well naturally there will be tags. Its a mixtape, maybe down the line we will get an untagged version....But im not too worried about it. Skee is usually pretty good with that kind of shit. As far as flex, Im not sure how much it will be but.....Tags are just another reason to complain and its really not a big deal....Try not to let it bother you.
Anyone know what time in the UK it will be when its released?it's GMT -8 in LA, so 20 min after after midnight

That song leaked awhile back. The complete version but the mixing was a little weak on it for some reason. I forgot what they titled it. Maybe someone on here has it and can upload it for you. I used to have but I lost it when my PC got rebooted.

The Denaun Porter track is cool too which also features Kurupt who is not credited.

By the way, for those downloading the DubCnn link, track 3 on the first disc is corrupt. It won't let you extract it. This mixtape is fire.

The Kill, L.A. Times & R.I.P. Story are dope. The rest is average/"whatever" to below/"bleh".
West Coast forum though, I guess I should expect big support for it by most of you.
MOON KNIGHT summed it up in two words, "Not bad". May bump a few songs a few more times, but that'll be about it. The beats aren't very special, his lyrics have been identical for years & years now. Style just went stale. If some of you guys can fuck with the same sound over & over again, you're entitled to do so.
its gonna suck.

Pretty much every rapper has their own style and it hardly varies. He's trying different styles but gets knocked for doing so. Some worked for him and some didn't. That's the problem with a lot of fans is that they don't allow their favorite artist or artist they enjoy to grow.
Anyways, back to this mixtape. Done with the 1st disc and it's pretty good. Don't know why "Children's Story" is on this though. It was on a previous mixtape. Hate the hook on "Suu Wuu" though, lol.

Well by your logic maybe he should try doing a country duet with Garth Brooks or maybe a rap song on a Muppets album with Kermit The Frog. ::) Artistic growth is one thing....but shit is still shit no matter if you like the artist or not. Tommorow Game could release a track of him pissing in the toilet and you'd have the same dickriders saying "The Game is back" blah blah blah blah blah blah.
its gonna suck.

I don't know how many true Game stans like that are left. But I mean certainly if people think this mixtape is something special then they are giving it some personal advantages & that's fine. I guess we all give our favorite artists more props regardless of the work.
When you're a rapper like Game, you're music is based off of making great songs. Game, lyrically is just miserable. So in order for him to stand out, he needs stand out tracks. He needs a great beat, with a really nice hook, his flow has to be on & he has to make something with a message. Like most of his work on "Doctor's Advocate".
He isn't making a stand out tracks by recycling the same "six-fo'", "Cali weed", "grippin' chrome" & namedropping lines & he can't carry himself lyrically on a one disc mixtape, let alone a two. So it can't work for him.
Game is only good when he's making meaningful, album-worthy songs & he isn't making those on a mixtape.
its gonna suck.

LMAO, you're an idiot. Where in my "logic", as you stated, does it say that he or any rapper, should try doing a Country duet? Hell, since you brought it up, if an artist wants to do a duet with another artist from a different genre, why not. If it comes out dope cool, if not, atleast the artist knows that it didn't work. Being artistic means thinking outside the box and taking risks. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But that kind of "logic" might be beyond your pattern of thinking.

First of all you lose this one by starting your response with an insult. Secondly your "logic" is flawed..if you call jumping on the bandwagon of any current trend in music, imitating other MC's voices (which used to be considered biting) & throwing alot of crap at the wall growth, nothing I can say will make sense to you. Obviously you never said anything about a country duet or Kermit The Frog. I made a hypothetical example of the point YOU were trying to make about "trying different styles". Get it ???
& All of this coming from someone that has a pic of some dudes bloody nipples in his avatar. GTFOH. Better bring your A-"Game" if you wanna come bark at the big dogs Junior.

You have a valid point but when he made DA he had a number of trials and tribulations that he was going through. Those things gave him mad substance for his album and it made a huge difference but these days its like hes just making music that he can vibe and smoke to which I dont blame him for doing. Why not make music that makes you feel good, contraversy sells but is it worth the drama?
his last 2 albums weren't all thatThis is standard Game. He will leak shit that you all hate that won't make the album. Get everyone thinking he's wack etc. Then out of no where dude drops fire gets the whole web buzzing and drops an album. I'm sure by now game will have a single up his sleeve. Shit he's got enough producers and guests he's worked with over the last year and a half
Your right, he always does shit like that.
I have to admit I haven't been up on Game's music for a minute, totally forgot about him to be honest. But the positive feedback that this mixtape has received makes me want to download it. I just listened to a few tracks on YouTube and they sound great.

