Most of the songs on there are dope .. but don't be surprised game's not 'back' these joints were recorded in 2006/2007 DA and post DA times.

i will leave this forum if mixtape drops tomorrow
Concept, energy and the storyline was dope back in DA days but lyrically GAme is way better now with lines and metaphors...Hustling,Few RED ROOM Joints,Bulletoproof, some LAX songs in terms of lyrics and punchlines Game is way doper..He only namedropped Dre like 2 times in LAX, while DA was all NWA,Dre,LA,Six Tre..
"Im controversial like Afro Pic with a black fist"
"keep talking about my bread/we gonn make toast"
"palm trees and drug lords, all we know is Rocks and Presidents like Mount Rushmore" :o
LAX>>>DA AND DOC Lyrically, its just that it didnt have the EPIC sound or direction..
"Like Dre did, i created a buzz without single like NWA Did" ::)
Line for Line, Game improvbed...People just refuse to acknoledge that becoz LAX was all over the place and didnt have any sotryline.
I think RED will be his best lyrical work. However direction is even worse than LAX...if LAX was all over the place, RED will be all over the planet earth!

Game is just trash..He does not realise that having a wordplay is ness to be relevant...and Not some Gay ass nerd Diliated People or Jurrasic 5 homosexual rap, im talking about some slick lines and witty technique.

3 songs in and this is shitting on red room 8)
-
Kool aid is a great example of songs that will lose its replay value becoz Game has only 1 verse followed by Vaginal Discharge and Menstrual BLood on the mic...Analog to Real Gangstaz feat Sneezy Bone and Hurricane Trash...
Both Great songs but Game having 1 verse followed by puke blended with dog pus just kills the song.
Could Game not write two more verses?
Allways comes dope but manages to do something to make a great song avarage.
Listening to the tape...Dunno man..RED ROOM had so much great potential and turned trash due to features...This could be the same route.
Games mixtapes lost its replay value after YKWII vol 4 and i am still bumping like every single tape..from Charge it to the Game to Who Got Game and all those rare tapes...
-
someone send me a gaddamned link. thx.

This tape is a fucking classic
His flow on Stadium Music is insane :o :o

-
This mixtape is dope! Better than most people's albums.
Like someone else said, RED Room was more of an introduction to the new BWS.
-
What the f*ck happen with the "loop job" on "Trading places".. :-\
-
Wow y'all are overrating the shit outta this mixtape
It's better than R.E.D. Room but that ain't saying much, that mixtape was like a 4/10 at best (I kept 4 tracks only).
Most of these tracks aren't bad, many 3/5 with no replay value...not as many 1/5 tracks like Red Room, maybe that's why y'all overrating this. This is like a 6/10.
The only tracks I find myself worth keeping to listen to again are (good tracks):
Brake Lights f/ Busta
Trading Places f/ Snoop
Street Riders f/ Akon & Nas
Pushin f/ T.I. & Robin Thicke (only kept cuz I keep everything T.I., or else this would have been deleted too)
You are the Blood
Blackout
Stadium Music
Hustlin'
8 tracks kept outta 19... Meh.
-
Stadium Music is pretty dope; Eminem flow, cute.
Street Riders is really good too; Rick Ross flow though? C'mon, brah.
This is about where the tape stops being good, after these two.
Wow y'all are overrating the shit outta this mixtape
I guess after his DISCUSTING singles, anything sounds better than those. ;D

Ya, totally jacked Em's flow on Stadium Music. Street Riders is dope, probably the best track.
Haha for real, the singles (I like It Must Be Me) have been average mainstream music or just complete shit (Krazy, Big Money & Ain't No Doubt About It).
This is an average ass tape.

-
i understand many critical views at game but the whole; hes bitting somebodies flow i cant... He eats that shit whole man.
He is the only rapper that can take other people flow and voice and make it better.
-
Game make other rappers flow sound better? Game dont have the best flow himself let alone tryna sound like dre, slim etc...
-
so you are telling me that game flowing as dre (like the DA) doesn't sound better as dre flowing as dre?
-
so you are telling me that game flowing as dre (like the DA) doesn't sound better as dre flowing as dre?
That's physically impossible.
If he's "flowing like Dre", he can't be "better" than Dre; that means he's flowing differently than Dre considering there is a difference that makes it better.
But regardless, Game's Dre flow is not more enjoyable than Dre's actual flow; same goes for when he jacked Em on this tape; same goes for when he jacked Nas's flow on LAX, etc, etc.
Game has been heading downhill since Doctor's Advocate.
-
best mixtape out...shit it`s even better than most albums!!

