Some people get heated over rappers using ghostwriters, though a lot of the big people do it, and I think it works well a lot of the time, like didn't Paris ghostwrite all of that last Public Enemy LP? I can understand how some people may think it's kind of 'cheating', but if it comes out dope, then who cares

I could care less.
as long as they're making dope albums and shit, then I'm happy.

This isn't fair. In some cases a guy might be in the studio with his boy and say "yo if you aint usin that verse let me get that". But when the word gets out all the fans say is 'oh he doesn't write his own shiet'. So lets say Daz wrote 1 song is his entire life for Snoop, Daz could go around sayin 'man Snoop was only hot cuz I was writin for him'.
Kurupt, Goldie Loc, and Game are ghostwriters. No one ghostwrites their shiet.

actually I think both Crooked I and Eastwood ghosted for Kurupt when he went back to Death Row in 2002. Crooked mentioned in an interview that he did, and Eastwood I think wrote Kurupts verse on "Homeboyz" from "Against The Grain" for one.

Good observation.

seems like snoops up there
which aint nothin wrong wit it
but doc helped him write some of his last album

Snoop Dogg has some

Daz - "Murder Was The Case"
No, Daz and Snoop wrote it together. They both said it.
-
layzie bone and d.o.c write for eazy.. kurupt and game having ghost writers is 100% false..
yea, I didn't think so.
DOC does alot of writing for Snoop. I personally could never have another nigga tell me how I feel. To each his own I guess. If you have that type of chemistry then go for it but then you are no longer your self when someone else writes for you your cred is gone. In my opimnion

lol at Kurupt, Game and Goldie Loc.

Bad Azz wrote for Snoop Dogg in ''Tha Doggfather days'' I heard.

I don't think Kurupt has had ghostwriters
he freestyles alot of his lyrics

Crooked I is an idiot. If he ghostwrote for Kurupt during that "Tha Row" era then why did Kurupt still suck? That aint shiet to brag about.
And I think Kurupt used Roscoe's publishing company for the same reason he released the album under the name Young Gotti, he owes money to someone (possibly Suge).
-
I don't think Kurupt has had ghostwriters

the lyrics of all the tracks on this album are written by Kurupt.
he had to use his brother's publishing "Young Roscoe" it is believed due to contract reasons.

I don't think you get much bigger then Dre and Eazy using ghostwriters. Ice Cube pretty much summed up his thoughts on ghostwriters on Spittin Pollaseeds:
Fuck a ghost writer
Sittin in the back, of the studio
Tryin to write a nigga rap
It's the muppet show, most niggas need a&r(a&r)
To tell them how to fuck a hoe
Ice Cube, true mc, write everything I say, even back in the day
Imma spit it, how i feel it, fuck a gimmick
You can keep your catchy lines, imma 'bout to write a rhyme
If you got backpack, tryin act black
Think you know the culture, you'z a fuckin vulture
You never a approached the mic
You dress like a dike, sayin what you don't like
Who deserves five mics, who deserves two
But the nigga wit two still can serve you
This West Coast, flow is different in the East
But in ain't no different in the streets

I could swear that Hittman wrote Dre's shit on Just Dippin'.
Rumour was that Techniec (LBC Crew) was ghostwriting some of Game's mixtape diss tracks, like 240 bars a couple of years back. I'm 50:50 on whether that's true.

I never heard that but I know Techniec wrote that track "Me And My Doggz" on "Tha Doggfather"
-
I've heard that Young Maylay was a ghostwriter, but I don't remember 4 who...
-
Tray Deee & Bad Azz used to wrote for Snoop.
-
I agree with Cube, fuck a ghostwriter, like the other dude said, if an artist is just reciting what someone else wrote down on a piece of paper, he has no business being an mc. If snoop feels he can't write anything good anymore, he should retire and let the ghostwriters rap.
Did dre ever write anything?

