Title: Stephen A. Smith Had 2 body guards on Saturday
Post by: Stone Cold is Bout It, Bout It on December 05, 2005, 11:17:20 PM
Stephen A. Smith turned heads in the press box at the USC-UCLA game over the weekend when he showed up with a pair of body guards.

Smith, host of the much-hyped but low-rated "Quite Frankly" (reportedly averaging a 0.2) on ESPN2, was covering the game with a pair of off-duty police officers by his side. When he went to the bathroom before half-time, one of the bodyguards walked into the men's room with him to make sure it was secure.

Spike Lee was at the SC game with Fresno State and had no bodyguards, unless you count former NBA player Rick Fox.

One veteran reporter who's been covering USC games since the 1960's says, he had never before seen anyone in the media bring a bodyguard to the press box.

  :loco: :loser: :camp:

i use to respect his words but now after watching that damn show of his, his word means nothing to me.  i would choose Woody or Skip over Stephen A. Smith any damn day of the week
