Eve Says Dr. Dre Will Be 'All Over' Her Next Album
Eve doesn't have a title for her next record yet, but maybe she should call it Still E.V.E. The golden-locked rapper/actress is hitting the studio next month with Dr. Dre.
"You will see Dre all over the record, let's put it that way," Eve said recently of the follow-up to last year's Eve-olution. She said she hasn't written any songs yet, opting instead to just get in the studio and let the creativity flow.
"It doesn't matter [what type of material he'll bring]," she said with a grin. "It's Dre. That's all I care about. He's creative, he's hardworking, [and] he has the energy. He believes in the project and that is what makes it all good."
Eve has collaborated with the celebrated rapper/producer several times in the past, and she's confident that his presence will inspire the best in her. "He's been in the business I don't know how many years," she gushed. "He's like the Godfather. But he still has the same passion and the same hunger.
"I think that's what a lot of people who are coming up now forget about," she added. "They get comfortable and it's like, you can't get comfortable. You have to keep going. And [Dre] loves it, that's his life. And that's why he keeps winning."
In addition to applying his "winning" formula to Eve's album, Dre will handle the bulk of production duties on Ice Cube's next record. Eve is looking to hook up with Dre's former N.W.A partner as well.
Eve wants Cube to join her in the sequel to last year's smash ensemble comedy "Barbershop". A spokesperson for Cube said he has yet to finalize a deal, but Eve said she's optimistic about his return. "He'd better [come back]," she joked. "I think [he will]. I believe we are all coming back."
In addition to "Barbershop 2," Eve has landed a role in "The Woodsman" alongside Kevin Bacon ("Wild Things") and she's set to star in a still-untitled UPN sitcom that will be executive-produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Tracey Edmonds, writer Bentley Evans ("The Jamie Foxx Show") and her manager.

dre will do 2 tracks at the most,i doubt if he will do more,,,,,,,SAVE THE HEAT 4 A GOOD RAPPER DRE!

I really wouldn't care if Dre didn't do anything with Eve, I sorta feel he's wasting his precious time he could use with all them Aftermath projects and possibly with them West Coast cats. But then again, if he's out to make some money, who am I to object? It's his life.

I think Eve's shit mixes well with the Dre sound, too.
And regarding Rakim. Damn, it's awfully quiet around him. Looks like Dre be puttin all the effort into different projects and, I must say, Ice Cube over Dre beats sounds quite dope to me!