I'm old school. I respect the things Eazy and Dre brought to the game. But as far as mcs, they do not score high for me. Especially when mcs play it off like they wrote the whole thing. To think Puff Daddy could not take the time to write a song about his best friend on Missing You and got ghostwriters is weak IMO. Now if you got someone to help you a bit, cool. I get the vibe at times that DOC and Snoop co write alot of material. That I don't have a problem with. But to just recite what someone else wrote, I can't get with that. MCing and ghostwriting don't go hand in hand to me. If it ever came out that KRS or Rakim had a ghostwriter for their favorite songs they would be considered frauds.

yeah D I'm old school too, thats one problem I have had with Snoop, its not just DOC but its Bad Azz, Technic, Kurupt, E-White, all who have wrote for him and I'm probably missing a few more. Thats why even though I'm a fan I can apprecitate Cube, Kurupt, Ras Kass more as MC's
-
Makes me appreciate DOC more as a mc and his song writing ability. I know most give him his just due as a rapper after he put out Heltah Skeltah because of his voice but he is still a big part of alot of hits that have come from the west.

i see your point, but personally i don't really look at them as MC's, i mainly give them credit for the other things that they've done.

definately agree with you, he deserves more credit for that ( yes he's credited in the booklets but you know what i mean  ); he was there to pick up the pieces when Cube left NWA, and helped making hits for death row.
that's why Dre can't/won't put a soloalbum without him.
as far as snoop; i said before that he's so dependant on the D.O.C. and Dre; if he can't stand on his own two feet then he should just retire and start a weed factory or something like that.

At one time I considered Snoop more of a MC. Now he is more of a entertainer. I think he now has to be in a certain "mode" to make a dope song on his own now. But I feel that way across the board about rappers using ghostwriters. And bragging or leaking that you are a ghostwriter defeats the whole purpose of the word as well. I can understand you want your credit for wirting a song. I would too, but that tells me the artists wants to give the impression they wrote it. At least Snoop says hey me and DOC wrote this or DOC wrote. See in R&B this is not a big deal. Toni Braxton had TONS of hits written by Babyface and LA Reid. Same with Mariah Carey. But a actual MC should not have a ghostwriter IMO. Unless it is co written with the 2.

It also immediately makes me 2nd guess any song that artist does from now on if they really wrote it. Like Still DRE. One of the biggest west coast anthems of all time written by Jay-Z. ::)

yes it's contradicting, but i don't see the problem; the song is good so that's what matters right? well at least to me it does.
by the way, i don't remember Dre saying that he wrote it all by himself? or did i misunderstood you (in that case, you probably just meant that you thought dre written it, or his usual "partners"?)

Dre never says who writes songs for him. Yeah that Jay wrote that was surprising at first to me. But the more I listen to it I could hear Jay's rhyme patterns all within that song. Yeah if it's good it's good. No doubt. But what makes the song good is more my thing. If for example you like Still DRE for the beat= Dre, for the lyrics= Jay. So lyrics wise that song was cool, and I give Jay Z credit for that, not Dre.

i see your point since it's such a personal song for dre, i thought it was kind of disappointing too that he used a ghost writer for a song with such a concept behind it.
but if you look at it differently like i said before, the final result is good, so you could ask yourself, what's more important?
we both know that Dre isn't really a rapper.

im not a rapper either but if something like that ever happened to me I know I could come up with something
same thing with Diddy with the song about Biggie he could have wrote something for once in his life too
I don't consider them MCs but they are rappers its a difference

besides, just because he used a ghost writer doesn't mean he did have no control over the lyrics.
i respect that you would do it differently, but you also have to respect that he did it his way; it's his brother after all.
so if this is the way that he's satisfied with, then so be it.

It is the artist's decision at the end of the day. Just like it's my decision if I am paying my hard earned money on a artist's work to look at it a little bit differently if they use ghostwriters. In the end it may not make or break my purchase, but like I said earlier it makes me appreciate the artists that are out there doing it.

