Dope track, and a 2001 leftover. Really digged Dre's production style on Topp Dogg.
-
wait this was a leftover from dre's album?
and somehow ended up on snoops?
or was that crossover planned?

Dre said in a interview all of the tracks not used on 2001 would be released some way. Buck Em, Bitch Please, and Just Dippin are all from that 2001 recording sessions.
-

Well that just shows you how great Dre was during that time. That music helped create a slew of hits for easily 2 to 4 years after it was created and released on everyones projects that it was distributed to.

Leftovers? "No Limit Top Dogg" came out several months before Dre's shit.

That does not mean Dre did not have the final tracklisting in place. Once he made his mind up what tracks he wanted for 2001, the other tracks were for the other artists like ones that appeared on Top Dogg, Restless, Marshall Mathers and a few others.

Welcome to 2009

Its funny I was bumpin the Top Dogg album for the first time in years the other day, and I forgot how dope this album was. Songs like Trust Me and Dont Tell are the shit too. Love Quiks influence on the album. The Jelly Roll joint (Party With a D.P.G.) was nice too.
-
It's a classic. Listening to this and then listening to that "Could Have Been You" track just gets me depressed in how Dre fell off. Prove me wrong Dre please!
