Title: Westcoast Ringtone Ideas Needed!
Post by: 187Proof on March 28, 2008, 02:40:51 PM: Been rockin the hook on 2Pac's "Good Life" as my ringtone for a couple months now and need to change it up.

Wanna keep it westcoast, but need some good ideas.

Throw me some track titles that you think would make good ringtones.

Even better, if you could tell me what part on the song to use as the ringtone, that'd be real good.

just the beginning of the songs since i dont know how to cut a song to a specific place without losing quality and all, if you can up on yousendit.com the ones you do in mp3 that would be cool!

I always use Cool Edit. If there's a certain song you want done, upload the song for me, and let me know what part you want as the ringtone and I'll make em & post em for ya'll.

I've taken some old classics, some new shit, which I consider suitable for mobiles, some are hooks, some are instrumentals, rarely longer than 20-30 seconds..
A lot of Dre & Timbaland beats, and Nate Dogg, Akon & Butch Cassidy hooks.. as for the SMS-tones, they're only 1 to 2-3 seconds, and usually part of an intro. (Without bass)

And a big fuck you to the mobile providers charging $2 to $6 for a ringtone, or up to $10 a week for a ringtone subscription.. :rant:

I already do make all my own ringtones & I have an iPhone so I just connect via USB and I'm good....but the part I'm having a hard time with is figuring out what song/s to make in to ringtones at the moment. Thanks for sharing the one's you're using though.