Those joints that have DJ production credits from Shake and Haze are recycled tracks that Game jumped on. The DJs just probably mixed them up for him.

Have to hand it to Game, he's really looking out for his fans tight now, what other mainstream artist gives his fans 40 tracks in 3 days?
Game delivered this time.

Agreed. He might be bi-polar, he might name drop, he might do a bunch of things many of us dont like, but at the end of the day, as Doug E Fresh said on that History track, Dude got his heart in the right place.

Thats whats up. I wonder what the other tracks are gonna be. Hopefully he will put the single to RED on there to get the ball moving on his album.I'm just guessing but I think we're gonna get White Soft Porn, Would I Be Wrong, Hey Hey and maybe the full version of Higher with Nas. The rest probably all new tracks.

Wish he would release that track he did over the that beat at the end of the Cali Love videoYeah I wish homie, Skee has the full CDQ/Dirty version, he was gonna leak it a couple years ago but never did, if that dropped tomorrow it would make my fucking week ha
yeah unless you get paid by game, i don't see the point of defending him until unfinityhis last 2 albums weren't all thatThis is standard Game.

Since when did making a statement become defending someone? LOL, you guys read what you want to read. Side note: Unfinity is not a word. Infinity is the correct term.
Now you two run along and play now :wavey:
This mixtape is fucking incredible :o Game just killed it! All Game haters can fuck off now LOL!!
1. L.A. Times - 4.25/5. Beat is hot. Game & EP have great chemistry. Who's on the hook? She's dope. Game sounds really comfortable and good on here. Great opener.lil jay thinks it's nikki grier, could be true.

yeah i saw the spell error
Brake lights was better.
Top notch ish. Loads of album worthy tracks. Can't believe that he got KRS, Kane & Fresh on a hot track and it doesn't make the "real" album. Bring forth the RED album.well the leftovers don't have to be worse than the final cuts.
I been one of the bigger "huge fan-turned-hater" for Game this past 3 years, but this is just fuckin ill. I mean, there is some hot trash on here, but the good songs are pretty damn good. Don't have much time to post, but I think if this was shortened to 1 disc with the best of both, it could seriously compete with L.A.X. and would easily be his best mixtape to date. That being said, The Ocean is ridiculous after a few spins (at first I was like, its cool, but now i'm crazy on this one, nice hook by Dre too . . honestly if you don't like this track theres nothing I could tell you). Dead is fuckin NICE, but that was expected after hearing the studio session like 2 years ago. L.A. Times, R.I.P. Story, and the Dre one with Ashanti were ill as well (although I was def expecting more from the Ashani one). Game is back?? I won't say so, since we know how this guy changes more than the weather and the RED Album is not even on the radar. But I've said it before and i'll say it again, with the right producers and people overseeing his work (Dre, 50, maybe even Pharrell but that remains to be seen) he can be at the top of his game, and perhaps the game as a whole.
All in all, I'm gonna keep my eyes open for the reaction to this, and I haven't even been on the internet in like a week but everyone around me (that listen to rap) has been talking about this. I'd imagine the tracks i'm really feeling will get much better with time and the others will either collect dust or turn into "good" tracks. I'd also imagine the idiots at Interscope will notice at least SOME of this reaction. The Hangover bonus shit should have some good shit on it too. And BTW, I bet almost all of this shit is RED leftovers, especially the higher-end tracks.
think the NO DJ version just leaked

If you were able to condense this down to one cd, what would the tracklist look like?
The Ocean is def album material. I think Dre/Game/Busta in 2010 (now 2011) came real correct with that one. I would take this over at least 1 or 2 of the Dre-produced Documentary tracks. Honestly, if you don't at least like this track a bit I can't take your opinion serious. If your not crazy about it then thats fine, but to say this is in any form "wack" is just fuckin dumb. So far, easily the best track of the year. At first I thought it was a bit of a disappointment, but after a bunch of spins and a day later this track is crazy.it's just a matter of taste, i don't think it's bad, but i doubt i will keep it.
Anyone know the singer on there? And was it confirmed not to be Dre? I would like to take that tracklist serious, but they fucked up other parts too (the Kurupt feature).
EDIT: I think the singer is Blaqtoven, as he has been involved in recent Aftermath shit, and it sounds like him.
LA times sounds a lot like a dre beat, anyone else think so too?
not saying that the credits are wrong
well this is closest to a dre beat from EP that i've heard so far ;)LA times sounds a lot like a dre beat, anyone else think so too?
not saying that the credits are wrong
E.P. is known for having those dre type beats. Game called him the new dre a while back. I actually think he puts out more quality beats than dre in the past 5 years. Not too hard to do i guess but LA Times is the best beat on the album.
I am seriously disappointed in this after being hyped after seeing all of you raving about it. There are way too many fucking fillers on this. Half the tracks aren't even worth a second listen.agreed.
Probably the best Mixtape ever
I can save 10-12 tracks and to me that's a pretty decent album, I've never ever listened to a Mixtape twice in my life, I hate them, this has something different.
Probably the best Mixtape ever...
It's not anywhere near the best mixtape ever, but fuck, it was free. They even gave us the untagged version free, which a lot of artists don't do. There are basically two albums worth of tracks on here. If you don't like something delete it, but it hardly seems worth it to complain.

