In the new Juice magazine Kanye West got a 7 pages interview/story including the cover shot.

On the question 'Is College Dropout a perfect album for you' he answers:

Perfect? I don't know. 5 Mics? Yes indeed. The only album I would give 5 Mics except mine is Jay's 'Blueprint'. And tell me, who produced the best songs on it? There you go! I mean, who do you want to give 5 Mics? Tell me one reason why I don't deserve 5 Mics? Peoples say there's better rappers than me, but what does that show? I mean, Ras Kass is a good rapper. But all his albums suck.
Has Nas done an album that was as good as mine? Before this issue you had him on the cover and gave him a 10 page story. I heard, he has many fans in Germany, but why? Because you love loosers?-------------

"loosers"?  Beware of any sources where they couldn't even bother getting the spelling right.

I think this is fake, but maybe somebody from Germany can confirm or deny this.

Well I remember Kanye was interviewed on mtv2 and Toure asked him who he wants to work with that he hasn't yet.  I think Nas was the first guy he brought up.  Then Toure was like 'how would jay feel about that' and kanye was like 'jay knows that i'm a huge fan of Nas' or something to that effect.  Anyways, kanye is arrogant, but i can't really ever remember him blatantly dissing anybody.  Hell he even said he loved the Neptunes.  I think this is fake as fuck.

If it is real, then Kanye needs to do his homework.

This is typed up from a magazine by a poster on WcRydaz, so I'm surprised there's not more spelling mistakes..

Alright, I stand corrected than.  I still agree with him that Ras Kass' albums haven't been that great (great lyricism, though).  However, him calling Nas and the German people "losers" is just moronic and childish.

It may be true that neither Ras Kass or Nas have had a spotless career in rap (shit, Ras never made it big, unfortunately), but who the hell is Kanye to say that after releasing ONE LP? It don't even matter that his album is great, he ought to show some respect to great artists. That's just fucked up...

Besides, College Dropout and Illmatic are completely different albums......pretty hard to compare.  I'd go with Illmatic and IWW over College Dropout, but Kanye's debut IS a great album.

I'm a fan of Kanye but this interview isn't a fake! He said other stupid things like he's angry that not all (american) magazines gave 5 points for his album! He said they had to create a 6th point for College Dropout.
