Ok fine, if they even put up a fight next week I'll retract my statement. But if Tennessee of Pit blow them the fuck out like I predict expect someI told you sos.
Remember I doubted the Colts ability to beat the Chargers from day one. Check my posts from last week. The only reason the Colts made the playoffs was a mix of outstanding QB play in December and more importantly an easy schedule to end the season.

Both Tennessee and Pit are too physical for this year's chargers. It's one thing to have your way against a defense whose up the middle run stoppers are the size of small linebackers on Tennessee and Pit. There is only one team left in the playoffs that has no chance what soever of making the Superbowl and that is San Diego.

Last year when LT when out against the Colts, Turner came in and ran right over them. Then SD played a real defense in New England and all those 3rd down conversions and long punt returns everyone gets against the Colts didn't happen. Sproles had a lot of yards. I didn't see him make any plays. I just saw a shitty Colts team get manhandled by blockers.
If the Chargers beat the Titans or Steelers I will dedicate the entire next season to San Diego and devote all my football time to them. That's how sure I am of them not winning another game.

wether or not colts suck against the run mad props to sproles, im still pissed off at that 3rd and 2 play by colts in their own 10 at the end of the game

on the 4th down on that drive, Dungy should have made his punter just run around in the N-zone for like 5 or 10 seconds (as long as he could) and just taken the safety.
figure 1:50 left on the clock 17-16 Colts; punt the ball & make them start at there own 30 with the safety punt.
the Bolts only had to go 20 yards to kick the game tying FG, where if the Colts did what i just said, that would have had to go about 50.
i think it woulda been worth a shot with 1:50 left...

The only real problem I have is that Dungy and Manning have been there for like 7 years together. They brought Dungy because of his ability to make a strong run stopping D, great special teams, power run team, in Tampa, and those were the things that Indy did not have. And 7 years later they are in the exact same position. If New England holds on to that 21-3 lead two years back the whole Dungy era becomes a joke. You put Manning on some of those Dungy Bucs and they win more than one Superbowl and they do it in style.
Even if Dungy retires, who are the Colts getting? His understudy? That team needs a new philosophy. Saturday, Diem and Ugoh can stay but they need some bigger tougher guys on the left and right of Saturday to a)create holes up the middle and push the D line for short yardage, and b) hold off the attack and create a pocket . They need a Mike Alstott type of back. A 250 or more pound power runner because when it's 3rd and 2 and the game is on the line teams need to expect run and be surprised by the pass, not expect pass and be surprised by the run. They also need a third down big man on the receiver core. Either a Burress/Moss type 6'5'' wide out to be able and reach over DBs or a bulky tight end that can make his own space.
On defense I'd like to see Polian go back to the 90's Bills formula. You have you're Smith and Hansen with Freeney and Mathis for your 3-4. You need a middle run stopper like Ted Washington or Vince Wilfork. Then stack your 4 LBs with 2 speed guys and two power guys, and rotate them. If your defensive center can take up two offensive tackles then the rest of that line will be able to put on some real pressure. There's really nothing wrong with the DBs other than the defenses you let them show. Cover 2 is great for most of the game but if you never show any complicated screens and mix it up a team can short pass you to death when you need a 3 and out. Do the Colts ever hide a DB and sneak him in for INTs? I never really see it.
A lot of the pieces to this puzzle are already there. They need to let some guys go; WRs can come and go on that team. If they don't take a pay cut ten cut them. Rhodes is out. They need a fullback and that can be drafted. The D center can be found. You just need a guy over 350 lbs. Around the same weight for the guys you want next to Saturday and right away you'll never lose to the Chargers gain.