Why not? Isn't that what this forum is for? That's how people figure out what's worth checking out. I listened to the mixtape based on the comments here. Now I'm voicing my opinion that it was very disappointing.
I could just as easily say it hardly seems worth it to over-hype this. I don't see you complaining about those comments.

I don't understand what you're even talking about. Are you saying you want me to complain about people over-hyping the mixtape? If that's what you're driving at, I'll readily agree that there was some of that going on, but it's not as though it was necessarily deliberate. People were probably just happy that Game dropped his first decent mixtape in a long time. There's nothing wrong with people being excited about an artist's music.
As far as me complaining about it, I think I'll leave the complaining to you. Yes it's a forum, and you're free to complain as much as you want. I was merely pointing out that you're complaining about two discs worth of music that didn't cost you anything.

I'm saying this is a forum and people have a right to voice their opinion. Why should it matter whether this is free or not? Most of you DL everything anyways. Did the last album you DLed cost you anything? I don't know about you, but I always DL before I buy, and I only buy the albums I feel are worthy. So regardless if this had been an album, it still wouldn't have cost me.
It seems fairly stupid to say that an artist can put out whatever the hell they want and as long as its free people shouldn't comment on it.
(1) I did give the reason I didn't like it.
(2) I spent as much time on this mixtape as I do on any other project I check out. I think the music I listen to deserves to be commented on does it not? That's the purpose of a music forum and that's what everyone else in this thread is doing.
(3) If you really have no objection to me commenting on free music then there is no point to any of your posts. You can't say you're fine with me voicing my dislike and then go and complain about it.
The Ocean has a great vibe to it, definitely a solid track. The guy singing on it sounds like the guy who does the bridge on Make Up Sex, so I think it's pretty safe to say that Dre was involved with that track as well like some of us suspected. I like all three of the Dre sessions tracks that have come out so far, but Make Up Sex is the best in my opinion. Everything about that song is really dope, and Game's flow is on point. I wonder why it wasn't put on this tape?

1. Do you mean you're reason was that it was overhyped? That seems like a broad generalization, but so-be it.
2. No argument on this point. This is a music forum, more power to ya.
3. I have no problem with anyone discussing why they do or don't like a song/album/mixtape... whatever. I personally disagree with your complaining about free music without at least giving some feedback for why you didn't like it. But I'm also not the boss of this forum. I don't set the rules but even if I did, I wouldn't try to shut you up just for having a different opinion than mine. As I see it, there was a point to my post. The point I was trying to make is that no one was trying to hustle you (or anyone else). This wasn't some con. It's not as though Game tricked you into buying sub-par songs and ran off with your ten dollars. The artist gave you two albums worth of music to listen to and if you didn't like it you could have sent it to the "recycle bin."

Did you even read my post? I said there was way too much filler and only half the songs were worth listening to more than once. And that I was disappointed based on the expectations set by other people's reactions in this thread. Either you have a problem with that post or you don't. If you do then you're lying right now by saying you don't have a problem. If you don't then there is no point to any of your posts and you should stop replying. Make up your mind.
Fyi, I did send most of the tracks to the recycle bin. I kept the ones I liked and came to this thread to add my input. You clearly have a problem with any negative input or else you wouldn't be complaining.

