Here you go, pimps. Please know that this was never meant to leak. I think some dude overseas leaked it. Anyway, please spread the promo for this as well as 'Shawshank' any and everywhere you can. There will be far greater Dre-produced tracks on Bishop's official debut "The Reformation (God Damn Nigga, It's About Fuckin' Time!).

Major Props. About to listen.
-
haha, you did it. I'm the fourth to dl it, now that's cool. Bishop is dropping so much heat, its crazy.
-
File not found :-(
-
You were right, a really disappointing track. I was thinking it was going to be a harder track by the track title.
-
That Instrumental was not meant for Bishop at all (i love it tho, needs thicker synths). But fuck it, Let's Dominate!
-

lool!
Bishop HATES this song. Thank God the Reformation Dre-songs are amazing. I think some Indonesian kid leaked this, haha.

Dre's verse was weak, (19 inch biceps built to bang) = super homo
i was expecting the song to be on some harder shit

Check the Dre CV in The Vault. I updated it earlier.

Bishop is dope on this ..It's a shame that good guys always get fucked over. Has Bishop ever been locked up ? I bet not . Scum like Slim tha mobsta get huge breaks because of who they know , so he lives in a mansion now. He will get his shine hopefully.

lol.... slim the lobster is a desperate excuse to be dre's next right-hand mand since Bishop left. Why you think he tried SO hard to sound like Bishop on that 50 song? I really can't wait 'till ya'll see what Bishop has cooked up for The Reformation There are SO many suprises on that album that I'll prolly be killed for spilling any beans... but I can atleast say... that Dre is FAR from over with Bishop Lamont.

I'm glad Dr. Dre realizes what a genius Bishop is when it comes to creating songs. I actually like I Dominate minus the chorus.
-
^^ Exactly. Dre would be a fool to let go of Bishop's hardcore talent and replace it with some techno BS just 'cause Iovine thinks it'll sell.
-
"Kush" isnt techno.. plus, u havent even heard "Detox"..
-
"Kush" isnt techno.. plus, u havent even heard "Detox"..
Well, I've heard a version of it that nobody will ever hear... unless Bishop gets drunk and gives me the greenlight to please fans, haha.

There will be a way! Just like with Mortal Kombat and Team Americq UNTAGGED. Bishop is determined not to let fans down.
-
Bishop Lamont don't like this song?
That's cool but this is far superior than Kush. This is dope even if Bishop doesn't like it. Killer beat, hear that guitar? Dominate chorus, dope vocals, decent subject matter. Some of the lyrics could be better but aye for a party track it's on point.
keep giving us the news on Bishop & Dre's future recording sessions.
-
Beat is a banger, but a bit of a disappointed compared to the hype around this track.
-
Ugh, I'm sick of these un-mixed tracks.
-
I can't get over how different of a vibe this is for Dre . I like it , and I bet it's a grower as well .But , I've just never heard anything like this from him .Bishop rips it up . I could picture what the video would've been like .

We'll I'm glad you liked it. I honestly didn't think anyone would like it. The new ones Dre did with him are SO much better.

