Cube and by a long shot ... unlike Snoop, Cube has an idea of what consistency means .. I'm a big fan of Snoop music but he still needs guidance to make a dope album , which is ,after 15 years of career, a major weakness

Cube had 4 classic albums (AmeriKKKa's, Kill At Will, Death Cert., Predator) b4 snoop dropped Doggystyle so he still got a lot 2 catch up on b4 he gets close to Cube!!

Both are definitely in my top 10 for both artists and albums, but cube is better by far. This was especially evident when he opened for Snoop last year. Even though him and WC were only on for 45 min, they totally killed Snoop and DPG.

I prefer Snoop, not taking anything away from Cube tho. Both dope IMO. Snoop has more charisma and more talented in other aspects. Altho when it comes to gangsta rap, nobody better than Cube.

This is kind of the way I see things too, but Cube still takes it overall. I really liked Top Dogg & Last Meal, so they're probably better than Cube's late 90's stuff. Early stuff, definitely have to go with Cube. Same thing with the new stuff: Paid Tha Cost, R&G, and BCT didn't do anything for me. Laugh now was decent, and I'm looking forward to his new album dropping. For me, it's tied with respect to the side projects.... I have to give Eastsidaz the slight edge on debut album, but Westside Connection's second album was much better than Eastsidaz's second (I can't even stand to put this album on anymore.)
I always thought that Cube did better when making guest appearances (e.g., on Mack 10 or WC's albums.) Lately Snoop has been pretty boring. Cali iz Active was a horrible album and Snoop didn't help at all. Daz and Kurupt redeemed themselves by doing a good Dogg Chit album without Snoop. Lastly, some of Snoop's worst appearances were on the Big Squeeze compilation.

I love Snoop..foreal..but comparin him to Cube is crazy. Cube is arguably the GOAT, he went solo and made it big by dropping two of the greatest albums in hip hop history..back to back. He didnt get any radio or MTV play when he dropped AMW and DC, and still went multiple plat off word of mouth and the greatness of the albums. He didnt need Dre, he didnt Death Row, he never needed that..he did it his own way. To this day, he's truly the only Westcoast artist who has never needed Dre, and doesnt need to holla at him.

Oh..no doubt. I think Helter Skelter not happening is one of the biggest losses to hip hop...it would've EASILY been a westcoast classic on the level of AMW, DC, Chronic, Doggystyle, AEOM and 7 DAY. Also..I kinda wish Dre and Cube hooked up around 91-92...a time when IMO both Cube and Dre were at their creative peak, one as a lyrical genius and the other as a producing genius. Obviously..they still both did ok :)

Lyrically of course I say Cube but musically, mainstream wise and sales Tha Dogg got it hands down. They both are in the top list, both are LOUD voices of the west and both play their positions as West Coast leaders!