Dre having someone else writing a song for his dead brother is weaksauce too :-\
real talk
i see your point since it's such a personal song for dre, i thought it was kind of disappointing too that he used a ghost writer for a song with such a concept behind it.
but if you look at it differently like i said before, the final result is good, so you could ask yourself, what's more important?
we both know that Dre isn't really a rapper.
im not a rapper either but if something like that ever happened to me I know I could come up with something
same thing with Diddy with the song about Biggie he could have wrote something for once in his life too
I don't consider them MCs but they are rappers its a difference
who says that he couldn't come up with anything?
besides, just because he used a ghost writer doesn't mean he did have no control over the lyrics.
i respect that you would do it differently, but you also have to respect that he did it his way; it's his brother after all.
so if this is the way that he's satisfied with, then so be it.
that doesn't mean you don't have the right to criticise it though.
I remember there was a big controversy that Dre got Jayz who was an eastcoast dude like Dnice said to write Still DRE and also about the song about his brother some other east coast dude wrote it
not that an eastcoast dude wrote a song about his brother but just that he didnt write it himself
but its all good man everybody has their opinions and its ok to disagree 8)

I agree with Cube, fuck a ghostwriter, like the other dude said, if an artist is just reciting what someone else wrote down on a piece of paper, he has no business being an mc. If snoop feels he can't write anything good anymore, he should retire and let the ghostwriters rap.
Did dre ever write anything?
so do you think artist who had ghostwriters in rap aren't legengs? easy e? roxxanne shante, biz markie,dr dre, yell
-
This isn't fair.
No one ghostwrites their shiet.
i get with what you saying right here, cause it's been alot of times,me and my crew (and i'm sure the major artist as well) might come up with some lines that they may not even use or just be like i ain't using it for nothing, and yo equal might have a song it goes well with,so you let him have it,to me i don't really call that ghostwritting, even tho if my boy was to say he spit a hot 16 in the verse i would laugh and be like "you lying, maybe you spit a lukewarm 12 but my 4 made yo shit hot" hahaha. it all depends on who you dealing with tho, cause you see when cats is cool nobody says nothing, but let them have a falling out then they saying they wrote everything hahahha yell
-
I don't think you get much bigger then Dre and Eazy using ghostwriters.
But in ain't no different in the streets
what are you trying to say with the quote, that you agree with him about ghostwriters, or that you thought it would be interesting to share Cube's thoughts?
Both.
in that case why?
i mean, for me, it doesn't matter; as long as the music is good i have no problem with it.
If it ever came out that KRS or Rakim had a ghostwriter for their favorite songs they would be considered frauds.
i get what you saying my equal but they are not mc's!! they are entertainers who rap,it's a big difference, plus the song about big that sauce money wrote for puffy, puffy gave him all the things he wanted to express on record, sauce even gave puffy credit for the song too (didn't like wait'n on that royality money tho haha), and of course it would be bigger for krs and rakim to have ghostwriter's because they are the gold standards of lyricist in hip hop, and they claim the mc title to the fullest. that's just my take, i wouldn't put none of the guys who don't write as top mc's anyway yell
-
people who rap other peoples lyrics like Dre, Puffy you cant take em serioulsy when they are rapping sometimes because its not coming from the heart
I respect Kurupt, Crooked I, all these dudes are writing, freestyling it takes talent to do that
Dnice speaking the real on this topic I agree with almost everything he said 8)

you have to realize that these artists are producers first who got into rapping later and were probably coaxed into doing so. I'm by no means a fan of Puffy but I respect his buisiness sense and by the new Danity Kane album sales its amazing that he is still producing these hit records at this stage. As far as talent on the mic Kurupt, Crooked these cats starting battlle rapping so thats what they wanted to do since an early age basically rip the mic. I agree it takes a unique talent to freestyle, but it also takes great talent to write a song, some great freestylers cannot write for shit. Kurupt is an example of one who can do both. Cube is a god MC but as far as I know he is not a freestyler but that does not make him any less because he is a great writer. Snoop is also a great freestyler who also is not a great writer of songs so alot of times he needs help or seeks ghostwriters which I have somewhat of a problem with but I think he is probably the only one I can think of that can get away with that simply because he has that charisma on the mic and his flow and the way he delivers his raps are always among the top in the game

