I hate it when tight beats are wasted on skits/outros
ie Dogg Pound - Big Pimpin
Even though there was that 4 minute radio remix
-
yeah that radio remix was tight
-
The Intro track to "The Chronic". That was a pretty dope beat (even if it was based around a "Funky Worm" sample, which is kinda overused). Yet it's just wasted on a lot of Snoop's trash-talking.
Also, anyone remember "Pimpology 101" on Above The Law's "Black Mafia Life" album? Easily one of the tightest G-Funk tracks I've ever heard; in fact, it's one of the best beats on the entire album. Again, wasted for lots of trash-talking by Hutch, Kokane, and KMG.
-
last track on ghost unit
-
the mac bible track on tha eastsidaz's duces & trays....crazy beat by fredwreck completely wasted!! >:(
-

thats the first one that came to mind... definiatly wasted.
-
last track on ghost unit
You talkin about for the promo of the "Hurricane Game" shoes? If so, I completely agree. I think Nu Jersey Devel did that beat and it is straight fire!
-
Another one that comes to mind is that 2nd intro on "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss"....."Da Boss Would Like To See You". The beat is bananas!
-
intro to paid the cost to be da boss
-
The Balance+Options Outro, great beat wasted on an outro. Prelude on Niggaz4Life & A Bird In the Hand from Death Certificate are both too short, the Intro to Me Against the World is also dope.
-
tlc - crazysexycool the intro-lude and intermission-lude, that would be a hot track.
paperboy - villa cullah (interlude) also a heater
steffon - intro - trippin' wit no luggage
steffon - open the door - trippin' wit no luggage
me & my cousin - 4 who - international
me & my cousin - fonk interlude - international
eazy e - it's on (dr dre) 187um killa - "intro" (it's better than the chronic's intro)
-
Those kinda tracks were either done after the album was already finished or it was impossible to create a rap track out of them
-
I like the skit, but you can barely hear the instrumental on "Pause 4 Porno". That beat is off the hook!
-
i know this was probably not a "skit". But the beat from the Bad Intentions video when they are driving to that mansion.
-

-
The Raekwon intro on Immobilarity
Raphael Sadiq - Instant Vintage (skit) just check this one the beat is the shit.
-
I dont know why but I never had anything against Snoop talking over The Chronic beat.I mean its quite logical if this was turned into an actual song it would be better than the intro it is now but I still like it the way it was made.
-
The Balance+Options Outro, great beat wasted on an outro.
Thats the first beat theat poped in my head when i read the post. I love that beat i wish he would have used it for a song or a Quiks groove
-
Daz Dillinger - Street Gangs

-
The intro and outro on Mac Mall - Untouchable
-

-
Eazy-E - Eternal E

-
Hustlers Interlude.... off of LiL 1/2 Dead's - The Dead Has Arisen album. was a dope beat.
It's exactly the same beat as "Had to be a hustler" - the first track on the album.
I wouldn't say it's wasted, just re-used.
-
yeh my bad, just played the album and realised
-
Quiks Balance And Options Outro
Dres Pause 4 Porno
-
I like the skit, but you can barely hear the instrumental on "Pause 4 Porno". That beat is off the hook!
Yeah that instrumental is dope. One of the skits off Xzibit's MvsM, sounds like a Dre beat but there is no credits.
-

IT WAS THE BEST BEAT ON THE ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!
-
the eddie griffin skit on xzibits man vs machine
-
I'm going with the beat at the end of The Next Episode video version. One of the tightest beats ever, it's one of those beats that defines the "2001" era.
-
intro in 213: The Hard Way
IT WAS THE BEST BEAT ON THE ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. I was just about to mention it. Wasn't that the only beat that Fredwreck produced on that album?
-

eazy e - it's on (dr dre) 187um killa - "intro" (it's better than the chronic's intro)
I agree that beat could have been used to make a good song.
-
all the skits on the mc eiht's we come strapped album. those was some tight ass beats and the bonus track at the end of the dj quik's under the influence album.

Naughty by Nature - Poverty's Paradise