Really? Who was your initial post directed at then?
If you have a point it is completely lost on me. Obviously its a free mixtape. Obviously I didn't spend any money listening to it. You are simply stating obvious facts that everyone knows. What is the point of that? There is none....
UNLESS you happen to have a problem to me giving a negative review of the mixtape. IF that was the case then your post would make sense. And my response to that as I've told you already, would be that my opinion belongs here just as much as those who loved the tape. This is a music forum and I believe its purpose is for people to discuss music on, including the quality of it. If you don't have a problem with that then I see no reason why you continue to reply.
If you don't like something delete it, but it hardly seems worth it to complain.
I too am confused why you continue to post when you have essentially added nothing. All you did was point out the fact that it was free, which is completely obvious. Its a worthless fact on its own, UNLESS you were using that fact to imply I shouldn't be criticizing it. Which you keep denying. BUTIf you don't like something delete it, but it hardly seems worth it to complain.
You clearly took exception to my opinion. There really is no other way to take your og post.
You took exception to my opinion and posted a reply. I responded to it. If you continue to reply then that's really on you. You're welcome to stop this conversation any time.
However you keep insisting you didn't take exception and were simply stating that it was free. That its free is what is obvious to me and if that was all your post was about then I'm still left wondering what the point of that was.

I still think the point was pretty clear, but even if you don't agree there was a point, I have every right to post. For someone who champions the cause of speaking one's mind, you seem to have a problem with my doing so.

I never said you shouldn't comment about free music.
I haven't denied anything.
Look bro, you were here having this conversation with me. Do I really have to point out how each of my posts have been in reply to yours? If you actually have an opinion then give it already and move on. Instead of criticizing me for dropping mine.

An opinion on the mixtape itself? I'm happy to talk about the mixtape, My original post and subsequent posts were also my opinion though, whether you want to believe it or not. Unfortunately, it's one I've had to give over and over and over now, because you keep bringing it up. If you're ready to move on, all you have to do is stop constantly provoking me about my original post.

Telling me I shouldn't have posted isn't an opinion and it goes against everything a forum stands for. Gtfo of here.

You're telling me not to post something and I'm saying fuck off. Self explanatory?
You could shit on my favorite album and I would go ahead and argue with you that you're wrong for like 6 pages. But I would never tell you that you shouldn't be posting your thoughts on it. That's hurt fanboy behavior. You caught feelings that someone didn't think the mixtape was amazing.
This is some of Game`s best work in YEARS.
haha cmon guys, this is gettin' ridicilous... i ain't no Slaughterhouse fan, but Move On...yeah this is topic about a mixtape :P
well i think more and more artists drop 'street albums'This is some of Game`s best work in YEARS.
I agree. Before hearing this mixtape, I was frankly starting to worry if Game still had it in him to put out quality songs. I wasn't too crazy about "The R.E.D. Room." I thought "Brake Lights" was better but still not anything stellar. But there's definitely some good stuff on here. Really need to give the whole thing a few more listens, but so far I think my favorites are "RIP Story," "Taylor Made," "The Kill," "Heartbreaker," "Soft Rhodes," "I Just Want to Fuck," and "Supastar." Production-wise, it's a really eclectic sounding collection of songs. It's pretty impressive to me though, that he got all these guest artists and original production and then just gave it all away. I don't like all of the songs, but production-wise, I wish this was the standard for mixtapes, rather than just rapping over other artists' instrumentals.
haha cmon guys, this is gettin' ridicilous... i ain't no Slaughterhouse fan, but Move On...yeah this is topic about a mixtape :PThis is some of Game`s best work in YEARS.

Yeah, that's true. And I realize Game isn't the only artist to drop mixtapes with original production, but that format is just so much more listenable than conventional mixtapes, especially the untagged versions that do away with all of the dj's shoutouts and b.s. tagged all over the songs.
yeah the traditional mixtapes suck.
well i can't think of an other artist right now that dropped so much free music in such a short time. although i think bishop lamont is the king of 'street' albums ;)

No I didn't. If you look at my original post, I believe it starts out with me saying that this is not anywhere near the best mixtape of all time, because another person in this thread had said that it was. So, my original post was also directed at them and anyone else who felt like reading it, for that matter. I also don't think this is a perfect mixtape.
But there's a difference between reviewing something critically and complaining. Now, as I've said more times than I can now remember. I'm not the content police of this forum. You can complain as much as you want. My opinion is that rather than complain about a free mixtape, just keep what you want of it and get rid of what you don't.
would much rather discuss the actual merits and shortcomings of the mixtape, as that might actually be interesting whereas this is going nowhere.

The only thing that really comes to mind is Nuttso dropped a whole bunch of free songs a few months ago. But as far as someone dropping that much free music in the form of a couple mixtapes (that pretty much play like albums), I can't think of anyone else.
^put it to rest, JohnyL already did...