Agreed. Big ups to everyone who dropped some knowledge in this thread. I definitely would not put the artists I mentioned as top mcs, and it's funny to me because most of the artists I either know use ghostwriters or I even thought were using them I never considered them that high to begin with.

Far from it IMO but thanks for the compliment. Just have grown up listening to alot of hip hop and music in general. The whole ghostwriting thing I just never could get with it, but there are many different ways you get someone to either write a song or a couple bars.

i agree.. how are you gonna sit there and let another person write your whole shit for you and dance on stage, singin that hook like wrote it lol
puffys 1 of the greatest ever fuck his side show bizness that he does , on the music tip hes a beast ... he's the most consistent PRODUCER of ALL TIME hes been in the game for like what 14 years? making hit records its dope watching him in the studio doing his thing with the artists

It is the artist's decision at the end of the day. Just like it's my decision if I am paying my hard earned money on a artist's work to look at it a little bit differently if they use ghostwriters.
offcourse, like i said:
that doesn't mean you don't have the right to criticise it though.

Cool, we agree to disagree. I post here like everyone else does. I don't pass judgment Dre. If you have your opinion on something, cool. Just like I have mine and sometimes those opinions don't match. No big deal. Cool as a fan cat.

as far as i'm concerned there has never been any confusion about opinions, as i always respect different tastes/views.
by the way, again, you did judge, as you can see in the quotes above. you didn't judge me personally, but you did make a judgement based on my posts, otherwise you wouldn't respond with what you thought i said.

Dre-Day no offense man but your coming off like an obssessed fan right now
it seems like your going out of your way to attack Dnice just because he is not a fan of ghostwriters and your favorite artist has always used them
when I first joined the forum I made the mistake of thinking that you and Chad were the same person
I was dead wrong and I apologize again to Chad for that cause he would never act this way

that's judging, unless you have a different definition than the dictionary :
4. transitive verb form opinion of somebody or something: to form an opinion of somebody or something, especially after thought or consideration
She was judged to have the best qualifications.
5. transitive and intransitive verb estimate: to measure by guesswork, using the eye or some other sense as a rough guide
You can't always judge people's ages by their voices.
6. transitive verb condemn somebody: to criticize or condemn somebody on moral grounds
i'm sorry for continuing this D~Nice, but like i told you before, if something bothers me i'll criticise it.

I agree to a certain extent, alot of these pop and r&b acts Danity Kane a prime example do not write their own songs, but they are large in large a manufactured product put out there to sell records. Then you have people like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey who are unbelievable singers who also do not write their material although I do think Mariah does cowrites most of her stuff. In hiphop, when rap originated it was basically freestyled to a beat that the DJ was playing, which later morphed into actually sitting down and writing lyrics to a beat. Now we have taken it a step further in actually have people recite others lyrics and rap like they are there own, well I consider it somewhat wack like it is being made into a mockery of some sort. That is a problem I have had with Snoop for the longest, the fact that he always seemed to have these cowriter ghostwriters whatever. As far as producers rapping like Dre, Puffy,Timbaland I don't have much of a problem with that because I do not consider these artists MC's. Now whether they should be rapping in the first place is another story for another time.

