Post by: white Boy on July 05, 2004, 02:47:53 PM
i chose work a job you hate, but make lots of money. But i think my opinion will soon change, or at least thats what many older people tell me. Im gonna go to college to be a pharmacist. I dont know if thats exactly what i wana do, but at least ill have that degree to fall on... i wana open up my own store, maybe a head shop...

job = half of your life

money = making other half of life better

but if the one half of your life sucks ass, it doesnt justify the lower amount your second half of life gets better because of the money.

so... Job you like, with decent pay.

As of now, I'd choose for my money. As for after I finished my study, I'll choose the other one :)

Doing a job I really would love and getting paid average would be great for me.
If I wouldn't be worrying about rent and money I'd be happy, and then having a job I'd love, would be great.

i am for both but here is why.

I think its good to have a job you hate but make alot of money when your young (highschool through college). Because thats basically when you spend alot of money, and your job isnt your life.

But when your older and your doing what you went to college for, your spending alot of time at your job. (if its a normal job). Long hours, so you dont wanna be in misery all day 5 days a week, youd probably commit suicide after a year.

right now i'm working for a crummy job with bad pay so the question i have is... which would i rather have??  more pay or better working circumstances?  hmmm... i think i'd rather make the same amount of money and have a fun job.  if i could get a job working as a video game tester and still get paid about the same, i'd do it in a heart beat.

lol...

I would go for average pay.

yup yup. finding a high paid job doing what u like won't happen easily, because at the end of the day most people would rather do nothing.

whereas finding a happy medium is where most people end up.

after a while doing a job you love day in day out will wear down on you wouldnt it?

i do know people who do jobs they seem to love, but get paid shit money... but maybe thats also because they're so easy to do? which goes back to my first point.

i guess it depends what motivates you.. dunno about ya'll but at some point ya'll may realise although you need money, it shouldnt drive you.
