The Domino "Eazy Come Eazy Go" skit before Lodi Dodi
what happened on Arsenio?
-

-
Eazy dissed DOC on PPC's Trust No Bitch
The Domino "Eazy Come Eazy Go" skit before Lodi Dodi
what happened on Arsenio?
snoop freestyled and dissed eazy, called his hair greasy and shia.
eazy dissed snoop and dre on dave letterman's show iirc, and also on the howard stern show, where he and dresta challenged snoop and dr dre to a fight on pay per view. if we are counting talk show shia...
me-naj-ah-twa warned snoop to stay off eazy's dick in the liner notes to their album...
-
b.g. knocc out & dresta - compton & watts (long beach is mocked on this track)
long beach is also mocked, by dresta, on kam's down fa mine's \w mc ren & dresta, but the line is edited out
damn what did they say about long beach?
and i didnt even know menajhatwa had a fuckin album out.....
btw this beef was easily the greatest of all time it had EVERYTHING
lyrical disses (numerous)
personal animosity (do i need to explain?)
interconnection (snoop kickin it with atl, kokane and ren kickin it during the making of chronic)
skits
talk/radio show disses
props/characterization (sleazy e, the dre stethascope pictures)
broader context (dre vs eazy turning into west coast civil war)
physical confrontations (montell jordan video shoot)
-
Props on the info
-
damn what did they say about long beach?
dresta mocks the line "compton & long beach together.." from g-thang saying that compton & long beach never got along, and the real alliance has always been compton & watts. dresta also has some more subtle lines that could be interpretted as an attack on snoop, who used to mention how he was in and out of jail as a youth. this is something dresta mocks directly in "everyday, allday".
and i didnt even know menajhatwa had a fuckin album out...
me-naj-ah-twa has two albums out. one after they left ruthless. b.g. knocc out, dresta, eazy & leicy loc all made guest appearances on their first album. yella produced the whole thing.
-
Props on the info Nibs, and by the way what was that Bone Thugs N Harmony song dissin Tha Dogg Pound? Can't remember the name right now...
-
can someone hook up with those tracks

-
Eazy-E - Creep And Crawl is an indirect diss to dre and snoop
Aiight props on the info, does anybody remember that Bone Thugs N Harmony diss to DPG?
-
don't forget Eazy-s infamous appearance on Arsenio....dissin dre in the interview and having the World Class Wreckin' Cru photos during his performance
-
Creep N Crawl:
"I dumped on the little skinny passenger" (snoop)
"A bitch was screaming in a rage so I blasted her" (Rage)
-

in the booklet for kokanes cd
he disses kurupt, spells his name wrong thou.
-
i gotta go wit wut would u do wit E and Shaki. they just executed all em niggas man. i love the end when Eazy goes to a Death Row party and starts sprayin everybody inside. the funniest shit is muthafuccin bustas is bumpin Eazy when they gettin they ass lit. "THIS IS EASTSIDE NIGGA...SOUTH COMPTON..AND I PUT IT ON THE MAP!!" "NOW I WOULD TAKE OUT SUGE AND STOMP DOWN THE ROW" "NOW KURUPT..DONT EVEN SET TRIP...YELLING LONG BEACH SIXXX O BLOOD AND PUPPY POUND CRIP??? REALLY DOE"
"I'LL SMOKE ALL U FOOLS..EVEN YER BOOBOO AND YOUR BABY"
straight from wut would u do
-
thats one of the most underated, never mentioned diss tracks of all time
real muthafuckin g'z, dre day, shit like that is always regarded on top of alot of critics lists along with no vaseline hitemup and other diss songs but this song was just murder on wax, its up there with hit'em up. its crazy cuz everything eazy said on that joint was so tru and it all infolded infront of the worlds eyes that what he said happened exactly.
-
Death Row won 8)
-
Dont Bite The Phunk was the standout song for me
Cold187um's came correct on that song - especially beat-wise
thats a mad G-Funk groove
-
i dont agree with the deathrow won deal. both lables lost in the long run
but in that war, i was riding ruthless all the way
-

But they did win......... ;D
-
who, deathrow, hell nah man
they couldnt be more dead then they are now
atleast ruthless had bone thugs to release out every other year or so, but now they dont got shit either just like deathrow
there just both catalogue based lables now that can make money off tha past and prey for some miracle to make some new money for the future off a new star