snoop is not claiming to be an mc no more, he clearly stated that in fucc'n interviews,he just having fun with "music" now,and danity kane would love to write they own shit, you see more money when you write, the labels rather have they writers do it tho,for obvious reasons, and HIP HOP WAS NEVER NO LABEL CREATED SHIT,until these muthafuccas put the money into it,so of course they gonna wanna control it, but take snoop away from the "business part" and dude would still bust some free's off the top, that's the part you got to understand, his record deal is about "business".
you got to seperate the two. and all rappers from bacc in the day didn't just "freestyle to the dj's beat" cats brought they writtens to spit over them beats as well, ie kool moe dee spit'n writtens in a battle with busy b,and he served him,no d.q. even in those times yell

lol at Kurupt, Game and Goldie Loc. Who are those cats that told you that..lmao
i thought it was common knowledge Crooked wrote for Kurupt on a few tracks?

you got to seperate the two. and all rappers from bacc in the day didn't just "freestyle to the dj's beat" cats brought they writtens to spit over them beats as well, ie kool moe dee spit'n writtens in a battle with busy b,and he served him,no d.q. even in those times yell
you have a point they did also spit writtens back in the day, but I am pretty sure it was their own lyrics and not ghostwritten. About Snoop this goes back to the Doggfather days not just a recent thing, Im fine with what Snoop is doing now he is not really a MC anymore, back in the day he was though and that Doggfather album he had alot of it written by others but I understand his situation just beating the murder case and he had alot on his mind at the time, Dre leaving, the Pac drama with the east/coast west coast situation. I think Snoop just kinda said fuck it and let others write for him because shit was hectic back then.
-
dr Dre wrote eazy-said-than-dunn

Let´s get some shit straight here
I´m getting tired of this bullshit
Scratch magazine;
"Dre is a performer",says Mahogany.
It´s like a class room in the (booth)". He will have three writers in there.
They´ll bring in somrthing,he´ll recite it,then he´ll say,
"Change this line, change this word, like he´s grading papers"

MC Ren Interviews
http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=131032.msg1638806#msg1638806
MC Ren - When that nigga left, I knew I had to pick my shit up 'cause Dre wasn't really no rapper.
He wasn't really no hell of a rapper back then and shit. He just would fill in.
But when Cube left he started rapping more, but I always knew I had to pick it up.
I was writing my shit, Eric's shit,
Dre was helping write Eric shit,
'cause when Cube left we still had me, D.O.C. and Dre.
ThaFormula.com - So Dre actually wrote his shit?
MC Ren -
Yeah, he wrote some of his shit.
He write some of his shit and some of his shit he don't write.
You can tell shit he writes.
D.O.C. would write a lot of Dre's shit too.
You could tell when you hear a lot of Dre shit if DOC wrote it.
8) 8) 8) ;)
doesnt ice cube say "Fuck a ghostwriter" in his songs....

I think Ben Baller said you would write for Ice Cube?
Hittman:
That was something that I was considering at that time, but he already had his writer and he was cool with that.
So that was something I ended up passing on.
:P :P ;)
Did Dr. Dre write ANY rhymes for Chronic or Chronic 2001?
http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=163302.0
Is it really that hard to check the booklet(s)? :P
Notice;
That Dre is NOT credited for writting;
-Let Me Ride
-Nuthin´But A G Thang
-Lil´Ghetto Boy
-A Nigga With A Gun
-Stranded On Death Row
-The Roach
That means he wrote parts of the other tracks ;)
The Chronic(s) credits;

props Chad, I'll read this when I get home, looks interesting

thanks for clearing that up Chad, you even brought up some things i forgot about
It is the artist's decision at the end of the day. Just like it's my decision if I am paying my hard earned money on a artist's work to look at it a little bit differently if they use ghostwriters. In the end it may not make or break my purchase, but like I said earlier it makes me appreciate the artists that are out there doing it.
so does this count for Ice Cube too, since you know now that he has used other people to write for him?
-
shit maybe everybody has writers at least at some point :-\
apology to DreDay
props to everybody

props for solving this; it takes a lot of courage to take such a step ;)

