hey guys i have a dvd recorder in my house and i use it to record stuff off the tv. i have the spurs and lakers game where d fish hits the shot with .4 seconds left, well anyways i was wondering how i could record that dvd onto my computer???

depends what type of dvd recorder you have. if its able to be put onto a network, then plug it in and find out how you transfer the files. or you can burn it to the dvd, put it in your PC, rip it then encode it.. use something like gordian-knot 4 u

you gotta have a DVD PLayer on your computer first of all and try using something like FlaskMPEG to rip those Vob's into XviD or whatever format u want

yeah i have a dvd player on my notebook, ok ill give those programs a try, does anyone know how big they come out to be once u do encode them??

i once downloaded a movie (Menace II Society) off kazaa and it was 200MB the quality wasnt that bad either

depends on how long it is.. 3 hours could be anywhere from like 300mb to 1 gb
