doctor faustus..... i'm supposed to read that ish for my intermediate exams but haven't done so yet.... as for ben johnson's volpone, this drama is on my list as well, but i'm quite busy reading machiavelli's mandragola & molière's le misanthrop and le malade imaginaire....

Marlowe - like - fav. "The Jew of Malta"

Jonson - like - fav. "Every Man in his Humour"

Kyd (isn't this how it's actually spelled) - like - fav. "The Spanish Tragedy".  
Kyd actually wrote "Hamlet" (also sometimes referred to as the "Ur-Hamlet") but it was lost and it is believed to be the model for Shakespeares's "Hamlet".

It's spelt variously. Kyd is the version encountered in Marlowe's arrest papers, etc. Sometimes it's spelt Kidd (Shakes had about six ways os writing his)
