concerned with sales as he is with staying true to who he is.
Yep, he isn't willing to give a part of himself up to be able to feed his family more lavishly. That's a real dude right there.....
that was a terrible point. keeping it real when it comes to getting down in the streets compared to providing a nice life for your family is bullshit. that aside styles p>cam>50 cent
-

lol, so true but imo Styles P.>50 Cent>Cam
-
This shit was hilarious!!! LMAO @ Cam'ron wilding out! "CUUUUUUUUUUUUURTIIIIIIIIIIS!! hahahah
-
Some dude on the other forum made a valid point. He said something in the words of that basically Cam was yelling like crazy and not letting 50 speak because he knows 50 has an anwser for everything when it comes to bussiness. If you listen to this interview 50 aint even speaking like a rapper, more like a ceo.
Cam did get him with that whole sales thing great but you know 50 would have an anwser for anything.
-
Looks like 50 owned everybody again
-
"CUUUUUUUUURTIS, CUUUUUUUUURTIS. HOW MUCH DID THE MOBB SELL CURTIS?!"
That shit is hilarious, he sound like a goony.
omg that was soo fun HAHAHAH..R
CUUUURTIS

i guess 50 does run the game

God help us...

Some dude on the other forum made a valid point. He said something in the words of that basically Cam was yelling like crazy and not letting 50 speak because he knows 50 has an anwser for everything when it comes to bussiness.
exactly, cam knew he would lose any argument.
-
Yep, he isn't willing to give a part of himself up to be able to feed his family more lavishly. That's a real dude right there.....
You gotta be kidding me! So because he doesn't have his family eating Lobster and Shrimp every night he's not real? You're acting like dude's leaving his family starving. Think about it, Insterscope barely spent any money advertising his album. He only had one video and that was a long ass time ago... So for him to be at 80,000 sold it's not going to be a bad pay check for him. Plus he's always doing guest spots and shit. Dude's eating well enough to NOT need to be so rich that he needs 6 cars. He's just keeping true to himself.
Yeah, but Jimmy also sold as much as Cam and Cam was on Asylum/Atlantic.
That was Cam's point. Just because you're on Koch don't mean you can't sell more than a person on a major. 50 trying to clown people on Koch for not selling is laughable because his own artists are selling as much, if not less than Koch artists AND some of his artists are on Koch. Cam was yelling and not giving 50 a chance to speak because he new that it would piss off 50. 50 didn't like someone spitting so much truth at him, pretty much telling him that he's not right. That's why 50 was getting mad talking about "this is gonna start something else." Why's he mad?
-
^^ You wouldnt be mad if you were on radio giving the person props and the same person starts yelling at you and not giving you a chance to speak back ?
Both had valid reason to be pissed at eachother but the conversation sucked.
-

WORD.
BUT what happened with Nas? You mentioned him and then didn't elaborate...then you said they ended the show before he spoke...but I'm asking how did Nas come up in the first place? Did angie say he called or did nas start to speak and the show was ended or what?
-T
-
They sad Nas is waiting on the line but they ended the show before he'd get a chance to speak becuase of Camrons bashing.
-
I don't know as much about their situations...does Nas have any issues with any of the aforementioned rappers?

LMAO @ Giving the person props. What were you listening to? Yeah sure, 50 said he liked Cam and that Jimmy was doing his thing, but he was also dissing the label they're on saying that it's the Graveyard. Talking all kinds of shit... THEN had the nerve to say he can shut shit down over there. So, if I'm Cam, I'm thinking "does this dude think he can shut me down?" Of course Cam ain't gonna let 50 talk, he already said what he had to say. 50 had no reason to be upset at Cam, relax...

I didn't see any legitimacy on the part of Kam until this post.
-T
-
Question for you people how can 50 legitimately say that can shut anything down at Koch unless through some kinds of umbrella Interscope and Koch are now affiliated?
-
after some thinking time, my thoughts:
50 isn't necessarily running everything, but he is more than styles and cam'ron.
I was talking with some dudes I got to Cal State san bernardino with, these couple african american dudes I smoke blunts with who are from rialto( a ghetto-er part of the IE) where I grew up and these dudes are your average west coast hip hop fans, no access to dubcnn or anything, just some rap fans you know? some ear to the street kind of cats and I was tellin' them about the dre compilations I'm making and I said something to the effect of "I'm making a snoop break up to make up with all dre produced snoop shit produced since doggystyle and an eminem completely dre produced record and even though I don't like him, I'm gonna do a 50 cent one cause he has so much dre produced stuff" and these dudes immediately said "yeah, that's why he's running shit. anyone could run shit with that much dre tracks." I said "if that's so, what happened to knoc turn al" and dude says "the streets got his shit MONTHS before his album dropped. wasn't NOBODY trying to buy that old ass album when it came out"......even the average rap fan off the streets sees that 50 ain't nearly as formidable without dre. which is my whole issue with him, it's not that 50's the whackes out, he ain't the whackest but dre is producing him and his people instead of the classic people and new west coast people that we want to see him produce.
-T

Of course everyone has said it, But that was Styles' point. He's not as concerned with sales as he is with staying true to who he is.
real spit. and Styles still sold 80 k.

