Post by: themovie on June 29, 2002, 08:31:21 PM
I'm not a big neptunes fan,but their work on noreaga's new album is pretty impressive!
Head Bussa's beat is the tightest of the album, neptunes comes hard as fuck on this one.

What do y'all think ?

NO!
Neptunes made these beats on the album, and they all pretty dope. Some of them even bangers:

3. Nothin'
4. Grimey
9. Full Mode
11. Head Bussa
16. Consider This feat. Kelis

The last one isn't that dope, but Noreaga makes up for it.

Yeah I have been impressed with most of their recent work, their beats on this album are on the whole really tight, the Pass The Courvesoir 2 joint was pretty tight, and I really like that Grindin song that they produced. They are really starting to step up their game, and are actually turning into a very good group of hiphop producers.

Well, the beats on God's Favorite ain't wack (except for Consider This), but none of them are bangers, i just don't feel em. IMO the Neptunes might have done some solid work, but they also produced alot of wack shit (Britney Spears - I'm a Slave 4 U...). And I never heard anything innovative by them, their best work is solid. So more exactly:

50% - wack
30% - mediocre
10% - aight
10% - solid

But yo, it's just my oppinion, I'm not forcin it on anybody if u like their shit be glad about it, cuz I mostly don't

aight cuz, but I would probably say
15% - wack
35% - average aight hiphop-beats
30% - pretty dope enjoyable beats
20% - bangers (not nice if heard 2000 times though of course)
