Looks pretty good. I don't think E-40 and $hort need more than one song apiece, considering how many artists there are in the bay.
-
I got other mix's like this already, thanks though

Yea, but I think Jive is only releasing the shit they had the rights to. All of those dudes have been signed to Jive at some point in their careers.

No i got 5 on it = NOT a "best" of bay compilation.

Huh? That was the point i was trying to make y aint it on there? I just worded it wrongly.
Without "I got 5 on it" this album is incomplete.

true
-
i think this is just a comp of artists that released records on jive
-
The Jive Records connection makes sense, which is also why comps like this are usually a poor representation, especially of an entire region of hip hop.
-
Thats the best of the bay ??? :laugh:Come on now
-
u mean the best of the bay who were signed to jive...
-
this jus looks like the same ol songs on a diffrent cd,
-
theres too many classics to try to fit on a 80 min cd.

That's just what they decided to call it, why? Don't know, but all of those songs were released on Jive records. A lot of the classics like 5 On It, Too Hard For The Radio, etc. wasn't on Jive, so obviously Jive didn't have the rights to release that music.

^^^Yeah cuz theres alot of dope cuts from the bay that aint on the album
-