50s been saying for the past 3 months how he likes Jim Jones, what he did with Balling was great, how a Dispet GUnit collabo might happen...
And your second argument is what I said already. Cam had a completley valid reason to be pissed BUT he shouldve let 50 speak too. Thats why its no wonder 50 was pissed. Cam was cuttinh him off.

That point is completley pointless. Yeah Dres backing helps you but its nearly not everything. If that was the case Busta would have sold more, Konc, Hittman, Stat Quo would be released imedialty and not waiting for him to create buzz... Massacre frist 2 singles had nothign to do with Dre and we all know how much he had sold.
He knows how to promote himself and is a hit maker. Thats why he sells.
-
dre keeps him relevant once his content started declining in quality is what those dudes were saying, and with dre comes dre's trained producers like hi tek, havoc, focus, mel man, battlecat, storch.
so yeah 50 had alot to do with himself blowing up initially but once the massacre hit everyone knew he was going downhill and everyone's been knowing that shit and it's just a matter of dre keeping him where he's at.
in the 4 years I didn't listen to rap I still heard
how we do and in da club a fuckin' grip. i didn't even think 'dre' at all when I heard gangs and gangs of people playing those songs, i didn't know dre produced those till like november of '06. to me, the shit that goes beyond the HH community is what pushes people past multi platinum and those are the songs that did it.
and yeah those singles sold but anything woulda sold offa the momentum of a diamond album that dre had a grip to do with.
before dre and eminem came into his life, 50 cent was this dude known for dissing people that my mafioso ass uncle would bump and laugh at from time to time. it was stuff like 50 getting heavily involved with dre and em that discouraged me from getting back into rap until when i did, Dre and em were always some of my favorites and hearing the shit that was coming out I was like 'what the fuck is going on?' surely you realize no one outside of the hip hop community can take him seriously at all right? Eminem, Dre and Snoop are respected musicians who've made music on par with Mozart and The Beatles and I hear all kinds of people say it on the regular. No one outside of hip hop respects 50 cent that isn't paid to do so live on the air. 50 cent just damages shit man....Eminem knew controversy sells, saw that 50 dissed a lot of people too and decided to make a buck. dre and em=50's success. He's not the whackest like i said, I just wish dre and em would put more time into wortwhile art like they used to. I was listening to 'revelation', 'who knew' and even 'business' the other day and Eminem used to be like Bishop man...trying to bring quality back into the game. It's a fucking shame 50 cent happened.
I know I've mentioned it in a few posts in the recent past, but I'm currently makling some dre compilations which is why I've been requesting all the shit i've been reqesting. Now the reason I'm making dre compilations is because every year, 5-10 albums come out with between 1 and 3 dre tracks on them and almost without exception the dre tracks are the only ones worth a damn. not only that but in a given time period dre has a motif to his sound so compiling his shit is fun to contextualize cause he has such style. Now....rock artists wouldn't do that, wouldn't distribute their heat between seven different discs...when a rock artist falls off, they just fall off(re: they're nigh incapable of making classics like they used to) whereas a rap artist 90% of the time is just being lazy/choosing to ration the dope shit. Now, living in CA, I've noticed that rap is THE most listened to music in the state and that's why rock is like that and rap is like this: Because Rap is so ridiculously popular, corporations have a vested interest in that shit so a label will distribute 15 dre tracks over 15 albums instead of a few really dope albums(Notice Ras Kass' letter talking about all his label's pressure to release the dre song first. I've read alot of behind the scenes stories that are similar, I'm sure you have as well)...in other words, rap is way more watered down and bullshitty because of it. It is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that I have to scramble on this forum to collect an albums worth of classic dre tracks at a time. i should be able to pick up these albums pre-collected at the store. they should be selling quality record, they have 'em! No one's saying these people can't make quality records. The cohesive nature of Dre's work is a no brainer but it's a fucking scam and this is what discouraged me from getting back into rap for so long, i knew I'd end up compiling dre tracks well before being remotely moved to buy a 50 cent album. whereas I could buy EVERY RECORD Bob Dylan for example put out between 1961 and 1971 and be getting nothing but universally rated 5 star classics. It's not that rap or even fuckin' Dre alone, doesn't produce that much classic material but rappers are constantly encouraged by their bosses to compromise this classic material with other not so classic material so they can release 3 platinum albums instead of one really quality classic album. It's fucking quality diffusion and 50 cent is a perpetrator! Huge perpetrator! Styles P's call is a manifestation of the problem, when he says I think you forgot where you're from, help me out. He's saying, You're in the position to make the game not like this, you're in the position to make art a priority but you're not and that's your problem.
and 50 is like "yeah i'll broker you a deal" and styles P says shit to the effect of, "i want a deal but i don't want to compromise' read between the lines, he's saying "yeah I'm sure you could get me a deal where they will ask me to get a Dre club beat and an r.kelly hook but I'm not trying to do that, I want a deal where I don't have to compromise my art" and as powerful as 50 is, 50 can't get him that. alot of people in response will say things like what they said in that post in reponse to ras kass open letter to his label "you're an employee of the company, you need to make a bottom line happen." well the rappers nas talks about in HHID did that without compromising their shit because the game was different, because their wasn't quality diffusion policies, the same 7 producers it's okay to work with, art was a priority etc. Styles is saying 50 is in the position to change it and he's not so he's a bad thing for music and hip hop. 50 is failing music. 50 is failing hip hop. 50 is failing the streets. 50 is failing himself, just like a million other rapers who say "I'm gonna take the game back to the real shit" and don't act on it when they get big, just like the white politicians(that do more for you than you'll ever know) so many of you fuckin' reverse racist hip hop heads(not everyone) diss so much for campaigning on one thing and doing another when they get elected. so you have to accept that 50 is gonna get hate for legitimate reasons TTK. He is bad for hip hop. I talked about this with those rialto cats and they said "No one ever said 50 was talentless but I'm always thinking a)why are you saying dumb shit? b) why are you always dissing people? If you're so cool, just do you and you'll be succesful with dre and em" so that's the average hip hop fan. dude hasn't bought an album in months he says because of shit like this, shit like 50. and he has a gang of friends that are the exact same way (I would know, I smoke 'em out whenever I see him lol). So that's 50 directly contributing to bootlegging (these dudes burn more plastic than beverly hills moms at Macys) So I mean, no one is saying 50 can't rap. dude has a cool voice and talent when he wants to use it which is what I think you've always wanted to propagate his goodness, which is cool but you can't act like we're out of line or coming unfounded when we diss 50. dude is a really bad distraction, but he can change that. and styles was saying that he isn't.

