aight, so I got some avi movies that I want to burn onto cd's so that I can watch them on my cd player. Problem is, the dvd player cannot play avi files (not that I know of anyway). So I have to convert them to svcd. I am using a plugin for nero that automatically converts the file before it burns. problem is, most movies are too large after the avi gets converted.
So here is what I tried:
I got a couple of avi splitter programs. I split the avi's in half. the first half is fine, but the second half, the sound is out of sinc from the picture. I dunno what to do.
I heard about virtual dub, but it did the same thing (I think) but mostly it wouldn't let me load most of the avi movies for some reason.
any help?
thanks

convert the avi files to mpg mpeg and burn it with nero mpeg2 codec

convert the avi files to mpg mpeg and burn it with nero mpeg2 codec
the nero mpeg2 codec automatically encodes it, but like I said, the problem is, the file becomes to big to fit on a cd.