I never knew that about Cube, its very interesting that he would make a track about ghostwriters but then would have them at the same time. After reading that can't really get on Snoop because he has been very open about having writers. I know Kurupt went he went back to Death Row did have people write for him so basically those are 3 of my top 5 MC's who have had stuff written, now I have to find out about Pac, Nas and Face and I'm good LOL

ICE CUBE (August 2006) | Interview By: Nima
http://www.dubcnn.com/interviews/icecube/
Dubcnn: What sparked a lot of conversation in a lot of places was when they heard Ice Cube say 'Fuck a ghost writer'.
Yea I don’t believe in ghost writers. I’ve never used a ghost writer a day in my life for no lyric what so ever. *laughs*
Only person who’s ever helped me with a rhyme is my cousin Del when he did back in the day and you know Mack 10,
WC while we were working on the Westside Connection album we went through a line or two but…
The purpose of being a rapper and having a ghost writer that shit just don’t match. It’s like playing football and you being a receiver but someone else catch for you. I have never used a ghost writer.. Shit it’s like, common man.

I'm gonna have to get that book. I had no idea that DOC wrote his own version of the track, I was always a little pissed that Dre had to get an east coast artist like Jay to write his comeback single but it makes more sense now

not sure what's up with Jay-Z and Dre; seems like they have a certain friendship :P
i mean, it can't be a coincidence that Dre executive produced the kingdom come right?

I've never been a huge fan of Jay but I have to admit he is a great writer, at that time there was pretty much no one touching him around 98-01 he had a perfect single it seemed for every summer during that period, I just never really liked his voice and flow too much. But he and Dre probably got friendly around that time and have remained friends since.

true, but it would have made more sense to me if Dre had hooked up with Nas again for 2001, since they used to be so close.
then again, i don't know what's going on behind the scenes ;)

Yeah but they did distance themselves from each other after the whole "Firm Fiasco" for whatever reason. I think Jay has always been a fan of the whole DR/DPG sound and movement that he wanted to work with them.

snoop has admitted it...and i believe game uses em too..his flow/delivery is somtimes different when he rhymes on certain peoples shit...just go listen to bone thugs ft game - the streets (i think thats what its called)...i wouldnt be surprised if 90% of ALL rappers use a ghostwriter at one point or another...
yea man, I hear ya.

Cube can't say shit since his cousin DEL THE FUNKY HOMOSAPIAN ghost writtin a few tracks for him on his first album.
-
First of all im new here so whut up...but i think snoop is one of the greatest writers in hip-hop!ive seen many shows like the one recently on vh1 with him and game..he wrote his shit there and it was hot i think the song was to the top. In my opinion i think snoop lettin others write for him is a way of give young west-coast artists a chance and a check.Plus u gotta think what hip-hop legend has ever fessed up to having others write for them?So to me its snoop doing what he said puutin the west coast back on the map.Lets be honest how many albums have these ghostwriters put out..but they can say they contributed to a hot album,be it tha doggfather ego trippin or w/e.Also if d.o.c. didnt write on tbct would we still be talkin as much about him? Just a thought 8)
-
bye the way whut a sick ass topic not dumb beef shit! real hip-hop talk
-
not sure how much game uses a ghostwriter but cyssero wrote for game on plenty occasions
and most rnb singers have writers

can anyone that owns the booklet of the War disc confirm this?

It was written by Royce Da 5'9, in the instrumental version of "2001" the name is credited.

