no damage done...

yeah they first did DUBCNN and then WCC, DubCCN is still hacked :-\ but Seer fixed WCC :D.

i dont know who, or why.. or what.... but boards fixed.
must be a host thing.. and not a personal thing against me and rud... but host site is still up right now.. guess they wokring thru the hosting sites because in alpha....

100% that our hosts been hacked....

they're running a vuln version of ssh, exim (smtp), and probably a vuln version of mysql unless they patched it

no.. jome thinks the text was spanish.. it was a personal thing against us... someone attacked the host... their sites went down too.
i've mailed them and raised a support incident, but no word yet.

its called a 'mass hack'. kids dont usually know the websites on the box their ./hacking, but target it cause there's a few on there. these dudes probably dont even know about this site, dont take it personal ;D

thanks for links.. i'd applied the fix before i left for lunch today (once our net connection here at work got fixed.. grr)
si i've just applied the updates which fix that exploit... so even tho the forum says its running 1.5.1 at the bottom there, we are actually running 1.5.2.

you applied the fixes after the board was hacked the 2nd time?
if you want, i can take a look at your apache (webserver) logs and have a look over to see if i can find anything

yeah i applied the fixes after the second time.
the host is still looking into the issue and said that yabb may have been the point of entry... now i was running an old version.. but only by a fortnight or so!
i updated the board scripts about a day before they dropped that new fix. (3 weeks ago)
i had been meaning to update very very soon... but ya know how that goes..
theres another new yabb se coming soon.. mostly likely 1.6.0 its got some cool features.. and is even faster again :)
