Hi, i want to make a best of of death row records for in My car 20 songs from the original death row and 20 songs from the second, realest, Pablo, top dogg,... can you Guys send me Some titles of songs tha you think should be on there? Thanks
-
There's too many classics. You should probably do a 3 CD set. First CD should be 1992-1994, the second 1995-1997 and the last one 1998-2005.
-
Def Row had many artists and different vibes: r&b, rap gangsta so it'll be a hard task.
I wouldn't put much 2Pac in that best of in any case
Snoop doggy dogg - what's my name (long version preferably)
Dr Dre, Snoop - nuthin' but a g thang
These 2 jams are the foundation any way u look at it
Then there is the debate unreleased jams vs released; should your best of contain both of them
in such case u have 2nd 2 none album, Danny Boy songs (recently released) and many others.
Dj Quik (safe+sound album) could be considered Death Row aswell.

I’m gonna make 3 cds, i would include unreleased, wideawake, forthepeople,... and are there songs of albums that are recorded for dr but came out on other labels lik daz, RAW? And are there songs out from the original Sam sneed album? The wideawake version sucks! Thanks

Damn, that's gonna be hard. Yes, the original version of Sam Sneed's album did leak and some of the original songs appeared on that WideAwake version.

Dogg Pound - Smooth
Snoop Dogg - Gz and Hustlaz
Warren G - Regulate
Dr Dre - Let Me Ride
Snoop - Murder Was The Case (Soundtrack Version)
Dogg Pound - What Would U Do
Dre - Deez Nuts
Snoop - Gin and Juice
Rage - Afro Puffs
Dre - Fuck Wit Dre Day
Snoop - What's My Name
Dogg Pound - I Don't Like To Dream About Getting Paid
Dre- Keep The Heads Ringing
Snoop - Ain't No Fun
Dogg Pound - New York New York
Snoop - The Shiznit

Yeah homie I’d suggest going to Miteks YouTube page for all the unreleased gems. Tracks like “Gin and Juice” are way too common so I wouldn’t want to make a disc for you like that. So I will suggest a track list for you here of the most underrated Death Row cuts...
1. “Me in Your World” Dogg Pound
2. “Nothing But a Cavi” Dogg Pound Mack 10
3. “Recognize” Sam Sneed
4. “In California” Daz
5. “Gang Bang Ass Criminals” Daz, LBC Crew
6. “Who Got the Gangsta Shit” Dogg Pound LBC Crew
7. “Soon As I Get Home” 2pac
8. “One More Day” Nate Dogg
9. “Beware of My Crew” LBC Crew
10. “The Shiznit” Snoop
11. “Nigga Wit A Gun” Dre
12. “Murder Was The Case” (Doggystyle album version)

Damn, how could I forget "Beware Of My Crew". I included that and "Just Doggin" in my last "The Best Of Death Row" mixtape i made. Death Row released too much dope shit. The original "Lady Heroin" is another song that I would definitely add to my mix and "Sho Shot" from Rage too.

Yeah, "Just Doggin" the version that is on the Sunset Park soundtrack is bangin! That soundtrack came out right after Dre had made the announcement he was leaving Death Row. And I was still only like 13 at that time, so I didn't know that songs were recorded like months or even years in advance of the release. I was dumb and actually thought Nate was dissing Dre when he sung "...knew a nigga named Dr. Dre... now he's fuckin up the whole rap industry".
Death Row did their thing on that album cause they also gave them Pac's "High Till I Die". Can't remember off the top of my head which label that album was on but I'm curious how much they must've given Suge for such solid Death Row cuts. That was a great album spring of 96', one of the better hip-hop albums of all time. MC Lyte "Keep On" was a monster hit and they had good tracks from Ghostface, Mob Deep, Aliyah.

It came out on EastWest Records. It has one of the dopest Mobb Deep songs on it that isn't on any of their albums. I just bought the soundtrack not too long ago.