They actually planned a video for this to be filmed in the carebbean with 100 naked women and 300 pounds of weed with 200 bottles of liqour.
-
The new ones Dre did with him are SO much better.
Well none of has heard those songs so we don't know how many levels these two have gone up since I Dominate was recorded.
Props for the song BTW 8).
-
Props for the song the beat is cool, not really feelin the hook. The guitar sounds dope as fuck though. 8)
-
Dope ass track... I dont know why bishop aint feeling this...This was recorded back in 2007 right ? or was it early 2008 ?... This could have been a big ass smash in the club.. Im diggin it though
-
Definately on a Timbaland vibe here . "Big Pimpin " was very similar , but I think this track is better . If Jay Z was spitting on this with Dre , I bet Interscope would've put it out with confidence . But , since Bishop isn't established , ofcourse the label won't take any risks .Interscope won't back up fresh talent.
-
phat leak here :bandit:
MAJOR props 8)
expected something exactly like this, but with perhaps harder drums and some deep piano going on too. coulda been a major banger, but isn't bad as it is. i can understand why bishop doesn't like it. does have a similar tribal kinda vibe to 'oh my god' and some other joints. most similar sounding track dre has done is that 'fire' joint for 50. whoever said dre's lines are kinda homo most definitely! built to bang? his voice sounds a lot better than the whole drunk/angry flow on kush though.
whatever, glad to hear bishop has better shit lined up. with dre too!!! dre can redeem himself from the bishop situation a little if he passes bishop some new heat. i think the reason why people (me included) wanted to hear the track cause it was a confirmed finished joint. give people the names of any other tracks and they'll be anticipated to the same degree.
the new dudes - i think hayes will get an album out in the end but slim the mobster absolutely no way...
-
Props for this Rebel 8)
Bring on The Reformation.
-
This shit is dope as fuck.
idk why dre and bishop wouldn't like this.
ok so the lyrics are little cheezy in places...
but either way this is sick.
I Dominate >>> Kush. imo, of course.
-
shit is bumping man, Bishop always comes through man, he is the hip hop hero for peeps still needing that dope shit
-
"Kush" isnt techno.. plus, u havent even heard "Detox"..
Well, I've heard a version of it that nobody will ever hear... unless Bishop gets drunk and gives me the greenlight to please fans, haha.
leaking alternate detox cuts!!! someone lock these guys up pronto :cow:
-
i have been waiting for this track, nice to finally hear it
that guitar is amazin! good stuff Bishop! 8)
-
Track is Banging! Had this on repeat at work all morning, can't wait to get home and bump it in the beats! Reminds of Busta & Missy 'This is how we do it over here' I can see why Bishop and a lot of people won't like this, but its a banging Dre club track, and that's something of a rarity these days. Bishop's an absolute beast, yet another track that could of been a massive hit.
Really can't believe that Def Jam or Roc Nation havn't signed him yet. Bishop is such a good all rounder, he should be a star by now and it really pisses me off to think that Bishops no longer recording with Dre, but slim the lobster is! He releases pretty much no music and when he does it's horrendous.
-
Dre's verse was weak, (19 inch biceps built to bang) = super homo
i was expecting the song to be on some harder shit
Rebel explained a few times what the song was like. plus bishop said before that it's a poppy song
it is indeed awful.
by the way, Rebel, is Nikki Grier featured on this song, or is it someone else?
-
it is indeed awful.

there not supposed to leak because bishop doesnt have permission to release them, everything hes recorded at interscope with dre or whoever hes basically stolen and the only way they will ever be released is through mixtapes and the internet. its the whole reason why he got dropped in the first place
-
I like it.
-
!!! this is the reason why i stay tuned for Bishop! he always gives his fans something every now and then.
-
it is indeed awful.
-
"Kush" isnt techno.. plus, u havent even heard "Detox"..
Well, I've heard a version of it that nobody will ever hear... unless Bishop gets drunk and gives me the greenlight to please fans, haha.
what are the odds that he ever gives you that green light?
and when is reformation supposed to drop?
-
its no bad to be honest...its quite good
-
:monkey_dance2: pretty good
-
What a pile of horse shit.
-
What a pile of horse shit.
hahaha, lol...mau strikes again
-
not what i expected but still nice to hear finally! thanks
-
DRIP DROP :D
Ugh, I'm sick of these un-mixed tracks.

Goddamn N*gga It's About Fucking Time is the greatest album title of all time.

Wow been wondering what this track was gonna sound like. Didn't like it too much at first but it's growing on me. The beat is a killer on subs 8).
Good to finally hear a track with Dre And Bishop, after all the years they worked together.
Thanks Alot Rebel 8)

obviously there isn't any more audio data in here, i just use 320 to minimise quality loss when re-encoding. but hopefully the perceived quality is higher, matty's special sauce :bandit:

I'm glad I got to peep this finally and the curiousity is over. Very satisfied with it . I wonder how many other gems we will never get to hear ?

