LAS VEGAS (AP) - A tiger attacked magician Roy Horn of the duo ``Siegfried & Roy'' during a Friday night performance at The Mirage hotel-casino, authorities said.
Roy was attacked at the throat, said Clark County Fire spokesman Bob Leinbach. He was taken to University Medical Center; Leinbach did not know his condition.
The illusionists, who put on one of the most well-known and expensive Las Vegas shows with their signature white tigers and lions, signed a lifetime contract with the Mirage in 2001.
Fishbachler, 61, and 56-year-old Roy Uwe Ludwig Horn have performed together in Las Vegas for more than 30 years. They opened at the Mirage hotel-casino in February 1990.

Nah... in most cases, yes, but this wouldn't be fun in any way. He didn't do anything to deserve that, and he's like the world's leading spokesman for the conservation of endangered tiger species. I mean, you can't tempt nature, but he's probably done more for these rare tigers than anybody that's ever lived, that's not fair for him to go out that way.
I know what you're saying though, usually I like a good train wreck.

When are people gunna learn these animals ain't for show, these animals might sit there 9 outter 10 times and let people take pictures with them aint shit but that 1 time when the animal gets pissed off could be the last time a person breaths. These animals belong in the wild or in zoo's not in fucking shows with fucking dumasses showing to crowds what great tricks they can do with them and shit.

damn......I would've been amped for days if I was at a hotel in Vegas and seen a 600lb tiger drag a human off stage.....then I would've gone to the buffet in the hotel. ;D

lol people are just stupid...im sure Roy knew the risk, but its still a dumb idea playing with a tiger like it wont kill u anytime it feels like it lol. I jus dont get why people act surprised when it happens. If i waived mah hand through a flame fast, it might not burn me...but would be surprised if it did? lol
And lol@ at trauma callin Roy a "Lion Tamer". Just seems funny considering tha Lion tore his ass up...kinda ironic i guess.

I dont give a fuck. You can't tame a wild animal period. I dont give a shit if its been in captivity for years and the same guy has looked after it for years and it can do loooooads of tricks. You can't tame a wild animal, that in other words means, you dont know what state of mind the animal is in each day it wakes up. Animals are meant for the wild, the jungle, the plains, the swamps, not fucking tv programs and circus's where dumbass people can try and show off what great things tyhey have taught this animal. Thats my point Trauma.

^^ You're the master of the obvious. Like I said, he knew this! Nobody involved has said 1 thing about the tiger, stuff like this happens.
BTW, without their little show, white tigers like the one that bit him would probably be extinct now. They're the ones that have raised millions of dollars for the conservation of white tigers (and white Lions for that matter, I've never seen one of those though). Of course it's easier to just say they're evil evil men who cage tigers and teach them tricks.

Man, I never said the where evil men and shit your just takin what I am saying to a whole new context.
I am simply saying that if you work with animals like Lions, tigers, Elephants, crocodiles etc then your asking for trouble. They have raised loads of money for the foundation, good for them, good to know that they are giving something back to the tiger foundation after using the animals to their advantage. I couldent really give a fuck if they raised 20 billion dollars for the foundation I still don't think working with animals for your own benefit is a good thing to do. Sure they are almost extinct but thats because of us and are dumbass attitude towards animals. We realse them to the wild and then we kill them for their fur, teeth, whatever so it is good that there is a conservation for them to keep them alive and keep them breeding but I still don't think that gives them a right to use one of these tigers as a part of a show.
Its just a different opinion from yours man. I dont think people shud be working with wild animals period. Apart from what you have said like a conservation or something. But apart from that nobody should be allowed to work with wild animals.
