i dont see why they didnt just introduce the whole cameras in the goal-posts thing a long time ago...then the ref could stop the game and make the call straight away...doesnt seem too unreasonable an idea to me...

That decision was completly ridiculous, everyone could see the ball was in.

I don't like the idea of video replays, but surely they can have the technology to have a sensor along the goal line and a sensor in the ball, so that when it crosses the line it can send a message to the referrees earpiece indicating that the ball has crossed the line?

Anyway, video reply or not, it wasnt that "hard" for the linesman to see it was in. We're talking about 1-2 meters!!
Crazy shit. I cant immagine something like that happening here in Italy! ;D

OMG!

what the fuck were the refs thinking?    first all of how in the world can you be so stupid and not catch that ball in the first place?  I mean yeah he was suprised and ran back and didnt have a lot of time to think about that but just look at him catchin the ball.. no goalie trys to catch the ball in shoulder height...

... after he tossed the ball ouf of the goal you can see that he realizes that he fucked up royally.. lol

I was even surprised that no brawl broke out.. I mean what was that.. the ref can be happy that he didnt get lynched... and at the end of the video you can see Mendes talking with the ref.. but he was smiling...

No no. I mean in Italy the linesman was a dead man already, lol. And a civil war was going on right now..
That's the difference. There, in England, usually you forget about those things after 3 days.

P.S. First Barthez, then the American dude, now this one.. shit is it so hard to buy a decent GK for UTD? We have tons of good GK's here in Italy, even in the second division. For real. GK's and defenders is the only thing we have better than the rest of the world. Just buy a couple of them. We have Roma who was a 3rd division GK here, he went in Monaco and he looks like a fantastic GK there, people love him. We have Cudicini who was the 4th GK of Milan, he went in Chelsea and he looked like the best GK in the Premiership till Cech. C'mon, just buy a GK from Juve's Youth Team and replace that fool. I'm not talking about Buffon.... but even Juve's second GK is better than Carroll