This is one of those frustrating tracks that has some good bits and some horrible bits
It could be a cool track if it was revamped and bits changed
All the vocals are either awful (the chorus, the female bit, the "she gone make a trip like" bit, or whatever is being said there)
or just forgettable (the verses)
Parts of the beat are dope, like the tribal sort of drum sounds, the guitar part, the odd rhythm it has...
But the keyboard bit at the beginning sounds like someone who doesn't really know how to play the keyboards
And it could do with a hard snare in there
This to me sounds like a less successful version of Missy's "Get Your Freak On" or some Beyonce song
The general idea is better than Kush, but Kush is better executed at the end of the day
-

Very awkward track. Bishop actually sounds nice on this (vocal wise), still could expect some more energy from him.
lol.... slim the lobster
Again, not the most objective thing to say. Props for the hook up though

Well from what I remember reading they flew to Hawaii to make the video and decided last minute to pull the plug cos Bishop and Dre both didn't llike the song or I guess the general direction it would take the aftermath sound. Believe me if this had dropped and been pushed by the Interscope machine 2 years ago shit would of been huge, this type of music is all over the radio now, would of helped Dre keep his status as a game changer, but tarnished it if he made Detox or Reofrmation sound like this.
I find it interesting that there's still tribal sounding drums in there, Bishop's album must of had a heavy tribal sound at one point

there are a lot of tracks with that tribal sound and more specifically bishop's brand of tribal sleaze. seems to have been a theme for a lot of the original reformation material - africa, oh my god, freak freak y'all, i dominate, feel on it etc...

Yeah they're the tracks I was thinking of. I for one didn't dig the majority of them, people loved Africa and Feel On It but for me they didn't knock at all. It seems his directions changed recently but either way Reformation (God Damn Nigga) is definitely one of my most anticiapted albums at the moment
-
I've always liked the general direction they were going for with the African tribal influences. The rhythmic chant like drum patterns and various sing-song instruments used (usually the addition of a flute) allow a great backdrop for a story to be told; depending on the structure it can make for a great party track or a great lesson in morality. They just never mastered it or there were elements missing to take it to another level.

this song could only be this hot on dubcc. tha beat and tha hook is cool but not tha lyrics, it doesn't fit Dre or Lamont really.
it sounds like they were on some "fuck it i need a single" shit (like Nipsey's singles, "hussle in tha house" was hot tho). it's a grower, but not something i'd be playing 5 years from now. who knows, i couldn't tell u.
it's just not that great of a song. that's all. i'd party 2 it tho if it came on at a club or somethin' and sing all tha lyrics n shit.

unfinished version? that's surprising because this track already sounded a lot more finished than some of the other stuff bishop's been leaking.
-
let's hear it ...I wonder if this is the best of the old stuff as far as Bishop and Dre collabing , or is there that one dope track that would've been massive ?

Bishop>>>>>Kendrick>>>>>>Hayes..Bishop has more writing skills and mic skills than both of these rookies
-
Bishop>>>>>Kendrick>>>>>>Hayes..Bishop has more writing skills and mic skills than both of these rookies
I agree with that order
-
Where does Slimm fit in that order ?
-
heres my take on it... it's missing a radio friendly adlib at the beginning like "GET YO ASS ON THE FLOE!" in a super cool voice like they do in the radio ads or at the mullet big monster wheels shows :P and bishops first like 8 bars sound to hardcore for a party joint, but then he switches it up in the same verse to a party verse with a little swag splashin. that was my problem with ras kass he would be too lyrical and complex for a party joint, instead of being charasmatic.. picture kurupt remaking jigga's brush your shoulders off " nigga im tyrannasaurus crash my ford taurus i be big foot runnin with no draws butt naked in the forest
rest imho, is coo!