I thought they were talking about who won the beef that ended a decade ago ::)
-
But they did win......... ;D
it's only death row fans that claim death row won. anyone that listens to all the songs death row did and ruthless did can't seriously claim death row won. it was unreasonably one-sided in favor of ruthless.
-
Does it matter who won?
-
Any other songs released? Cuz i'm makin a mixtape called "Death Row vs. Ruthless"
i just remembered a great one:
kurupt, rage & daz - puffin' on blunts & drinkin' tanqueray (kurupt calls out kokane and mocks atl and vsop. also mocks ice cube and the lench mob which is ignored. dr. dre mocks eazy, tim dog and luke)
-
Does it matter who won?
it matters for much the same reason historians study ancient battles, and ancient debates whether it's philosophical debates, or political debates...etc.
i would argue that it matters even more now as you have a lot of people that are relatively new to west coast hip hop, that know dpg and pac, but don't really know the beefs between nwa, eazy, cube and dre.
-
Ruthless killed Death Row on wax
eazy was a prophet on what would u do
-

It's only Ruthless fans that claim Ruthless won
ha ha ha. cute.
it doesn't make sense to go back and forth over this. the two key points that i'll reiterate:
a) death row/dpg never responded directly to the counterattacks by kokane/cold 187um; b.g. knocc out & dresta...etc. they basically took pot shots and ran, never responded to the war that they (kurupt and daz specifically) escalated.
b) eazy's disses, especially on "wut would you do?" became prophetic, and have only strengthened under the test of time.
anyway, a compilation that represents this should also include:
"victims of reality" where dresta and nate dogg squash the beef on wax
"ten steps & draw" where b.g. knocc out & rbx get down with q'sta tha don
and luke's "cowards in compton" was a pretty entertaining song as well. mainly because of "verb" [iirc] stepping in and handling the lyrical attack on behalf of luke.
-
Luke is wack
-
luke is wack. but he had a hired gun do most of the rhyming on cowards in compton, it also had a west coast beat
-
i retract my statements about luke's "cowards in compton". i downloaded the track and found it to be much wacker than i had remembered.

LOL

in the booklet for kokanes cd
he disses kurupt, spells his name wrong thou.
"(thanks to) everybody on the west except that bitch-ass nigga Korrupt" ;D
Was there some standout beef between those you think?? U often hear this "Kokane vs. Kurupt" when u talk about this beef...I know Koka come after Kurupt hard om "Dont Bite The Phunk" but did Kurupt ever diss Kokane that directly??
-

kurupt dissed kokane and cold 187um directly on "puffin' on blunts & drinkin' tanqueray:
"i'm no joke, who the fuck you tryin' to provoke
187 it's cold how his ass got smoked
i don't drink no fucking v-s-o-p
i drink the muthaphukkin' og oe
i'm from click that be kickin' that gangsta shit bitch
real niggaz, real g'z with real big dicks
i hit 'em up with the pound, so what you want to throw up
claimin' you're kokane the kavvie when you blow up...
-
Damn...I am mad hyped for this mixtape...u better actually release this Okka. ;D
-
Damn DeathRow vs Ruthless had some of the most gangbangin tracks of all time come thru from the beef.
-

I dont really understand that. "Claiming you're kokane the kavvie when you blow up..."? Whats thats supposed to mean?
-
same thing i'm wonderin' :(
-
I dont really understand that. "Claiming you're kokane the kavvie when you blow up..."? Whats thats supposed to mean?
"kokane the kavvie" isn't the diss. originally kokane wasn't allowed to use his real name on his album. after his album, and by the time of the deep cover soundtrack (which contained "nickel slick nigga") kokane was using his real name "kokane" and had taken to calling himself "kokane the kavvy"
the diss is in the line before, where kurupt is basically questioning kokane's street credibility and hittin' him up on wax. the lines before it he clearly mocked "cold 187um" he even said "cold" in a mock hutch voice. he also mocked the song vsop.
-
Greatest beef off all time 8)
-
ok ok ok it's official
Death Row won !!! ;D
-
fuck that shiet ruthless mafia clique took it
fuck them deathrow slobs
-
Ofcourse, the best hip hop beef in history, and I enjoyed all the tracks, but I have to agree that Death Row won this one.
-
aite i respect ur guys opinions
but i ask
why do yall think deathrow won, because they survived a year or 2 more after eazy passed away?
im a fan of both death row and ruthless records, those 2 lables will always be considered has monsters in the rap games history
ive heard every single diss song that was done, seen and heard all the disses on tv, radio n all that
the music, the hardest shit came from ruthless without a doubt
dont bite the phunk, what would you do, the whole 187um killa ep, ole skool shit, creep n crawl, i mean 187um killa alone destroys alotta the shit deathrow dropped
now deathrow put out a few goodies
bitches aint shit was good, but e retaliated with pictures of dre dressed up like an actual bitch, so to me that was a fly song, but e got the checkmate on that
fuck wit dre day went toe 2 toe wit real muthafukin g'z, yall can argue on which u thought was better
the rest were just a line or 2 in songs aimed at ruthless
also
every thing deathrow did, every time they dissed eazy and peeps went out n bought it, eazy was makin money, all them singles they put out, that puffin on blunts track on that single i think it was dre day, eazy got payed for that, chronic eazy got payed for, every thing dre did eazy got money for, thas why dre day was juss eazys pay day so how can u say deathrow be winnin a war with ruthless when everytime they try n hurt ruthless they infact make ruthless richer, while everytime ruthless try n hurt deathrow, they juss gettin richer period, nobody eatin off em
they really gotta go back n do like a dvd biography devoted to the beef between ruthless n deathrow, go back show it all, interview everyone that was involved get all the real accounts, cuz shit went down n the streets has well, remember bgko n dresta almost batted nate doggs ass to the moon on that def jam video shoot, if bgko was succsessful at gettin nate dogg, think off all the hit singles that would of never come out cuz of the fact nate dogg be eatin out of tubes n shittin n pissin in plastic bags in ecu. thank god he missed,
like to see yall responds, this is a good thread

