I was wondering. I don't like his arrogant attitdue and telling people that he's better than everyone. Do you guys respect? I pretty much download his album and giving away copies of his album. From listening to his new album, I don't think this guy deserve to be respected like 2pac. Just want your opinion. thx

Yeah, but it's not just mtv groupies..ya know? I know a friend who agrees with Kayne West mainly because she agrees about how rappers
nowadays are just plain stupid. I can understand how some artists aren't "talented," but does that mean that Kayne needs to attack them?
Or show off? He should of just been more humble and said "thank you for buying my cd." I have a feelin' he ain't gonna last that long.

That, and don't forget Kanye might be different in real life. The big ego thing is probably just an image thing, and on the other hand, EVERY rapper that made it big is cocky like that. How could you possibly make it big without thinking you're the best out there? 50 is the same, Eminem is the same, Game is the same, any popular rapper is the same. I can't hate on Kanye for being like that. Yes, I respect Kanye.

I can't stand his music, his rapping is weak and I find alotta his production annoying. The few times I heard / read what he said it was always nonsense. What's left as a possible reason to respect him is that he made it.. but that don't mean too much to me nowadays.

I definitely respect him as a producer, and maybe even as a artist because he's not afraid to experiment. I dig most Kanye records, but as a personality...sometimes listening to him in interviews, it's like listening to a 10 year old defending an argument. That new "All Eyez On Kanye West" special on MTV really shows Kanye's weakness in character. A lot of times he just paused after being asked difficult questions, like he'd just go off on topics he was cool with and then he froze when Sway nailed him with the tough ones. His maturity level needs adjustment for him to really be taken seriously, the way he feels he should be.

Most of his new tracks are "whatever." It's very slow sounded album, except "Diamonds."

I respect his music...the fucking guy puts better music then most of the wack ass commercial rappers out there these days...he's one of those rare mainstream hiphop artists that actually spends time in making quality music...yeah he can be arrogant and has an ego but at least he could back it up...

1) he survived a fatal and terrible accident, and was even lucky to be able to rap again
2) he aint the gangsta type of artist
