I don't give a fuck what ANYONE says on this forum about X being wack and shit, his new joint "We Right Here" is a dope ass track, that actually sounds like a DJ Premier beat (but is probably not). Get on the audio section of www.y2hiphop.com, check it for urself, THEN drop your thoughts on the joint...
PS: Or else try this link (dont know if it works fine): http://www.madrapper.connectfree.co.uk/rapaudio/aug01/werighthere.rm

No doubt, good lookin' out...
COME ON y'all, more about this new DMX joint (check the link on the first post)
-
i like da beat but he raps shit i think it's his voice dat pisses me off
-
That joint is average, like jay-z's izzo, aint great but aint bad...that joint i've heard on the radio a few times is called "U could Be Blind" and that is straight whack...wait 'til y'all X fans hear it...
-
I LIKED JIGGAZ IZZO MUCH MO....
....DMX AIN REALY MY TYPA RAPPA MAN.....I MEAN HE REALY AIN....MAYBE I MIGHT USE HIZ SHIT AS A PARTY ROCKA...BUT ID NEVER LISTEN TO IT...LIKE I LISTEN TO DA SHIT I LIKE....
-
X Is Nice!
-
I wouldn't exactly say its THE BOMB. Its more like a firecracker.
-
i've liked that song since i first heard it, i think dmx is far from wack and far from a 2pac wannabe, that's what ja rule is, i think dmx is sick, peace.

Exactly what i'm sayin... DMX is tight... Yeah, bring more feedback about the joint, y'all...
-
^^^yea yeah. its like RivieraIII,WCV,AlerG and Me are the only ones who like dmx.
anyways , the song is dope. but its only the single. and X's album has always been better than the single. except "slippin" that was one of the dopest on the album.
and how is this like Jay-Z's Izzo. jay z's whole song idea was bitten and it was really poppy. now if you call this X song poppy then you need to have a check up.

I like DMX also.
His verses are average on this song, but tha beat is great and also he brings some harmony in tha chorus which makes this song OUTstanding.
Tha video of this song is aiight 2, anyone see it?
-
I saw the video on BET. Nuthin' special just like that song.
-
ya, it kinda seems like his ruff ryder anthem video but at night, lol, but u gotta admit its better than some of his recent shit.

I haven't seen the video yet, but u right on the fact that this joint is better than some of his most recent stuff. Plus it brings back the real grimmy DMX from his first album and "Murdergram" (feat Jigga and Ja Rule; off Streetz Is Watching sdtrk), at least production wise. I have a feeling "Great Depression" is gonna surprise a whole lot of catz...

yeh i'm still on his jock since '98 cause he dropped the CLASSIC It's Dark And Hell Is Hot ;D...that album was like a SMACK to my face cause he brought something SO different from the other mainstream shit at the time...plus i was waiting for a solo joint from X since i first heard him on the How To Be A Player soundtrack...It's Dark still gets played regularly...i didn't really like his last 2 albums [both 3.5/5]...but i still like his shit and will probably cop The Great Depression...and i'm feeling that new joint...

I wasnt comparin the 2 in sound...i was comparin them in how i feel about the songs...I said they aint great songs...but they dont suck...BTW i like X too...I dont think he is a 'Pac bitter...
-
oh aight, thats cool.peace
-
me personally i can't stand it
-
Well then fuck me... because this song is straight wack... like I always tell my friends (who love dmx)
they love the beats, but he can't flow... DMX gets some of the best beats in rap and hip hop yet his flow is straight whack! This song is another example.... he loves this one style, where he talks a line, then he raps the next... thats what he does in this song too. Snoop did that on Issues, but that was just on that song.... DMX does it a lot!

These kinda rappers are tha rappers dat make hip hop diverse...
U cant just come out and stright spit like every other rapper, U gotta come out different, dats why DMX is soo succesful, cause he's different and comes hard every time......
-
Yea he comes hard... all the time... but its nothing fresh or new... his rhymes though... are wizzack....
-
Well theres way more worse rappers dat come b4 him...Ex: CM, S DA S, ya know.......
-
Yea he comes hard... all the time... but its nothing fresh or new... his rhymes though... are wizzack....
U should pay more attention to what DMX actually SAYS; you'd be surprised... He really gets down on real life issues for most of his work. Go past the growl and shit, u'll see creativity with X. Dat's my dog! And he can actually RHYME. Not like Talib Kweli but he has his OWN UNIQUE style...
-
Exactly. he's one of those rappers like 2pac, Krayzie bone etc. who teaches lessons in life rather than rappin bout another gangsta party....u dig?
-
gimme an example... my bro has all his cd's and i can tell ya, i haven't really heard one besides Slippin
his worst rap goes like this.. forgot the song, but i remember it so clearly
"x is coming for ya, we be running for ya... cause x is coming for ya...pow pow click clack, x is on your back"
i messed it up bad, but its like that... i can't remember so clearly i guess, but it sux so bad...

LOL!!! U did mess up that track, dog; it's called "Comin' For Ya" and it's off his 3rd album and yeah, it ain't my favorite X joint (plus Drag On fucked up the hook). But check the following for lyrical content:
@@@ 1st LP:
+ Look Through My Eyes
+ Let Me Fly
+ Damien
+ Stop Being Greedy
+ I Can Feel It
@@@ 2nd LP:
+ Coming From (with MJ.Blige)
+ Slippin
+ Dogs For Life (perhaps my favorite X joint)
+ Ready To Meet Him
@@@ 3rd LP:
+ Fame
+ Here We Go Again
+ More To A Song
+ Angel
@@@ Strck:
+ Ain't No Sunshine
And I'm ONLY talkin' about lyrics... There are many other DMX joints I feel for the beats or the rhymes or the flow or whateva... But TRY these... and let us know...
-
Yeah man, songs like "more to a song" and "Ready to meet him" are so creative, but tell tha truth when u listen 2 every lyric carefully, He aint no lyrical genious but he really knows wat he's talkin bout, he has alotta impact on people........yall shouldnt say dat he sux, I cant stand him etc etc. cause he speaks tha truth....
-
ah ah see how ya'll acting fo dmx , thats the same way i'm acting fo snoop , he got his own style to , but now some tryto bitte but it doesn't matter he still one of the greatest..... now u know ;)
-
Im all set with DMX ive never ever felt him...Ive heard all his cds....Maybe 1 song i could bump on each one

u right on that... Like i said before he ain't no lyrical Black Thought, Ras Kass, Talib Kweli or Guru for that matter but he CAN rhyme and he actually SAYS SOMETHING REAL...

This is one of those good tracks at the time that grows on you and becomes great.