let me simplify, the AM/SHADY/GUNIT camp will put all the effort it takes to make One classic record into seven different discs that they release that year so they can make the bottom line. So they'll release say...4 albums out with 3 dope cuts each...I'm just gonna download those dope cuts and put 'em on an album together and not buiy anything. If they put the 3 dope cuts from each of the 4 albums on one 12 track solid disc, I'll buy that shit...they're not doing that, every year record sales get lower cause 19 million motherfuckers grew up to be just like me; more and more people listen to rap all the time and less and less people buy it all the time to the point where new fans feel like that's how it is and how it always will be, hence how huge mixtapes have been recently. This means everyone at the top is responsible for making it so their people have a viable means to eat. Nas is the only rapper taking this reponsibility seriously. it's ridiculous how much paralels i'm seeing between the rap game and politics right now. it's just like old ass politicians not doing shit about social security cause it won't affect them...sad, that while white people have this hierarchical structure with the fate of a nation while black people do it with the fate of your headphones...damn, vote Obama for the love o' god.
Anyway, If AM put this effort into like 3 discs(one per label) instead the records would be solid, would be classic. it's dispersion, diffusion and it cheats the fans and it's why people don't buy albums. No one's saying they're talentless, they're just not doing what they should be doing on an artistic level.

So I'm gonna come out saying, "I got love for 50 Cent but G Unit records is not a good place for artists! I can shut down any record coming out of G Unit."
By saying that, should I expect 50 to call in and be cool? I just shitted on him, his skills as a CEO and his business. But he should call in and talk casual right?

^^ They ended the show before he started.
Cam: "You can shut down Diplomat projects?"
50: "Cam you really want that?"
Cam: "Nah...I was just askin"

SGV you know all this crap behind the scenes, Im not sure but werent Cam and Jim Jones dissing Koch just few weeks ago ?

after some thinking time, my thoughts:
-T
Well put. I think people put 50 on a pedestall, and that's why you see alot of hardcore haters out there too. 50 said some dirty shit in the interview, but still suprised me because he was calm and pretty respectable the whole time.
-
^^ You wouldnt be mad if you were on radio giving the person props and the same person starts yelling at you and not giving you a chance to speak back ?
Both had valid reason to be pissed at eachother but the conversation sucked.
I bet you 50 is completely insincere when he's giving those 'props' to Jimmy. We all know 50 is a businessman. He knows damn well that "We Fly High" is one of the biggest records in America right now. He knows that Jimmy is selling as much as Banks is on an independant label. More to the point, he knows that at this point a G-Unit/Dipset collabo would benefit the Unit just as much, if not more, than it would Jones and Dipset.
Would 50 have been saying he wanted to collaborate with Dipset or digged Jones' style before "We Fly High" dropped? Hell no.
On the flip-side, however, I totally agree. Cam should've let Fif speak. He acted completely immature. Funny though.

