MTV Refuses To Play Boo Yaa Tribe Video

After getting a little bit of airplay, MTV pulled the Boo Yaa Tribes first single Bang On which featured Mack 10, off their airwaves, because they said the video has too many gangstas, and too much gang affiliation. Boo Yaa agree'd to cut it, to take out the gang signs and the rags, but no luck, MTV refused again, saying the name of the group alone showed gang affiliation.
Right now, the Tribe's newest release "West Koasta Nostra" has sold 30,000 units with no video, and they'll have a second single coming out soon, more news on that in near future. This week Ganxta Ridd is going to be in the studio with Yukmouth to record some songs for Yuks upcoming compilation United Ghettos Of America Vol. 2. Stay tuned!

efil4zaggin sold a million copies before nwa had released a video.  these cats must have lost an assload of money on that album selling 30k copies with battlecat producing the whole damned thing.

i've always said fuck mtv, and i'll say it again.  but other than the bc tracks and the guests, (kurupt, gail gotti, knoc, wc, kokane...etc) there's nothing to that album.  i'm happy with the album because of the guests and that bc powdah.  but boo yaa tribe as a unit is wack as fuck.

30,000? wow...dat is very disappointing for them cats....C-Bo just did over 150,000 and I bet 95% of cats here dunno nothin bout his independent MobFather album cuzz he had no promotion, videos, big features....nothin....he a hustla....all those features, production, promotional money, everything they had on this boo ya tribe project went down tha drain....they will be dropped from tha label no doubt....not just that they aint makin tha label any money, they aint makin themselves shit....aint there like 6 or 7 members? that's alot of mouths 2 feed....that just goes 2 show features don't make an album....Eminem?? cmon now....yur average joe would think Em's name alone will bring em gold status? 30,000? damm

lol.....umm, I think I would kno mane, aint like he my fav. rapper or some shit and im bacin him up, im out here wit my ears out mane.....he did ghetto gold like 4 months ago which = 100,000.....I say 150 cuzz I dunno how much it's been doin tha past 4 months.....around 20, 30 I assume.....C-Bo sells.....trust that!

Last successful west coast album? MANY.....it all depends wat yur defenition of successful is......ofcourse none of em is successful wit industry standards.....but if a muthafuca comes out doin this rap shit without a 9 to 5.....he successful as HELL in my eyes.....it aint easy out here.....but 04 will build a bridge bac up tho.....believe that....I neva seen this much hype 2 come up.....there will be changes....

C-BO is way more known than Boo Yaa.  Ive been knowing about C-BO since 98, shit I just learned about BOO Yaa last year.  Not too mention Bo has put in way more work in the rap game than Boo Yaa.  Bo has a shitload of albums out.

yeah, I'm surprised C-Bo sells 5x better than Boo-Yaa, but i ain't surprised he sells better and 150k sounds damn good but not literally unbelievable. "West Koasta Nostra" ain't bad and 30k is shitty, but it ain't a too good album either
