I know Dre is listed in the C.V. for producing Joe Beast's "Gangsta", but who produced "California" for Shaunta? It's a shame no official credits were released for this disc, I've been wondering if anyone can confirm any known info on these 2 joints.

i think mel-man...

It might be a Mel-Man beat, but it could be Dre if you think about it. The tracks that Mel-Man produced during this time period where very basic, very simplistic. Hittman's "Watch Out", Joe Beast's "No" and Truth Hurts' "Benefit Of The Doubt" are all pretty much loops with very few changes. 'California' is real melodic, the mixing is signature Dre...I'm thinking he laced it.

i just remember reading somewhere on here (maybe even some sort of credits) that is was mel-man ;d

According to Brooklyn's 2003 interview with aftermathmusic.com, Khalil produced "The Weekend".