SGV you know all this crap behind the scenes, Im not sure but werent Cam and Jim Jones dissing Koch just few weeks ago ?
What could Fif have said? He had already spoke. He said what he said and Cam replied. No need to let dude reply because there's nothing more to say.
A lot of people are mad at Koch, just like Lil Jon and them were mad at TVT. They aren't paying people on time. That's why Cam was saying he was there picking up money that was owed to them. These Major Independents are all like that. So in that sense, they're bad... But once that check is cut, it's a wrap. Think about how much Jimmy sold. Even if they don't get $7 a record, let's say they get $3.50
Thats still $1,050,000. Take out taxes and what not, it's still a decent pay check. If Banks is getting something like $.03, he barely got $9,000. So, what would you rather do? Granted, not everyone is going to hit Jimmy Blanco's numbers, but the potential is there.
If Koch would pay people on time, better believe they would have a lot of people trying to get a deal there. But, just like Lil Jon is still on TVT, once they cut the check, everyone's happy.

yeah, Banks probably IS getting 3 cents a record BUT G Unit probably sells out shows, and I'm sure Dre or Iovine or 50 or all three cut him a nice advance before the album was even made.

Artists don't just make money from cd's nomore this days, you think Koch buys at much shows for their artists as Interscope does? Banks been on tour non stop for the last 3 years... You think the advance is the same amount of money? You think Diplomats gives you movies, clothing, a oppurturnity to start your own label and all that shit like every artist on G-Unit gets? Yayo, Buck, Spider, Hot Rod, Mobb Deep, they all got their own label, they get G-Unit clothes and all got clothes/shoes out themself, they doin' movies all that shit, get cars, get houses all that.. even when they're in jail...

do you really think banks is gettin .03 on g-unit? 50 already told cam, if you want to talk like that banks made more money.
I wouldn't doubt it. C'mon, think about the people that need to eat off his album first. Be honest with yourself, Jimmy Iovine and Fifty are looking to eat the most off those albums. Average album goes for about $12.99. Half of that is going back to Iovine and Interscope and at least half of that will be going to 50. That leaves about $3, but we all know artists on Majors aren't eating that well off of their album sales, so Banks MIGHT see about half of that and that's reaching. Keep in mind, Banks was NOT an artist that Interscope went out and signed. He came along with 50. Yes, his label is "G-Unit" but the people signing the checks is Interscop. I don't think they'd give him all that money when he's not even producing huge numbers. So, yes, I do think he gets around $.03 an album. Of course it could be more, but the point is, he's getting cents.
Artists don't just make money from cd's nomore this days, you think Koch buys at much shows for their artists as Interscope does? Banks been on tour non stop for the last 3 years... We're not taking Concerts though. We're talking album sales. But if you want to take it that route, fine. Interscope can and will book huge tours, not for Lloyd Banks though. They'll book big tours for Eminem and 50, cuz well, it's Em and 50. Let's say Banks toured the states on his own, he'll never do a venue bigger than the House Of Blues. That's the same thing an artist on Koch could do. Don't front. Can the Dips give you Movies? Yes. Clothing? Of course! They have clothing stores. An oppurtunity to start your own label? Of course dude! Are you serious? They got deals on Warner Bros., Def Jam and Koch, how could they NOT get someone a label deal there? Don't kid yourself now. LMAO @ All those cats have their own label. You're delusional if you think Banks, Spider and Hot Rod have a label where they do day to day business. They get imprints. Their "label" is just a stamp. And you're right, they do get cars, houses and shit, but guess what that is? That's their way of getting paid.
Diplomats have enough money to fund their movies, videos, cds and what have you on their own. Banks, Yayo, Hot Rod, Buck, Spider... None of these cats can say the same. Take the deals from Warner Bros and Def Jam away, Diplomats can and will survive on Koch, because they're making enough money to stay a float. Banks, Buck, Yayo and Mobb Deep probably never even recooped off their albums... Sad.

is there an affiliation between Interscope and Koch? if not 50 cent is speaking shit saying he could even theoretically get Camron shut down at Koch

I like how 50 said 300,000 with no hesitation when Cam asked how much Banks sold LOL, 50 stays shitting on Banks, and then 50 tries to back it up by saying that Banks has more money than Jones, you could tell 50 is not happy with Banks sales
