Title: What does evryone think of Asher Roth new CD??

Post by: MediumL on April 25, 2009, 04:19:14 PM: 3/5 There was some nice storytelling and a couple trcks that were different but cool. I Love College is still the best track for me but it was alright. There were some points where the beats weren't great and Asher could get a little boring at times but he isn't nearly as bad as some people make him out to be. I'd take this over autotune singing or duets with Rihanna & JT.

Other tracks are more fun from which I like I Love College, La Di Da, Be By Myself and Lions Roar. Problem is the production is too mellow most of the time and he has a really laid back flow, too laid back, which equals to boring several times.

It's definetly a nice change from all the "I fucked that bitch, shot that nigga, in the club".

I'm with this dude. It's my first time hearing dude so I wasn't expecting much. He delivered on about half the goods. The other half I upped and skipped. Like so many artists his two bonus cuts are really dope, more so than some of the album joints - Y.O.U and The Lounge.

Post by: Jaydc555 on April 25, 2009, 07:55:19 PM: It was a decent album.Had a few good songs here and there but their was nothing that grabbed you and pulled you in.I think the reason the album is being bashed so much is because he's the first mainstream white rapper since eminem and when your white in this music you better bring extremely good material or your not going to make it.This album didn't blow anyone away its not bad but its not great.Let's face it theirs a lot worse albums out there then this that don't get anywhere near the hate.

Good solid album. But everything ain't gonna be a bangin' classic. Its not a must have, i'd get it online from amazon cause it cost less. And you darn right on the last sentence. And a lot of those albums should get the hate.

Yoel did a really nice job on the production tip. I can see how some wouldnt like him but I'm a fan. Its a great album to just chill out and relax with. Spark up a Blunt with this and its all good my friends. 4.25/5 8) 8)