Tht slim da mobster quote from bloodmoney is ridiculous. There's no way u could justify that.
actually yes I can... I said that Nigger Noize was a classic street album, which it is because it's dope from front to back, and The Confessional was good for the most part, but pretty much everything following after from Bishop is WEAK especially that Team America w/e it was called bullshit
Slim on the other hand may not even have a full mixtape out but he showcases why he's a better match for Dre's sound with only a few songs, dudes need to listen to "10 Gat Commandments", "1000 Gram Man" , "Cold Out Here" (very dope song), and his freestyle over "New York, New York"... I don't see how anybody can say "I Dominate" is better than ANY of those except that it's a Dre track ::), this is fucking wack and everyone knows it
while it may not be fair to say Slim is a better overall artist right now, he has the potential to be so and he will def sound better on Detox than Bishop would have
EDIT: CalTroit was also solid in Bishop's defense, maybe a personal classic for me

I laugh my ass off, but hey opinions are like assholes.
After The Confessional: (some songs might have been released around that time / closely before)
U Ain't Fresh (ok, snippet leaked in 2007)
Your Lover
Gone
Blow Your Mind
Change Is Gonna Come
Hollow Eyes
Home
Rain
U Scared
Pass That
Niggas
My Mama
Hallelujah
Exclusive (I Got It)
Friends
Bitches On My Dick
Nothing Could Be Better
I'll stop now .. If this does not indicate that Bishop always brings quality I do not know what planet you come from. While the best songs of Slim might be slightly better than a few of my list, the list shits on Slim's whole career so far.
With that said, I think Slim is not bad, It's Cold Out Here is a dope song, like a few others. But he's a simple street rapper with no content, if you ask me. I have yet to see if he really has talent.

Disregarding my personal opinion that the tracks you brought up are weak....
What's funny is that you were trying to say that Slim has more potential and Bishop is weak now by referencing a track he made years ago and doesn't even like himself
Also funny that the Slim songs you mentioned were made before The Confessional
I fail to see the logic in concluding that 3 songs (2 of them over 4 years old) from Slim is more impressive than Bishop's entire catalog.
-
Look, Slim is probably dope but we don't have much material to base a solid opinion on. He's been working with Dre or his associates so I'm sure he's improved and I doubt Dre works with horrible people - Game wasn't great on the pen game but was always a strong vocalist.

those tracks i named aren't weak... say what you want about Slim's delivery/flow, but then look at Bishop as well
Slim does have more potential WITH Dr. Dre's sound just based on his vocals/subject matter, Bishop honestly didn't sound that great over Dre beats but that's just my opinion

nothing special, I don't even have it downloaded

A fairly decent track from Bishop and Dre, but not what I expected the song to sound like. I thought the title implied something harder and raw, and didn't consider that it would be a club-like track.
I'm not sure if this would have blown up had it been released as Bishop's main single, it's good but it's missing that one thing that could make it a smash, and I can't put my finger on it. I can see why Bishop disliked this track as well, because it's quite unlike his normal style. Good for the collection though.

Imo they are weak...but I said disregarding personal opinion. How do a couple 4 year old songs show more potential than Bishop's entire catalog? Are you saying those are better than Bishop's best songs?
And as far as I know we haven't even heard Slim over a Dre beat yet.
Looking at just his subject matter I'd say Slim has no potential in today's mainstream game. How is rapping about gats and drugs for the millionth time gonna sell? At the very least Bishop has shown us he's capable of rapping about a variety of topics. Slim may have that same potential, but he hasn't shown any of it yet. Based solely on the few songs we have of his, he has very little potential.

Off topic, here's a far superior song with the same name: Cold Out Here

Slim has your typical gangster subject matter (Game, 50) but Bishop is just as limited. All he raps about is how rap sucks or bitches.

that's not really true.
some songs are about that, but not all.
just some examples:
grow up, hollow eyes, can't figure it out, your lover, change is gonna come
these aren't about the subject matter you brought up & this is just a few examples
-
Grow Up and Hollow Eyes are again basically about fuck rap and the industry. Can't Figure It Out is dope no doubt.
-
Slim has your typical gangster subject matter (Game, 50) but Bishop is just as limited. All he raps about is how rap sucks or bitches.
That's incorrect and you know it unless you've skipped over most of his music. Can't Figure It Out, Everyday, Sometimez, American Dreams, Home, Friends, Anything, Land of the Free, Change is Gonna Come, etc. That's in addition to the standard topics that every other New West rapper does.