why do yall think deathrow won, because they survived a year or 2 more after eazy passed away?
i really feel like cats are in denial over that. i can't take claims that death row won that beef seriously at all. i don't think the statements are serious, i think they are more just an act of stubborn defiance. like if you saw your dad get socked in the jaw would you tell people your dad got his ass whupped? or would you make up some excuse and try to deny it?
-
Ruthless won hands down. When Eazy told everyone how it was going to be at the end of What Would You Do? it was over.
-
yup, i felt what would u do, when it came out in 96, that track put the nail in the coffin for that beef
it was juss the real
also
another lil diss i remembered that u can add in here
from lil eazy to suge knight off that song from tru crimes streetz of la sdtk
tracks called consequenses, he says fuck suge knight in there but its censored, there is an uncensored version of that out there somewhere
-
DR won because they were just larger in the public eye. The Chronic, Doggystyle, and Murder Was The Case were all huge albums that smashed on Eazy and his back up rappers. And THAT was the problem, Dre had stars dissing Ruthless, Eazy had hype-men. Now if Eazy could have ran his label like a gang (like Suge did) he could've made Ren and Bone come in swinging on DR. That didn't happen so Ruthless lost in the public eye. That's my 2 cents.
-
yea thas true has well, they were larger in the public eye, back then there was no internet or nothin, but fuck it, ruthless 4 life on thas on everything
-

Real Muthaphuckin G's murdered Dre and Snoop. I don't even remember Dre and Snoop sounding off at Eazy after that besides sublimal shit. After Dre Day and some DJ Eazy Dick skits what did they have?
Real Muthaphuckin G's, It's On, Ole School Shit, What Would You Do were disses that were on point. If you can tell me where they responded please do cause I can't remember.
Yaa so dont even think about stepin in the god damn house
Dr. dre straight busta neva broke a law in his life
Besides beating up ricky harris's wife

yeah ok, he definetly disses big hutch. Just sounds like Kokane really hated Kurupt so I though there might be something else between em...
Hm neva heard Koka refer to himself as "Kokane The Kavvy" though...
-
Hm neva heard Koka refer to himself as "Kokane The Kavvy" though...
kmg gives a shout out to "wicked kokane the cavi" on the liner notes to "uncle sam's curse". i believe i've seen kokane credited as "kokane the kavvy" on a liner not or cd insert somewhere, but i can't find it.
-
The Only way anyone can say DR won was because of there success with artists like Daz, Kurupt, Nate, Snoop Etc. Cause lyrically Ruthless ate em. Well EAZY ATE EM.
-
Cause lyrically Ruthless ate em. Well EAZY ATE EM.
With what? Ghost writers? Eazy didn't even write the lyrics on "What Would U Do?"
-

dre also used ghost writers. are you going to throw away the disses in fuck wit dre day (and everybody's celebratin)" and possibly "bitches ain't shit" because dre didn't write them? dresta, knocc out & shaki handled most of eazy's lyrics, and knocc out and dre were always out in front

-
kurupt mocked ice cube ? why ?
ice cube gets mocked in dre day, let me ride, and puffin' on blunts. there's a recent thread about this. cube didn't want any part of beefin' with tha row. and teh beef was squashed quickly and cube appears in the "let me ride" video as if he hadn't been dissed at all.
-
heres lil interesting fact that is not really that well known, cube always mentions about his theory on eazy got sick, it was the tunnel, a nyc club, well that night Notorious BIG, Puff Daddy, Eazy E, members of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Ice Cube & Mack 10 were all in attendance and were seen mingling chatting through out the night, Eazy was getting props for bone thugs, this was right after the Creepin ep just blew up, eazy was givin cube props on mack 10 and the movies he had and that were comin out, even biggie was minglin, imagine if cube biggie and eazy ever got down on a song.
-

Eazy and Cube were talking about an NWA reunion but of course it never happened cause shortly after they talked Eazy got sick.
Imagine if Eazy was alive today, all these fake ass motherfucking rappers would have gotten shitted on.