New interview up....
Problem Talks Music, Sex, Record Deals, Writing For Snoop Dogg & More!
http://raptalk.net/website/content/view/470/54/
Let’s talk about your writing. You recently wrote some of the songs on Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’ album – two of the best one’s in my opinion in Press Play and Neva Hafta Wurry.
Problem: Shouts out to Snoop because there are 30 million motherfuckers that could have wrote for him. For him to give me that opportunity was big, not only for me but for the Coast. For someone that everybody says doesn’t help out artists, I can name at least 6 motherfuckers that are young and got checks from that album. The whole experience changed me and the way that I do music. When Snoop got on Power 106 and said that I had something to do with the album- that sealed the deal for me.
When you wrote the songs, did he sit down with you and direct it? Or was it all just you crafting it?
Problem: A lot of it was Terrace Martin. He’s probably the biggest influence on me right here and right now as far as everything. He didn’t have to give me a chance to do anything. He used a lot of his chances on me. I could have really fumbled the ball and fucked him off of some shit. I pretty much followed his lead the whole time. So pretty much what he and Snoop told me to do, I followed that – as far as the melodies. A lot of those melodies, Terrace came up with. I just put words to them [Problem mimics the Neva Hafta Wurry words and flow] – that’s all him. A producer when he makes a beat, he knows what the fuck he wants it to sound like. That’s why he’s a producer instead of a nigga that makes beats.
How was it writing Snoop’s life though? That was a deep song and you kind of had to get in to his mind for that one.
Problem: I’m from the West Coast. If you can sit behind a microphone and interview yourself and say that you weren’t a Snoop Dogg fan at some point in your life – then you are a liar. Everybody knows what happened to Snoop from the beginning to now. It was big for me. It was like I was reporting. I caught some flak from it though. I was at a barbershop and a nigga got at me like, “Why are you getting at Suge in that song.” Ain’t nobody getting at Suge. Everybody knows what the fuck happened between them. Let’s be for real. We all know the situation. I just reported what I knew.
What kind of reaction did Snoop give you for the song when he read what you wrote?
Problem: I actually wasn’t there when he first heard it. Terrace was there though and he said that a nigga was like lifting weights. I actually got a chance to sit behind the boards for it though, just me, him and the engineer. It was one of the first songs for Ego Trippin’. It was such a special moment for me, like for this nigga to even care about what the fuck that I think.
Did he change up some of your stuff? Or did he use everything that you wrote?
Problem: Snoop took whatever I did and enhanced it. The vibe on that song is so crazy. I swear on this, I was fucking with a female when the song came on Music Choice – and that fucked everything up because I stopped what I was doing. I was like, “Damn! This is crazy.”
Here's a list that someone released exposing some ghostwriters. The artist at the top is the writer, and below are songs they wrote or helped write.
Jay-Z:
Dr. Dre’s "The Watcher" – ghost-written by JayZ & Rakim
i really doubt that it's true; Dre already had Eminem as a co-writer for that track,
so i don't see how he also would have used 2 ghostwriters :-\
Em wrote it (at least part one) Got to check the credits for part 2.

heres a list of the people who write for dr who
-
people who rap other peoples lyrics like Dre, Puffy you cant take em serioulsy when they are rapping sometimes because its not coming from the heart
Snoop is also a great freestyler who also is not a great writer of songs so alot of times he needs help or seeks ghostwriters which I have somewhat of a problem with but I think he is probably the only one I can think of that can get away with that simply because he has that charisma on the mic and his flow and the way he delivers his raps are always among the top in the game
alot of sense

I think Ben Baller said you would write for Ice Cube?
Hittman:
That was something that I was considering at that time, but he already had his writer and he was cool with that.
So that was something I ended up passing on.

I gotta stand up for my fellow ING native and put in this **newsflash**
To not like Mack 10 is to not like Ice Cube because.......................
Mack 10 has been writing Cube's songs ever since "Fo Life" dropped. :o
(I'm not revealing anything new...)
Do yall remember the "Jackn 4 Beats" Cube.. "Amerikkkas Most" Cube
and especially "Death Certificate" Cube right.. remember how he used to rap..?
Now remember when Cube started sayin "Yay Yay" and stretchin his ends like
"Gotta see the twiiiiinzz.. Rollin in a Beeeennnzz.." -- that's all Mack. (Fo Liiiife)
If you haven't noticed.. Cube has rapped noticeably different on his last few works..
Good Evening All.