Every single song on The Chronic & 2001 are better than every single song on LAX & 70% of The Documentary & D.A. lol.
It's not even comparable.

I believe the point I was making was that Dre is one of the dopest producers but not one of the dopest rappers. I was not making a comparison with Game which would be fruitless and ridiculous.

I actually re-read it & understand what you were saying; my bad.
But yeah, Dre isn't one of the best rappers; his beats carry his work. But the music overall is some of the best ever.
-
dre aint the best rapper but hell nah...hell fuckin nah does the beat carry him...his older flow was dope
-
so you are telling me that game flowing as dre (like the DA) doesn't sound better as dre flowing as dre?
no, it sounds forced
-
ugh, really not feeling this fau rick ross flow he's using on the tape. miss DA game.
-
Alotta games muzik is forced especially post doc
-
this mixtape is alright but it doesn't get me overly excited for the album as its release is still completely up in the air. the current date is as solid as all the previous release dates for this project. all comes down to the production. if the material thus far is anything to go on, it'll be equivalent to or worse than LAX, which isn't very good at all. i lost all hope that RED was gonna be solid after the numerous setbacks and leaking of subpar material. i got a feeling its touch and go whether interscope are gonna cancel it for now.
-
Mixtape is cool, much better than that Red Room shit.
-
I used to be a HUGE Game fan back when he had the YKWII Series, Documentary, & DA but ever since then he has been going downhill. I like some joints on this tape, but I hate the fact he using that horrible Shyne flow for some of the songs. I'll check the R.E.D. album whenever it drops but it's not something I'm dying to hear as of right now.
-
i love the first verse of Ecstasy.. feels like i'm on a trip myself listening to that 8)
-
Do people really think You Know What It Is series 1 to 3 is better than Brake Lights? Hell even Volume 4 doesn't flow this smooth.
-
Action ur feelin brake lights?
-
Game sucks at making hooks. Everyone knows this.
The hook on Brake Lights was the best one he has made in years. Great song.
-
Mixtape is cool
-
Hook on tradin places is somethin else...who is that on the hook?
-

Yeah, I am. This is the first collection of music from Game since Doctor's Advocate I can say I actually enjoy (with the exception of the XO track which I hate). It's consistent though out. It has a dope beat selection. Game is rhyming lyrically, limited name drops or they're used effectively. He's using various flows.
I do think tracks 10, 11, and 12 are average but the rest of them are on point.
You Are The Blood and Stadium Music sound like album cuts and if that's the case R.E.D will be on point.
None of it comes off as corny as was my issue with most of LAX.
-
Listened to the tape a few times now and i def think its games best for a while. Stadium music, you are the blood, street riders, and trading places are the standout tracks that could easily be on an album. The rest of the tracks are all bumpable except for a few like the x.o track, mia
and we do it big.
-

Dre is one of the best rappers? Is you niggaz serious or is this some crack fiend love for a man that blinds you?
What? :o
I mean, eliminating the fact that his lines are not his...The ones that he write...Does he even have any metaphors or punchlines?
Game is not just a rapper, he is MC! Great MC.Specially based on recent BL material,
You niggaz are bugging...Calling Game avarage rapper...Compared to who? AZ? Cormega?Dictionary rap? RAKIM?
You comparing Game to rappers you aint never bought an album...You Just know they are dope and better than Game...but did you support Cormegas or Rakims last album> Did you buy it? Did you make that rapper get his money back so he can release an album again and prove that he is better than Game?
Or did you just google "East Coast Rappers from 90's" and automatically copy-paste a rappers name thats better than Game according to what article says.
And there are allways rappers better than others...I know whiteboys who rip the mic of 5 cans of Heineken the Way Crooked I,Joe Budden and AZ would never have dreamed off...I know niggaz that freestyle of the top of the head better than your favorite rapper...ANd there are probably other kids that are better than them somwhere.
There is allways somebody better than somebody else..But calling somebody avarage is wrong, based on what?

No back cover? No credits?
I'll take a shot at the credits, production shouldn't be hard, but i'm guessing the albums they were cut from, and best believe the majority of this was cut from something, and every beat was considered for an album at one point.

Note - When I say "Mixtape Exlcusive" that does not always mean it was 100% made for this mixtape. It could have been made a long time ago with the lyrics or hook changed for this mixtape or it could have been made for something other than an album. An example would be "Brake Lights" where Game says something about it being a mixtape, but for a beat like that (and the fact that Busta is talking at the start) I doubt it was originally intended for a mixtape. In this case he either changed the lyrics (as was confirmed with "Street Riders") or took out a stashed/leftover beat and exclusivelylayed down the lyrics this for the mixtape. In most cases it can really go either way, so I put both. We do know that most of the Cool & Dre stuff is probably recent and most of that "Ross flow" is probably really new and/or intended for this mixtape.
If you got any changes, do this half-assed list some justice and let's create some real credits for this.

