Mine will have to be Raekwon's Cubin Linx but closely followed by Ghostface's Supreme Clientele and GZA's Liquid Swords. I know y'all probably saying what about Iron Man. Supreme Clientele is better in my view.

I think on the real there was never a Wu-tang solo album I really loved. They all had dope cuts, sometimes monster cuts like Meth's gems "Bring the Pain", "Judgement Day", "All I Need", and Rza's killa cut "Holocaust". Those tracks are all larger than life Mega-bangers and were hit songs. But I remember a lot of filler on the Wu-tang solo's, but maybe I'm wrong.

Liquid Swords has no filler at all
OB4CL has no filler but a few tracks i skip
the others you are right about...mostly bangers but some filler

i was with Suge that night, not 2pac. 2pac's alive in cuba.

GZA liquid swords
damn Hack.. you were right. This Liquid Swords album is the only Wu solo album I've found with no filler! This shit is top notch, the name "Genius" fits perfect. Rza is razor sharp with the beats and holdin Gza's back, and Gza is really in a zone on this one. It's hard.. it's intelligent.. it's raw... it's street.... it's poetic... it's thoughtful... it's introspective... this is everything you could want in a solo joint.

here is your next mission, are you ready to accept it?
listen to Fat Joe's "Jealous Ones Envy" album from 1995
it even has a classic early Big Pun guest appearance on it
-
although i still say Fat Joe was a fucking MORON for not putting Fire Water (with Rae, Pun and Armagedon) on that album
-
To Me Liquid Swordz by far. Rae's was great in it's own right but I put GZA a notch above.

yeah man the fact GZA didn't need another Wu member to rap on every song was huge...plus the fact GZA was just tighter than the rest of Wu helped. Beats were also slightly tighter.

lol.. I knew that one was coming

Sorry, can't bring myself to fulfill that mission. Never been impressed with Fat Joe's skills, and I have heard some of his older cuts on XM backspin

i agree with Petey here...it's not going to kill you to listen to an album Brian. trust me, Fat Joe used to be dope in the 90s.
-
shit is real remix was the first song that forced me to fux with him
no homo
also personally i liked pride and joy and his tales from the darkside album was way better then ppl give credit for

What's funny is GZA was never even one of my favorites on WU's group shit, that album is just something else.
-
same here i would consider gza a second tier wu member lol
the cohesiveness of that album was great from sequencing to mixing.
i think rza was smoking some good weed when he worked on this.
-
toss up between liquid swords and OBFCL...for nostalgia's sake i usually go with OBFCL due to it reminding me of the summer of 95, where as liquid swords was released later in the year closer to winter, which was a less memorable time....if any of that shit makes sense

Yeah... The album mixes very well with weed. I actually think that's why I didn't get into the album back in the day when I first peeped it, because I never used to smoke weed back in the day.

no it truly does.

lol that's kinda lame though. Just think about saying to the artist: "Nah bro your album isn't a classic because you released it in November instead of June." ;D

its like my memories of liquid swords were cutting class riding the transit all over town to fuck shit up and my memories of cuban linx was creeping around and getting at hoes for the first time etc. it dont change the quality of the album but the memories i affiliate with that album are epic.

My favorite album after 36 chambers is GRAVEDIGGAZ~6FEET DEEP man I love that album.
Solo album I have to go with LIQUD SWORDS as well it is a solid album where the beats and lyrics go hand and hand.
I'm sorry I can't consider CUBN LINKS a solo album....

i used to argue that shit non stop back in the day and iron man featured raekwon ALMOST as much as linx featured GFK