That was all early mixtape shit. I'm talking about his official attempts at singles or what we've heard from the alleged album so far (Bitches On My Dick, Feel On It, Grow Up, If You Don't Know The Code...). Even his Dre ghost written songs were typical Dre subject matter, really expected something different from him. Just my 2 cents.

you can't blame Bishop for Dre's subject matter, he just writes about what he's asked to do.
anyway, the mixtape argument is bullshit. you stated in the other post that bishop's subject matter is limited, which is not true.

Another statement that's blatantly incorrect. Half of those songs I listed were from this year.
Are you seriously gonna call him limited based on his "attempts at singles"? I mean look at what you just said: "attempts at singles." They are obviously intended to be more appealing to the mainstream. Its funny cause two of those songs you called singles were never pushed as singles. That's one of the reasons I like Bishop, because he can make songs targeted at the mainstream and also speak on some real shit. In that sense he's actually less limited than the artists who only do one or the other.
And are you seriously complaining about one song he ghostwrote for Dre? (cause one song is all we've heard so far right?) How does that have anything to do with Bishop's subject matter? He wrote a song for the man who has rapped exclusively about blunts and bitches his whole career.
-
Well for one Rebel claimed how Bishop's version of Detox was different that what we're hearing now, as in more conscious or whatever, when the so far leaked ghostwritten songs prove otherwise. My point I was trying to make, maybe I said it a wrong aspect, that Bishop's subject matter was becoming more and more like your typical mainstream artist. He went from Caltroit to his last single being a track called If You Don't Know The Code and wanted to feature 50 Cent. Change in subject matter much ? Or Feel On It, the track that was the first representation of The Reformation album. That's why I've been always saying that he should go independent, get some beats from Black Milk, Elzhi... that's his lane. I just don't think he got what it takes to be recognized on a mainstream level and him getting dropped was basically a great thing for him because he was turning into another 50 Cent at Aftermath.
So basically Bishop's Aftermath subject matter is limited.
-
Now that's a way more reasonable argument to make. I still have to mostly disagree though.
Imo he's become way more versatile and a much better artist during his time at Aftermath. Pre-Aftermath we had Who I Gotta Kill to Get a Record Deal, which was way more limited content-wise than any of the street albums he dropped while on Aftermath.
As far as the supposed singles for The Reformation, well they were intended to be singles. He isn't going to be speaking on some serious issues for a song he was trying to get some airplay off of. Bishop has never been a completely conscious rapper. He's not exactly a commercial rapper either. He's a little bit of both mixed together and I think the music that has come out over the years shows that perfectly. My guess is that The Reformation would have been a healthy mix of mainstream tracks and serious songs.
Even off Aftermath I doubt he will stop making those mainstream goofy tracks. After all he's been doing it his whole career.
-
He isn't going to be speaking on some serious issues for a song he was trying to get some airplay off of.
Exactly, plus Dr. Dre produced lead singles aren't usually the type of beats you can spit lyrics like Everyday on.
-

Vito Iragorri was just taliking on KMEL radio in Northern Cali and said a few things about Detox .The DJ's were all over his ass about Dre's album , but he deflected most details . He did , however , say a few things about the potential tracklisting of Detox ...He said that the tracklisting is selected and the album is almost done as far as mixing ..The cover is neon green and black ( funny how that is opposite of the 2001 album ). Xzibit , Ice Cube , and Nas made the final cut , but many more features from the east are on there as well .So that means Jigga and Beyonce , I bet ..East Coast repped strongly on this album , GUARANTEED . He also said February was just a rumor as far as a release date goes.. VITO