Complex: And as far as the songs themselves, are there songs that you recorded for The R.E.D. Album and then decided, “Oh, I’ll just put this on a mixtape”?
Game: Nah, all of these songs are fresh (except Street Riders, Stop and Pushin It). Everything that you hear me saying is like brand-new. I didn’t take anything old, or anything that was for anything else and put it on this tape. I just went in for about a week straight and recorded a bunch of new stuff. There might be two songs that I had, that I never put out that. I think I went in and finished them and sort of put them on the tape as bonuses.

Recoverey credits?
yeah, the beat is from eminem new album 'recovery', the track is 'amost famous' prod. by Khalil ;)

Game sucks at making hooks. Everyone knows this.
The hook on Brake Lights was the best one he has made in years. Great song.
Actually, I don't know this. That was one thing I've always hated people for saying "He sucks at making hooks."
He's always knew how to make hooks. It's just that some are better than others. Check back early and I mean early mixtapes
and he was making good hooks even back then. So I've never felt that argument. Ok, he's not 50, but who is?

You see, I know for a fact thats bullshit as a snippet of Extacy came out a year ago, and it was definately made for R.E.D.
Other than that, and the ones you mentioned, It's hard to say that he did everything JUST for this mixtape, when he already lied by saying "two" songs weren't. I would say that every song he's got that Ross flow on was probably made for this, as that was the flow he was sticking with for this mixtape. Everything else is suspect.

01. Brake Lights (ft. Busta Rhymes) - 4/5, good opener for the mixtape, Game's voice took me a minute to get used to but he killed it
02. Trading Places (ft. Snoop Dogg - 4/5, DOPE! another good Game/Snoop collab
03. Cold Blood (ft. Busta Rhymes & Dre) - 4/5, kinda short and could have used a third verse from Game or Busta but a cool track nonetheless
04. M.I.A. (3 Heats: Lebron James, Bosh, Wade) - 3/5, dope beat and Game's lyrics were straight but he jacked Bawse's flow
05. Stop (ft. Rick Ross) - 3.5/5, Game could have come harder on his verses but Ross was good and the hook was dope, nice beat too... old track
06. Street Riders (ft. Akon & Nas) - 5/5, lovin' this track right here and happy it's finally out, definitely album worthy
07. HaHaHaHaHa - 4.5/5, I like how the Biggie sample was flipped, Game ripped this one
08. Pushin' It (ft. T.I. & Robin Thicke) - 4/5, smooth track, Game and T.I. didn't have too much chemistry but still a good song
09. That's The Way The Game Goes (ft. Shawty Lo) - 3/5, I give this a 3 cuz the beat is flames and the hook was dope, Game jackin' Shawty Lo's flow = :-X and Shawty Lo = :loopaper:
10. Ecstasy - 3/5, it's aiight, maybe will grow on me
11. Phantom Of The Opera (ft. Robin Thicke) - 2.5/5, redundant "phantom"... nuff said
12. Do It B.I.G. (ft. Yung Joc) - 3.5/5, Game's verses were cool and Joc wasn't bad, beat is knockin'
13. You Are The Blood - 4/5, I can see why people were feelin' this one, nice sample and storytelling from Game
14. Get'em (ft. Waka Flocka Flame) - 4/5, I don't care what anybody says about this track just cuz Waka is on it, this is HEAT... tell me you can't jam this one at the gym or in the whip, even the hook on this is catchy and not that bad lyrically
15. Cherry Kool-Aid [Prod. Cool & Dre] - 2.5/5, mehh...
16. Heels & Dresses (X.O. ft. T.Y Dolla Sign) - N/A I never got around to bumpin' this one
17. Blackout - 4.5/5, DOPE sample and beat, Game killed this one without excessive name dropping or jacking any flows ;)
18. Stadium Music - 3.5/5, it's obvious Game was going for an Eminem flow here but he actually pulled it off, not a bad track
19. Hustlin' (Champions Anthem) - 5/5, Game at his finest
10 tracks I really felt, 4-5 tracks that can be bumped or will grow more on me, and only 3 tracks that I skip so that's not a bad ratio at all... I give this tape a 4/5 8)

I'd just like to say this too, who really gives a fuck when a song is from? it's a MIXTAPE, not an album so I don't see the problems ???

I think the flow on Blackout was like hearing Jay-Z . Hook could have been done by Mr. Hudson.. maybe a BP3 leftover? lol
